Apparently the Depo-Provera shot is extremely popular with young women. A girl I knew told me she had recently started taking it, and it was giving her "mega-periods" — i.e., she was having period after period, with very little time in between. The only women that are going to get fat on birth control are the ones who already don't take great care of themselves. Eating a shit diet and drinking alcohol regularly can easily put pounds on if you artificially imbalance your hormones. I have an alternative explanation.

Girls on birth control are planning on being sexually active with multiple partners - something we know women's psyche was never meant to handle. Plus, by removing (or greatly reducing) the chance of pregnancy, they're denying their basic purpose in life. Those two things together create the depression which causes them to eat. Plus, knowing that they most likely won't get pregnant, subconsciously makes their sex drive plummet.

I've had women tell me that being on birth control makes them feel like less of a woman. Or like a post-menopausal woman. And that's exactly how they act - less sexual, less energy, with weight gain and depression.

I use to date and bang a chick who strongly refused to take/use any form of BC due to the side effects. I suggested a non-hormonal option like a copper IUD but she wasn't really down for that either.

Although I found it a bit off putting purely from a potential liability standpoint, I can totally understand and respect why a chick wouldn't want to be fucking with hormones. A LTR I had a long time ago started taking BC pills after 2 months together and she started crying randomly during the day and even during bangs. As soon she stopped taking them, the crying and random emotional breakdowns stopped.

That all said: I'm not convinced BC is a wide-scale contributing factor to weight gain. Maybe the hormones make some women more impulsive or hungry but women get fat because they eat like shit and don't work out. I've dumpster dive before and I know the fundamental difference between a fat chick and a fit chick is self-discipline/self-control when it comes to food intake and exercise.

Both groups of women take birth control. However, one group does this:

1. Eats vegetables, rice, eggs, water, and fruits on most days while exercising 3-5 days a week. If they eat like shit or don't work out, they know it, feel it, and recognize it needs to be counter-balanced.

And the other group does this:

2. Eats pasta, chips, ice cream, butter in everything, and drinks like a fish 95% of the time. The alcohol especially is a HUGE factor in weight gain. These bitches aren't drinking vodka with diet tonic; they are drinking beer, wine, and calorie dense mixed drinks. Usually, they have no concept of even HOW to exercise. Eating healthy is a foreign concept and exercising and eating healthy for 4 days straight JUST ONCE requires "a lot of effort and is REALLY hard."

Birth control ain't the problem. Bitches are fat fucks because they are lazy. Since the vast majority of women take BC, I think this is just bullshit propaganda for women to have an excuse for being a fat fuck.

I'm in a situation with my current LTR where I'm not sure if I should risk getting her on BC and facing potential weight gain that comes with it or just sticking to condoms. For all these girls the injection seems to stimulate their appetite and turns them into compulsive binge eaters and drinkers. They seem to prefer high calorie, low nutrient processed food after taking the shot as well as sugary drinks.
