Taliban terror attack in Pakistan 65+ dead
http://english.alarabiya.net/en/News/asi...-park.html

Quote:A Taliban faction on Sunday claimed responsibility for a suicide bomb attack on the Pakistani city of Lahore, which killed at least 65 and wounding around 280.

In a statement from Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, the group said that Christians - who had gathered in the park to celebrate Easter Sunday, were the targets.

“The target were Christians,” said a spokesman for the faction, Ehsanullah Ehsan. “We want to send this message to Minister Nawaz Sharif that we have entered Lahore. He can do what he wants but he won’t be able to stop us. Our suicide bombers will continue these attacks.”

Quote:Eyewitnesses said they saw body parts strewn across the parking lot once the dust had settled after the blast.

“When the blast occurred, the flames were so high they reached above the trees and I saw bodies flying in the air,” said Hasan Imran, 30, a resident who had come to Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park for a walk.

Salman Rafique, a health adviser for the Punjab provincial government, put the death toll at at least 60 people.

“There are more than 280 injured people,” Rafique said. “Many are in operation theatres now being treated and we fear that the death toll may climb considerably.”

Mustansar Feroz, police superintendent for the area in which the park is located, said most of the injured and dead were women and children.

The United States, a strategic ally of Pakistan, condemned the attack.

“The United States stands with the people and government of Pakistan at this difficult hour. We will continue to work with our partners in Pakistan and across the region ... to root out the scourge of terrorism,” White House National Security Council spokesman Ned Price said in a statement.

‘May god shower his wrath’

Media footage showed children and women standing in pools of blood outside the park, crying and screaming and rescue officials, police and bystanders carrying injured people to ambulances and private cars.

Dozens of women and children were seen being wheeled into hospitals, covered in blood. Many of the injured were transported to hospitals on taxis and auto-rickshaws due to a shortage of ambulances. Hundreds of citizens arrived outside hospitals to donate blood.

Local television channels reported that many of the dead bodies were being kept in hospital wards as morgues were overcrowded.

Islam is in war with everyone and everything that don't repent and serve.

We will stand tall in the sunshine

For us, these conflicts can be resolved by appeal to the deeply ingrained higher principle embodied in the law, that individuals have the right (within defined limits) to choose how to live. Deplorable. Media silence here in Australia on this. Only mention is a sentence caption at the bottom of the screen.

Plenty of talk though about protests in Belgium by "far right thugs."

Pakistan is 99% Muslim, in the post above there is a typo or a serious misunderstanding, 65 human beings died (Muslims most likely). Sad day, a very sad day. Talibans etc do not care whoever gets in their way they go after them muslims or christians they do not discriminate.

Pakistan's Army has been fighting the war against terrorism and getting the backlash as they have unchecked orders with Afghanistan. Every time Pakistan's Army takes an offensive against Taliban. there is a surge of Bomb Blasts in Pakistan which kills peaceful Muslims mostly. So yes even the Muslims are sick of this nonsense.

I can post a long list of attacks conducted by Taliban in Pakistan but read this one targeting the kids of Military personnel in Peshawar, Pakistan. Taliban came in the school and singled out kids of top military brass first and then onwards, brings tears to my eyes .....

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-30491435

I will post some more in main Don Trump thread as I do hope Mr. Trump coming in power will restrict the Foreign policy which created this monster named Taliban hurting innocent people all over the globe.

I hope this thread does not bait and paint all the muslims with the same brush, some of them have a grounded head on their shoulders and want to stop this nonsense and fix the problem.

RE: Taliban terror attack in Pakistan 65+ dead
Lothario, in this case Christians celebrating Easter were specifically targeted in the attack. It's true that it's not easy to find Christians in Pakistan, but apparently they were able to find them in Lahore:

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/28/world/....html?_r=0

Quote:The blast, which appeared to be caused by a suicide bomber, occurred in a parking lot at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park, one of the largest parks in Lahore, said Haider Ashraf, a senior police official in Lahore.

Jamaat-e-Ahrar, a splinter faction of the Pakistani Taliban, claimed responsibility for the blast. Its spokesman, Ehsanullah Ehsan, said Christians were the target.

...

Even though Pakistani officials rebutted the claim that Christians were the target, a large number of Christian families were in the park because of the Easter holiday, the local news media reported. The 67-acre park has walking paths, as well as rides for children.

...

Yousaf Masih, 50, who said he is Christian, said: “We came to the park after the Easter church services. We brought our food basket along with us, and like the usual outing on our festivals, we were spending our day.”

“There was a lot of rush due to Easter,” Mr. Masih said, adding that “a majority” of the people in that area of the park were Christian. “My children were playing cricket when we heard a huge blast on the main gate of the park. It was mayhem. Everyone was running for their lives. On our way out, we saw the body of the suicide bomber in the parking area.”

same old shit, sixes and sevens Shaft...

For how many years has Pakistan harboured both the Pakistan Taliban and their Afghanistan counterparts? Al'Quaeda too? Whilst I won't gloat over their deaths, the stupidity of Pakistani people for allowing them to fester for so long should indicate what happens to a country when you allow Islamic hardliners free reign.

Eventually you upset them and then they turn up at a local school or sports arena and kill dozens or hundreds of people indiscriminately. You cannot expect the world to be shocked over this.

Areed LOZ, my mistake in this case most of the people who died would have been Christians, Pakistani christians. Sad indeed and I want to do something to stop it.

Innocent People in Pakistan have suffered a lot. Terrorist attacks in 2015, Bomb blasts in 2016 so far have killed more then 90 in 2016 alone.

Innocent Minorities in Pakistan Christians and Hindus etc have suffered even more. I want all this nonsense to end.

You nationalistic shitlords. Obviously this is merely the act of the minority. We need to accept more Muslims into the West so we don't hurt their feelings and force them to blow up innocent people.

Of course the broad is trying to lay blame at the feet of the West, the CIA, the New World Order, and the international Jewish conspiracy. You spend some time with these people and you begin to realize that they will never blame their faith for any wrongdoing, instead they'll try to shift the blame to some half-crocked conspiracy theory in which Muslims are the victims.

Sickening. Nasty people.

Agreed, the Pakistani government is no angel either, for many years they have harbored multiple terrorist groups that were conveniently used against specifically their main rival India. For example: the Lashkar-e-Taiba organization that carried out the Mumbai attacks.

Quote: ...The general view of India and the Western countries, including of experts such as former French investigating magistrate Jean-Louis Bruguière and New America Foundation president Steve Coll is that Pakistan's main intelligence agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), continues to give LeT help and protection.
(From Wikipedia)

While innocent deaths anywhere are no doubt heartbreaking, when dealing with politics one has to be unattached and only look at the facts. You have a country that supports terrorist groups to attack their neighbor for being a different religion, as well as heavily persecutes its Christian and Hindu minorities. Sad? Yes. Surprising? Not really.

Meanwhile, Christian and Jewish refugees from the M.E. (ie ACTUAL refugees) are being persecuted in the refugee quarters of Europe by muslim economic migrants.

She isn't wrong.

Google neoconservatism. Neocons were calling for regime change in Iraq for years.

Look at this email release:

Quote:The best way to help Israel deal with Iran's growing nuclear capability is to help the people of Syria overthrow the regime of Bashar Assad.

Source: https://wikileaks.org/clinton-emails/ema...#efmADMAFf

Look at this:

Quote:The United States could do a thorough job of destruction, but Israel alone can do what’s necessary. Such action should be combined with vigorous American support for Iran’s opposition, aimed at regime change in Tehran.

Source: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/26/opinio...-iran.html

The United States is keeping the Middle East in a constant state of chaos for the sake of Israel's security. This is a fact and there are mountains of evidence to prove this.

Terrible, since half of my family is Pakistani.

Sad news to hear, and of course they did it to Christians.

I would never visit the motherland.

I can't wait for the Pakistani flags to cover Facebook profile pics - oh wait they don't give a shit about terrorist attacks in third world countries !

Like has been said, Pakistani's have long suffered this fate.

They made their bed along time ago and now they're sleeping in it.

They have ALOT of cleaning up to do, but I'm not sure it can be done.

I started doubting when I first saw pictures of women because I spent more than three weeks in Lahore and I did barely see any women on the streets at all. But now when I see it was Christians celebrating easter it makes sense. Lots of different people there.

Crazy place. A true beauty of a beast.
Maybe the most insane place I have ever been to.

I expect nothing else than more turmoil and bombs to explode in Lahore.
