Attitudes on relationships - how long do you plan to play the game for?
Just curious. Not meant to be a beta thread, which I anticipate I will be accused of.
Here's my basic story - of the first two girls I dated in high school, one of them lied to me, the other one broke up with me bc she had psych issues etc.
So after that, I basically had a women are bitches attitude. Result = lots of notches.
Unfortunately though, I had a couple of long term girlfriends who were marriage material, and I loved, but in both cases I cheated on them repeatedly and was eventually caught.
Now I'm 31, and I very much enjoy chasing new tail, yet as I see more and more of my friends get married, etc...I start to wonder in an abstract sense, if/when I will choose that.
I never wanted that early, my dad was a big time PUA back in the day ( in his word's a ladies man), got married at 35 and had me at 40.

What? So it never crosses your mind at all that one day you might decide to do things a little differently? You have been with a lot of women by now, at least a couple of them must have been partially interesting when they weren't being fed your man meat.

Many if not most hyper-alphas-- top .0001 of the top 1%-- billionaires, top-10-in-the-world movie stars, rock stars and rulers of empires past and present get married (Napoleon, Julius Caesar, Obama, Sarkozky, etc).

They all could have a different model-level chick literally every night if they wanted to. (Although not the politicians I guess.)

So the reason they did that was............[___________]?

I'm already a sub-beta, AFC geezer chump, so don't blame me, I'm only the messenger.

Also, hate to play the "I'm older than you" card, but -- I'm older than you and when someone who's 27 declares what lifestyle they'll live
until they're 50, 60, "forever', dead, it's highly suspect as to whether they really will carry that out. Their declaration is simply a fantasized plan without objective substance except that they may be doing it currently.

RE: Attitudes on relationships - how long do you plan to play the game for?
Allright, I'm 35 now and got married at 33 and had a kid the same year. Actually, that's why I got married - I told my ol'lady I wanted a family and if she got pregnant we'd get married, so we went at it. She's 25 now, 23 then.

Not like I felt tired of gaming, but I thought hell, when I have kids and drive them to school I don't want people to think I'm their Grandpa. Actually, the issue was not what people would think, but rather that I wanted to still be young at heart when I raise them and be able to connect and think like a young person does, which gets harder and harder the older you get.

However, word of advice - do NOT get married just because you love someone. Wait till she's pregnant and only marry when you want to have a family, and that means KIDS. To get hitched is a huge limitation on your freedom and is only worth it for the sake of your kids. It is a big sacrifice, but isn't it one your old man made for you?

I can think of a possible explanation for this. Some of those people have such a massive amount of power/adulation/wealth/etc, that this fills the void that many of us with more mundane and ordinary lives try to fill with just another piece of ass.
There is also a basic human need to form close bonds with others.
Of course, there can be conflict in this, if you can't separate your desire to keep fucking from your desire to also have a stable bond, which was the bane of my 20s.

The reason is because society deems that politicians should be married and role models, although they are a sack of ----.

Every married guy I know cries about being married, there is not one guy I know who has a marriage that I would want. Freedom is a hard thing to relinquish.

When no-fault divorce is abolished and a divorce that I didn't even want doesn't mean I give half my stuff to some broad who has a full-time job, too.

EDIT: So basically I can be married and still whore around on the side without worrying that when my wife finds out she gets half of my stuff.

As an admitted "sub-beta", anything you say I assume is for entertainment purposes. It's cute that you took the time to figure out how old I am, as if it negates my opinions somehow. As a self declared "sub-beta, geezer". I assume you must be in your early 40s, 2.5 kids and married the first "5" you could get to commit. Whatever works.

I'm in my early 40's, no kids, married the first "5" I could get to commit, and while the first 18 years are great, got thoroughly screwed on the deal now that she's gotten bored.

Honestly? I'd marry again. With a solid prenup and other precautions, but I will happily say that when it was good it was really good. Now that it's bad it's almost ruining me, mind you, but it was really good for a really long time.

I'm in my early forties and a custodial parent. The reason I found this forum because i was looking around for information about Colombian women. And boy did I get it!!
I wanted to marry one because of some of my SA friends wives are so hot and good familia people. The only reason for marriage is for the green card or else I would never think about it.
I'm going strong Kid and all, these days and my game has improved a lot and can't see why you should'nt keep it going as long as you live.
Maybe a experimental 40+ subforum is on the horizon?

RE: Attitudes on relationships - how long do you plan to play the game for?
Relationships aren't necessarily a bad thing. But like everything else there are pros and cons. If you are in the US(probably elsewhere as well) the laws are stacked against you. If you want a LTR cohabitation is the way to go. Problem is most girls will get annoyed that you have not asked them to get married after 4, or 5 years, but who knows I've never had a relationship that lasted close to that long.

I've been in relationships and the biggest cons are lack of freedom, and lack of different pussy. I've gotten bored sexually with all the girls I've dated for more than a few months. I'm not sure if this is a male trait, or just me but it's a problem for me at times. No matter how good looking a girl has been I get bored of her eventually. So for me I'm not sure if I can ever get married, or maybe some day I'll find a girl I don't get bored of.

There are a lot of positives as well, a good girl who is supportive and there for you if a very positive experience. I've had girlfriends who would do almost anything for me, which was great. Bottom line is you have to weigh everything and think it through for yourself. Fuck what anyone else thinks, don't get into a relationship or get married cause all your friends are, and don't do it out of fear of being alone in the future, do it if you want to because of your own reasons. And if not then game on, for some guys they'll probably game for life. I'm not sure if I'll be in that category but it's possible.

RE: Attitudes on relationships - how long do you plan to play the game for?
When I raised the questions of lasting relationships and why hyper-alphas (outside of politicians, who as above poster pointed out have a wife as a job requirement) seek LTR, I NEVER meant to imply you should allow yourself to become vulnerable financially to a woman's temper!!!

I'm so paranoid I assumed incorrectly that was taken for granted. Here in the US if you are middle class she can ruin you in a day if you have kids.
I would NEVER have kids in the USA with the way the system works now, unless I had 5 milion plus and could afford to lose half and still live well.

She'll get custody, child support usually both in unfair amounts, and family courts don't work like criminal courts-- there's no appeal mechanism in the same way.

If she knows her living standard _plummets_ if she can't get along with you, miracle of miracles, she figures out how to get along with you if you aren't a total ogre.

What the French middle class seem to do is stay married, but have affairs discreetly on the side. Seems like a realistic way to have variety and emotional security.
