I may be fortunate enough to take an extended trip starting this fall for a few months (maybe even a year). I have funds from a business I sold, IF I can sell my house.
I've been surfing this forum for a wile and I've narrowed it down to Central or South America. I've been to Costa Rica a bunch, but that was almost 10 years ago and I know it's heavily infected with Gringos and real touristy now. I was in Pucon, Chile last year and loved it (for the outdoor scene anyway).
So here's what I'm looking for.
1)I love to kayak, so wherever I go, it needs to have good whitewater (pretty much starting in Mexico going all the way south, has good whitewater in parts, as long as there's mountains around, but even as safe as Colombia is now, the mountains are still not good to go.
2) The area needs to be close to the coast with good surf.
3) It's got to have a "good supply" of hot chicks with a good nightlife.
4) I would prefer it not be too expensive, but I will pay for paradise.
Anyway, I love latin chicks and I want to live short term in a place I can find them and still go kayaking and surfing on nearly a daily basis.
I know that's asking a lot but any information would be appreciated.
One idea I have is to just start driving in Mexico and work my way south, but I would definitely have to have a wingman for that, and there's not that many out there that have my above priorities with cash to spend.

Not necessarily but I would prefer it since it’s warm, cheap, and I speak a little Spanish. But, I’m not stuck on any one area. Do you have any suggestions? And why?

Second that. Go to Brazil. Lot's of pretty women, nice people, and all around fun and laid back lifestyle.
