I find it fascinating how London even managed to elect a Conservative mayor (even though Johnson was quite liberal, but still) in two consecutive elections, 2008 and 2012. Large cities around the world are usually big strongholds for leftists and liberals, while conservatives have a slim chance of being elected there.

I'm struggling to articulate just how fucking incredulous this makes me.
I don't even have to pick up a newspaper or turn on the news to know what every single political commentator is saying: "Sadiq's election proves how we as a country can unite to overcome prejudice and celebrate multiculturalism, to look past a man's beliefs and focus on the most important thing - running the Capital."

And the shrill cries of SJWs all professing about how tolerant and diverse we are and that this is a progressive step in the right direction and about how it reflects the views of ordinary Londoners.

To call this a lamentable situation would be to do it a gross injustice. I love the United Kingdom. I love the green and pleasant fields, I love the history, I love the culture, I love the people, I love the food and I love the values that we used to represent and hold dear. We used to care about out neighbours and put our money where our mouths were. We cared about things like integrity and our nationality used to be a shining beacon for the world to see.
Each year it gets eroded and eroded until eventually there won't be anything left. All in the name of progress.
And whenever you try to bring up the subject, every single goddamn time, you're bombarded with the sentiment that you should feel guilty because of our colonial past and about how the empire was such an evil and vile monstrosity and we should perpetually self-flagellate and apologize for it and let our culture stagnate and die in favour of others as a way of appeasement and apology.

It makes me irate. It really does.
And the absolute worst part is that I can't do a fucking thing about it. I try at the ballot box but it's in vain.
Whenever I see something in the news or hear about some insane new policy being adopted, I just think to myself 'Right, that's another thing to add to the list of 'Things I'd fix if I was the Prime Minister'' to the point where my entire term in office would be nothing but damage control.
But I can't change anything. Believing in the patriarchy alone would be enough to get me disbarred from all political parties in the country. And standing as an independent would achieve precisely two things - jack and shit.

So no matter how intensely that fire, that burning desire inside me is to try and fix things, I can't do a damn thing.
The only things that I, as a man, can control are myself and my immediate environment.
So all I can do is just start taking Russian lessons.

I have some British ancestry myself, it breaks me to see this Islamification happening and spreading all over Europe, I can only imagine what a patriotic brit must feel.

Well, Mr Konkin, given that at one point, Sajid Javid, a paki was joint favourite to lead the Conservatives after Cameron, it is not unfathomable that we could even get a 'paki' as PM. Khan, Patel and Javid are not all Muslims, one is, one is Hindu and one seems to have no religion. They are all South Asian. Once when I was playing poker in a casino, one white English guy started making table talk with me, casually referring to me as a Londoner. I noticed the he didnt talk much to the accented white European immigrants. And I think that's what it comes down to, where you are born and raised, how you speak etc. It seems alot of Europeans have a problem seeing British born South Asians/Africans accepted by white English people. I reckon some of those EE immigrants (coming from largely white countries) may have thought the white English would embrace them as kin only to find themselves well below British born Brown and Black people in the social heirarchy. It's all about how you speak.

I mean Sadiq Khan is not exactly a bearded robe wearing extremist (atleast it does'nt appear that way) so I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. Also, I'm not sure anyone from outside London/England (Europeans/Americans) will have a deep enough understanding of demographics and community cohesion in London to be making the sort of apocolyptic suggestions that I've seen here.

I get the impression many off the posts in this thread are simply instances of thinly veiled base racism, which I am happy to challenge.

In 2008, Rahman, then the council leader, received a visit from the controversial Saudi cleric Sheikh Adel Al-Kalbani, who last year was refused entry into Britain. At the time, Al-Kalbani's visit gave Rahman -- also a close ally of Anjem Choudhury, the well known Islamist and spokesman for the Islamist group Islam4UK -- the image of an Islamist sympathizer. Rahman, who is again standing for the post of Executive Mayor again this month, has never discouraged some of the Islamic values that seem incompatible with the modern European era. I couldn't care less what race is the mayor of London but if you live in London, you know how south Asians operate. South Asians usually only employ their own and once they join a company and get to the top of the chain, they start recruiting their family and friends to come work with them.

Never, ever have I seen an Asian Business in London that employed people from different races. Hopefully the mayor being a Muslim wont have much impact on how politics is run here.

I live in London. I've been avoiding this thread, but it seems the islamocucks have come out in force.

I find all occurrences of Islam appearing as an insult to English culture.

I live in South East London in a "vibrant" neighborhood. I chose this place because the price was good and it had a parking spot for my car. My little neighborhood is an enclave of white people surrounded by Afro-carribeans and other mid-easterners. However, there is a growing presence of all black burqas infesting the area.

Thankfully, I make a decent amount of cash but for the long haul I don't think for a second i will end up making England my long term home. The muslim infestation and multicult that is running rampant in these middle to low income neighborhoods makes me question how safe my children would be going to a school here.

Unless I make three times my income, there is no way I could afford a house, a private Christian school, or any good school for that matter.

One of these days, I'd love to drive through the west end with some big boom boxes at 6am blasting a Muslim call to prayer. See how well those rich bellends like their multiculti BS playing at 6am.
