"Have you been thinking about me?"
I think I blew this one. Happened over chat.

Girl asks me "Have you been thinking about me?"

We are in different cities at the moment, but will soon be in the same one.

I knew I couldn't say "Yes", but I just said something about the last town we were in together and we both knew my answer was pretty lame. Salvageable, but still, I coulda done better.

What's a non-beta, non-asshole, playful response to questions like this? A good reframe would be excellent, but I'm stumped.

Thanks guys, love y'all.

The answer to this question really depends on the stage of your relationship.

Sometimes it's best to parrot the question back, be cocky/funny, or aim for charming. In other words... "it depends".

RE: "Have you been thinking about me?"
This would be early in the relationship.

Thanks for the tries. I think that being sarcastic is difficult over the internet, especially in Spanish. Even in person, too much sarcasm just flies over people's heads. So not sure the "at least 10 times a day" would work in that context.

I like the sandwich one, but it seems a little too dick. The bed post one seems a little too forward.

For now, the best response seems to be just turning the question around on her, but I just know there's a snappy answer on the tip of my tongue...

You mean about you as a whole or about parts?

I suck at this too i do not like virtual interaction cos it takes away so many advantages of being in person.

Analyzing the situation of the distance and whatnot, you're GONNAWANNA build up as much intrigue as possible so she's looking fwd to seeing you.
just say maybe, a little bit then throw the question back at her. then banter a little bit

i say limit all chat/phone interactions cos it's boring and takes the advantage from you.

p.s. if you can't field a simple question like that, then you should be approaching more to get used to improvisation and shit

My usual answer in the past has been, with a very cocky tone, "meh, just a little bit"

I agree with this one. Everytime I ended up having sex with women is because I respectfully told her to take her clothes off cuz I want to fuck her now!

I gotta admit, this is something that'll catch me freezing around girls sometimes.

I hate it when this question is asked!

Punchballs of course!

How about making a fist under your chin for 4-6 seconds and say, "I just did, and it felt pretty god to be honest"?

Somebody get it in writing, quick!

That's not bad, Chad. Could be useful for "Do/Did you miss me?" as well...giving her less than she expects.

RE: "Have you been thinking about me?"
I'd say 'yeah, my other girls just remind me of you' / 'Mucho. mis otras chicas sólo me hacen acordarme de ti'
But Bars' answer is the best
