While you have respect for the forum, you still have not added any value, or met anyone, which is what Gustavus Adolphus is alluding to. Think of this as an initiation, which I fully support. Gustavus Adolphus in my mind has been vetted by other forum members, added value and has the best interest of the forum in mind. He has proved that. You have not. There's a difference.

We don't go easy here and want you to earn your place here beyond just respect. I see way too many people that leech off of the forum and justify it under the guise of "respect" using only junk threads like this to gain momentum. However the momentum is marginal and having a lot of posts or questionable posting history will only get you more scrutiny and no respect or reputation.

You can say what you want and how you want it, but dont be surprised at the consequences. Consider this a friendly reminder. That little rant got you on my radar as well and another one of these moves will cause me to report you.

I think your presence on the forum is very welcome. However, your demeanor so far is not, at least from my standpoint. You can't tell another value adding member to screw off and then come back and say you did nothing wrong. We try to keep this as mature a place as possible. We can go a bit crazy as well; however, we have to earn the right to do that. You haven't put enough value on the forum to come at any of us in that way. You are being evaluated and there is an initiation especially when your posts are questionable. That's what Gustavus' post is and that's what mine is. You're asking to be a part of our community, not the other way around. Alienating established forum members at this stage will not help.

Look, I've been a dick to some members on the forum. However, once I realized it, I've come back and owned up to it. If you can't do that at this point, I see an issue. I've seen it before and I know I'll see it again. I just hope this isn't that case.

Some other members may have a higher tolerance for this and i respect that. However, I'm afraid I don't and if I don't say it, the behavior will most likely come back through the example it sets for other newbies. It falls under the radar very often but it's all too common.
