Sure is funny hearing an ex-MMA fighter talk about how inciting violence is a bad thing.

I suppose wrestling's only okay when mommy's supervising.

RE: Gavin McInnes thread
This is increasingly going to mark the main schism in the Right.

On one side of that schism we're going to have the delusional cucks who seem bound and determined to ignore the threat of another round of communist gulags and mass graves numbering in the tens if not hundreds of millions worldwide. The way guys like Rogan talk about this stuff, it's all functionally hypothetical. To these rich, insulated fuckwits (and their poorer yet equally delusional kindred spirits) political violence is something you can simply opt out of at your leisure. Theirs is a world where politics is always and forever going to be decided by lawful actors operating in the public sphere and though individual rights might be trivially infringed upon it's really all just nuance.

It is beyond their capacity to imagine that they could one day simply be arrested at their studio, tossed into a truck with a bunch of other "enemies of the people", unloaded on a service road in the forest and immediately shot in the back of the head.

In fact, some of these people are so far gone that if you saved them at the last moment they would wander back to town and file a complaint with the commissary, citing a lack of due process.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

I can't speak to your motivations regarding family. It's obviously your place to weigh up the dangers. But things are escalating rapidly and I think you of all people are aware of that. Millions of people last century underestimated just how bad things would get. Just how brazen the authorities would be in rounding up dissidents. You obviously still have time to get in and out for now, but as a parent I can tell you this.

I would want my kids to stay safe, no matter how badly that affected my chances to see out my twilight years with a tad more dignity.

I'm already in for a penny and in for a pound on internet dissidence so that boat has sailed, but if my kids were in your position I would be both proud that they were standing up for what was right, and glad that they were as far away as possible from the people that wanted to do them harm. My comfort in my final years would be the least of my concerns.

That's my honest opinion as a father.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

Apparently he has been banned from entering Australia:

https://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2018-11-3...fmredir=sm

He was slated to do some kind of speaking tour.

"Lawyer Nyadol Nyuon, who founded the petition, said the Government's decision was a win for free speech.

"To have allowed him to come still I think would have made it seem as if the Government had given tacit approval at the very least to these calls for violence against people you don't agree with as a legitimate form of free speech," she said.

"It's not and it should never be."

"I'm happy that women, non-whites, certain members of the LGBTI communities don't have to live in an atmosphere of fear after these individuals are allowed to come in, or from the fear of what that might suggest to them," she said."

The double speak from this lawyer is amazing. Also the fact that The Proud Boys are basically pro gay and definitely racially open. This is sad but not surprising.

Realistically there is no place on earth that is safe if tptb decide to bring the hammer down on you. They can get you just as easily in any country in the world as they could in the USA if they wanted to. Maybe it would take some extra money but if you have the printing press . who cares.

If they arrest you in the USA or a Western country at least you will be in a relatively cozy prison. If they arrest you in a foreign land the conditions will be far worse. Food for thought.

Disappointed, but not surprised. I knew as soon as I learned of the existence of a petition, that Australia would cuck out.

One thing that did come of this little episode, was that it redpilled my wife good. When I told her I was going to Gavin McInnes, her first response was "who's that?". She watched a few youtube videos of him and decided she really liked him, and actually wanted to come too. I showed her the pages for the planned protests, told her she'd be heckled and what not, but she was cool with that, she knew I'd keep her safe.

Then the hit pieces started coming, and I showed her the articles, claiming that he was racist, sexist, homophobic etc. She was dumbfounded - "But...but...but...how can they say this? They're not true!".

I don't remember a precise moment when I got redpilled, but this was definitely her moment. Another set of eyes has been opened.

RE: Gavin McInnes thread
It's such bullshit because McInnes and the PBs only use violence in self defense. If some Antifa faggots take a poke at them they fight back rather than turtling or turning the other cheek. About the only thing you can fault them for is that they go places where one might expect Antifa thugs and the like to show up and attack them. They aren't really anti-anything or whatever-phobic; McInnes has stated time and again that PBs are "western chavanists", which is a cultural thing rather than racial and AFAIK, they don't have a position one way or the other on homosexuality. However, because they explicitly reject the global multicult opponents feel they have license to label them with any leftist slander that comes into their pointy heads.

I sort of share their point of view in that I have described myself as cultural imperialist (typically when some ignorant schmuck calls me a racist) but the Proud Boys aren't my cup of tea. Tattoos and hazing were more of a thing when I was in the military 25 years ago.

Just read the article. WaPo dedicates about 2/3 of the article to say "buuuuuuuuttt many other still consider them white nationalists!!!" basically implying is OK to continue labeling them as such.

I’d enlist in Civil War 2 just to get all of Gavin’s old material back on youtube. He has about 1/20th of the videos up there from when I first discovered him.

For real though, it’s a damn shame what’s happening to him. Guy is one of the funniest people alive and I used to listen to one of his videos every night to get a chuckle and remind myself that there’s still some sanity left in this world. His views are far from extreme.

The Trump admin is doing NOTHING on the internet censorship front and he deserves to lose in 2020 if he doesn’t tackle this. Violence is coming if this censorship doesn’t stop.

Anthony Cumia said recently that Gavin would be welcome back on his network. For about a year, TGMS was the best thing on the internet. I'd love to see it start up again, I thought his CRTV show kinda sucked. I also thought that TGMS was a lot better before Gavin got really into the Proud Boys movement. Bad idea from day one. He's not cut out for leadership, but he's a brilliant and hilarious commentator. Basically the best at what he does, which is general and political commentary from a comedic, right wing perspective. Hoping he rediscovers his roots.

America and the West more broadly are so cucked that anyone "cut out for street level leadership" is by default too scary or masculine or plain edgy for 99.99 percent of the population of faggots we are currently burdened with.

The only reason the Proudboys ever got off the ground is because McInnes is loudmouthed but otherwise camp and nowhere near masculine.

What aspect of his leadership could McInnes possibly have altered that would have made the Proudboys a more effective movement? From my measure he executed a perfect game. He started a purely inclusive movement and used it in an entirely lawful manner. What could he possibly have done differently that wouldn't have made the Proudboys irrelevant on one side or illegal on the other?

By punching a hole below the Proudboy's waterline despite them committing no factional crime, the deep state has as much as said "if you guys on the Right want to hold a public gathering large enough that it wont fit in a phone booth then we will:

Use our media arm to slander you as criminals.
Use that slander to mark you for physical attack.
Use the resultant altercation to have you charged with organised crime laws.
Toss you in jail and/or disbar you from gathering on threat of further charges.

Ergo the public square is now a dead letter. Trump is evidently incapable-of or unwilling-to take control of the Federal apparatus. Right wing money is either incapable-of or unwilling-to back their street level players in court and escalate to the SCOTUS where necessary.

From this point on it would be wise to assume that anywhere the Feds have reach is governed by the "they can only hang you once" rule. Violence will now go from zero to 100 with little to no warning in the interim, because the Left is allowed to run amok while the Right is not even allowed to gather in public and defend themselves from the inevitable attack.

And lets not kid ourselves that the FBI backtracking on the Proudboys is a win. Those fuckers were keeping that on the down low and got caught. They haven't changed a single fucking stripe of their deep state colors. They've just shifted the Proudboys to the "not technically a hate-group, buuuuuuuuuutttttt......." list.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

It's a good thing he has "fuck you" money.

Just like that, his career is over, again. He's done it before, but I wonder if he has the fight in him to start all over from scratch again. He's had to do it so many times already. I think I'd just hang it up if I were in his shoes.

He started a purely inclusive movement and used it in an entirely lawful manner. What could he possibly have done differently that wouldn't have made the Proudboys irrelevant on one side or illegal on the other?

In my opinion the PB movement itself was a bad idea from day one. Giving a name to the cause and then adopting uniforms means creating a target, and Gavin knew this. His mantra was we're gonna get in your face and you're not gonna do a thing about it, if you try anything we'll kick your ass... well, not me personally since I'm not a fighter, but one of my Fred Perry-clad oxen will knock you out!

The kind of movement Gavin wants needs to be leaderless, as intangible as possible, only bound by its ideas. Meme warfare personified. Just a bunch of Trump supporters who meet up for beers and talk about life. Then if anything happens, a fight with ANTIFA, etc., there's really no one to demonize (other than "Trump supporters" but so what). Gavin is smart enough to know this, but as you pointed out, he is nowhere near masculine, and perhaps the most important characteristic of masculinity is accountability. Gavin reminds me of the kid who'd try and get other kids to fight in school.

On Joe Rogan's show: "I started this gang... it's every guy's dream to be leader of a gang... if you wanna get your third degree membership, you gotta get arrested for the cause"

On CRTV when stepping down from the PBs: "I was never their leader, only their founder... we do not condone violence or any criminal activity"

(I'm paraphrasing here, but the sentiment is accurate)

Furthermore, as much as Gavin tried to hang his hat on the fact they had black/brown/gay/Jewish members, there was too much overt racism in the group (a black friend showed me screengrabs from their FB group and dudes were posting the kinds of things that will get everyone inc. the FBI coming after you). Dante Nero (a black guy), who Gavin appointed "Pope" of the Proudboys left the group due to racism (poor fucker even had PROUDBOY tattooed on his neck). I'm pretty sure he and Gavin are no longer friends. Having a "Pope" in the first place is stupid, making it a black guy when your group is full of white race trolls is really stupid.

In summary, I enjoyed TGMS back when it consisted of general and political discussion from a redpilled perspective, and I enjoyed the diverse array of guests (note that "general discussion entertainment shows" like TGMS or JRE is one venue where diversity is a good thing). Aside from being bound to fail for the reasons I've mentioned, Gavin putting his energy behind the Proudboys ruined TGMS. Whether Gavin wanted to produce a great show, or to advance a political agenda, the Proudboys were a bad idea.
