Roosh is looking into what font was used in the Kings Wiki logo. We should probably make the Commons logo's font match that.

Is the server hosting this wiki hosted by a server company that will not take this wiki down because of "offensive content"?

It is not my intention to raise panic. I have witnessed several sites, full of useful data, going "poof". I do not want this wiki (which really has potential, good work so far) to suffer the same fate.

P.S Who wrote the Kratom article, lol? It's awesome!

But I seem to have a bit of a problem getting the "external link" thing to work. It keeps showing up at the bottom messed up.

The mediawiki software is kind of annoying, TBH. I tried creating a database with it and it was a pain for everyone. I think that if we switched over to Joomla, our editors would have an easier time building it into something big.

It wouldn't exactly be a "wiki," but it would look a lot sleeker and be easier for everyday editors to work with.

I've started three articles so far- Apocalypse opener, Alpha fucks, beta bucks, and Female hypergamy.

Starting articles is the fun part, the drudge work is staying in there and digging up and adding sources and general article improvement. But, it's very necessary to make these articles as polished as possible in order to make this THE encyclopedia of the Neomasculinity Movement.

By the way, in order to raise this in the Google rankings, we should be trying to link to articles in the Kings Wiki as often as possible in this forum, on RoK posts, and in our individual blogs and social media posts. The Kings Wiki admins need to stay vigilant, as SJWs will probably soon start creating accounts and vandalizing the articles.

One other thing is that we should avoid uploading copyrighted images into the wiki. Wikimedia Commons, Wikipedia's image repository, is a goldmine of public domain images that can be used.

Like, I just made http://en.kingswiki.com/wiki/MSM , and have created links from (pointing to SJW) and to (pointing from http://en.kingswiki.com/wiki/Manosphere) this page. This way, the encyclopedia keeps fun, connected and alive.

so as to tempt forum members into creating pages for real world and productive member of society, plus 5 abominations: soap operas, selfies, sweat pants, Bernie rally, Dr Oz...

Would there be interest in working on a Spanish language Kings Wiki? A lot of us already know some Spanish, and writing wiki articles could help us sharpen our Spanish skills. It's a useful language to know, for work, game, etc. since a lot of the Spanish speakers out there don't know much English.

A French language edition could also be fun. It's another language that a lot of people have taken in school and therefore have some knowledge of. Also, a lot of writers on love and women were Frenchmen. The French also have come up with some amusing turns of phrases like collaboration horizontale.

A Russian wiki would also have a coolness factor, but it would depend on having enough Russian speakers to sustain it.

Looking at this list of Wikipedias, I'm astonished to see the Cebuano Wikipedia coming in at #3 in terms of number of articles. That's a great language for people to learn who are going to have a wife from the Cebuano-speaking areas of the Philippines, although other than that wouldn't be all that useful.

Any other ideas?

Yeah, I was doing some debugging of the wiki's email feature on the production server. Thus far, it still doesn't work; I keep getting "PEAR mail package is not installed" which I guess means that PHP doesn't know where to find it, because the include paths aren't set properly in php.ini, or something.

Feel free to add items to the Kings Wiki main page's In the news and Did you know sections. We've had the same items there since the wiki's founding, and they're starting to get a little stale.

You're also more than welcome to add featured articles and featured quotes. Just click the "Archive" links on the main page and copy the format from another featured article or featured quote in creating a new one. If you write a 2-3 paragraph article, that can make a good enough featured article for now, especially if you have a pic to go with it that looks good when shrunk down to 100 or 120px. As for quotes, if you see a great comment on RVF or to a Return of Kings article or elsewhere on the Internet that would be of interest to the manosphere, you can make that a featured quote.

This is a great way to put people, organizations, ideas, events, etc. you're interested in before a larger audience, and get people to bookmark the Kings Wiki main page so they can see fresh new content every day. At some point, I'm hoping we can also figure out a way to set it up so that people can subscribe to an email list that will give them the featured articles and featured quotes, along with the newest news items and did you know items, in their email box every day.
