The wiki's email features are now working. If you already created an account and want to set it up so that you can receive emailed notifications, send and receive emails to/from other users, etc. then you can go to http://en.kingswiki.com/wiki/Special:Preferences . You'll need to both add and confirm an email account.

Email addresses won't be publicly revealed, although as Roosh suggested, it's still best to use a burner email account.

People have been adding some unreferenced articles. Rule #2 says, "Stick to the facts. While we have a masculine slant, we will not bend the truth, and all our assertions must be proven. If you are discussing opinions or theories, use language such as 'It appears' or 'It seems.'"

It's tempting to write articles based on one's own personal opinions and experiences (and I've caught myself doing this too, and had to delete my work), but I would suggest a guideline that if an article has been tagged as "unreferenced" for a month, and no one has added any sources, we either delete the article or move it to the Essay namespace or a subpage in userspace. Otherwise, mainspace will fill up with editors' personal opinions, and we'll move away from the wiki's being focused on documenting Red Pill wisdom as expounded by major writers such as Bonecrker, Roissy, Roosh, etc.

We might even say that unreferenced articles should be immediately moved into the Draft namespace, since they don't yet meet the minimum standards for a Kings Wiki article. Sometimes people will want to click a red link and write a quick stub based on their Red Pill reading, but it should usually be pretty easy to use a search engine to find at least one source to cite, even if it's Urban Dictionary or Reddit or something. (Even though those aren't the best sources, the content has at least been slightly vetted in the form of contributor reputation, post upvotes/downvotes, thread comments by other users saying "wow, that's really insightful" or "dude, you're full of shit," etc.) Unreferenced drafts will be considered abandoned and removed after, say, a month.

Should the word "AND" be smaller than "Masculinity" and "Nationalism" and put as "- and -" or "- & -" or something? Should the caption be put in titlecase rather than uppercase? Problem is, making it any smaller might make it illegible at 135px; one already almost has to squint to read it.

Yeah I could definitely change the "And" for - or &. It would save me a little bit of room and I could increase the font size of the caption. Just to be sure, is the & symbol universal ? As for the titlecase, I gave it a try and in my opinion, it doesn't look as good/punchy.

I added a Recipe namespace for sharing cooking knowledge. Now we can be just like the Azerbaijani Wikibooks. Maybe later we can have a "5 Best Recipes of Kings Wiki" RoK article.

I'm adding some websites to the Kings Wiki spam whitelist so that the CAPTCHA won't be triggered when new users post links to sites that are considered non-spammy.

So far I've added Bonecrker, Heartiste, Return of Kings, RooshV, and Roosh V Forum. Any others you want added?

If we're citing references/sources it would be helpful to whitelist news sites (even if some of them are somewhat left-leaning) like NY Times, CNN, RT, Breitbart, etc. Nothing really trashy like Buzzfeed, though.

When it comes to deciding what to exclude from the whitelist, we're not really worried about trashy sites as much as we are spammy sites. The CAPTCHA is a trivial hindrance to an actual human being who wants to add a link to a questionable source (and at any rate, there could be legit reasons, such as criticism, for wanting to link to a Buzzfeed article, even though criticism also helps them by bringing more visitors to their site).

What we're looking to prevent with the CAPTCHA is someone using an automated tool to spam our wiki with URLs for generic Viagra, weight loss supplements, get-rich-quick schemes, etc. If a spammer keeps putting links to the same URL, we can also go a step further and blacklist it. (Unfortunately, Wikimedia/Wikipedia has blacklisted many non-spammy sites, such as Metapedia, for reasons of political correctness, which means we can't just rely on their blacklist without going through and whitelisting the good guys.)

I wrote a MediaWiki extension to give us a special page showing all the external links from Kings Wiki. The hierarchy of the table of contents is set up in such a way as to list all hosts (e.g. Return of Kings) cited by KW articles; then all of each host's individual pages (e.g. "10 Reasons Why Foreign Women Are Better Than American Women") cited by KW articles; and then all the KW articles that cite each of those pages (e.g. "American women").

This extension will have to be modified for scalability as the wiki grows, but it gives you an idea of what the popular sources are. The data the special page uses comes from a snapshot I took in which I ran a maintenance script to poll each of those external links to get the titles. Some, such as mattforney.com, didn't respond to the requests and therefore they aren't listed.

What we're thinking of doing at some point is setting up RVF so that as you browse through threads, you can see what Kings Wiki articles use that particular thread (or various posts in that thread) as a source. Thus, it can be a way for those interested in the topics under discussion at RVF to read further and see how Kings Wiki used the information in those threads to make various points. So for example, if you were reading the RVF post "Oh, did I mention I had a boyfriend/husband?", it would tell you, "The boyfriend objection article on Kings Wiki cites this post."
