Quite a few years ago I went through my friends list and 'unfollowed' nearly everyone, and now I do that with most new people that I add. Now, aside from a few close friends, the only posts that appear on my feed are news, sports, and posts from bands/celebrities/TV shows etc that I've liked.

Saw someone mention the success of Oprah either on this forum or some other forum.
Which then brings to mind the idea of whether Oprah would have been as successful had a Facebook type medium been available in the late 80's to late 90's.

Had bored household soccer mom types had access to a big distraction like Facebook, would they have paid just as much attention to Oprah?

There is a plug-in you can download that completely mutes your facebook feed. I use it. That way, I have to actively look for someone's status and not get flooded with leftist faggotry. Out of sight, out of mind.

Watch silently, ponder what's wrong with what they're saying, come up with succinct ways of addressing the flaws in their posts, and commit those ways to memory so you have something to say when you get into an argument that lots of people are watching.

I just unfollowed one on Instragram now. She is fat, green haired, and always posting about dumb stuff awkward betas send her on Tinder. Had the the nerve to have an art show based on it with the #thisiswhyimsingle. Cool person in one on one conversations and I knew her from the club scene but a video of her licking a cupcake was the last straw. #youresinglebecauseyourefatwithgreenhair Fat + Green hair = single
