I've given autonconfirmed users (i.e. users with 10 edits and 2 days' tenure under their belts) power to import pages from Wikipedia. This is useful if, for example, you want to import a bunch of templates. You would just go to http://en.kingswiki.com/wiki/Special:Import and enter the title of the page you want to import. Please be sure to uncheck the box that says "Copy all history revisions for this page". Thanks.

Hey everyone, group vote needed:

I've suggested adding a WYSIWYG editor as Wiki syntax is a bit tricky to learn and I think it would encourage more people to contribute.

Apparently there's an official MediaWiki project for this: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/VisualEditor

Please like this post if you'd be more likely to contribute to KingsWiki if it had such a feature or reply with any other feedback, thanks!

I'm not sure I understand how the new editor would work, but anything to make the wiki simpler to use would be great.

So I decided to close down the site. I obviously don't have enough time to monitor it and its contributors like I can on the forum, and that has allowed individuals with questionable belief systems to have a big role in its upkeep and direction. The kingswiki.com URL, which I own, now forwards to Return Of Kings.

If you see a live version of "Kings Wiki" online somewhere, it's a forked version that Jean Valjean, the original administrator created. I do not own or operate any of his forked sites.

I don't intend of getting involved in a wiki again. Based on where online media is going, wiki's get way less interest/traffic than basic articles or community boards.

It would be nice to see old contributors finding a place to catalogue the various men accused as a result of #MeToo (and also catalogue the various named accusers or the number of anonymous ones).

If proper references are used, it would be an awesome resource, despite the ridiculousness of #MeToo as a movement.

Our present "Sexual allegations thread" on this forum is too long and cumbersome.
