Let's hope this bill get's through the Colombian congress!

A bill to Legalize Marijuana for recretional use goes up before the Colombian congress July 20th.

The 12 lawmakers working on the legislation plan to present the bill on July 20, the first day after summer recess.

According to the congressman, the “war on drugs” initiated by late US President Richard Nixon and the repressive measures to curb drug consumption adopted in Colombia has cost the country tens of thousands of dollars and thousands of lives – and have evidently failed.

The politicians – ambitiously – seek to overhaul Duque’s entire drug policy. Instead of trying to recriminalize the use of drugs, the lawmakers want to strengthen the country’s public health legislation to combat drug use, a policy similar to the one in place in countries like Portugal and parts of the United States.

Furthermore, the lawmakers believe that their pending policy proposal may reduce coca cultivation, by allowing farmers to grow marijuana, a drug with considerably less harmful effects on consumers that has lost the interest of drug traffickers after US states began producing their own weed.

I’ll see all of you hell bound heathens over at the Swooptheworld forum, I spoke to 20Nation and THC, they have it up and running.

I may keep posting here on subjects other than chasing than chicas, like many have posted on here recently, the international poon chasing isn’t what it’s all cracked up to be, especially as you approach your 40s.

I know that many guys are disappointed and I am too but I wish Roosh all the best of luck. I definitely don’t recommend the lifestyle I’ve lived over the years but I was living that way long before I discovered the forum, I definitely enjoyed my time here. Myself I am getting increasing bored with this lifestyle and an looking into slowing down and possibly finding an LTR.

Hello fellow forum members.

This is my first post.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading threads and posts on this forum. Some of you I would love to meet.

I have been living in Colombia for almost 4 years now. Based in Barranquilla.

Main reason for posting: If any members are in town or planning to come over, I can be a wingman. I am finding it increasingly difficult to going out solo.

I remember a member posting some (+) comments about a club called Lovumba on 'Calle 84'. I just passed it twice tonight and what motivated me to post was seeing all the nice chicks strolling in.

About me: I am almost 6'2'', White, Brown eyes/hair. (I am considered a mono (blonde) here, however as most of you know, that is because >95% of people here have black hair. 45 years old, somewhat in shape. I have to lose 5 kilos. I prefer to be direct with the girls here. It has worked for me. My opening game is really bad, but after that usually alright. Dancing is average and I haven't danced since last year.

It kind of seemed like weed was semi legal anyway, people toking openly in public parks and buying edibles from stores. This could even hurt weed game, now you won't need go find "privacy" to smoke and hug/kiss close.

Yes and No....When Presidente Duque banned the "Personal dose" law which allowed The so-called “dosis personal” individuals to have in their possession a maximum quantity of 20 grams of marijuana, 5 grams of hashish, 1 gram of cocaine and 2 grams of methaqualone without facing criminal charges if stopped by the police.

Now Police can stop you and as of October 1, police have carte blanche to arrest anyone carrying a minimum dosis of hallucinogenic drugs – including marijuana – used either recreationally or medicinally......

Will they do this to most Colombians.....most likely No.....bigger problems to face.....will they use this to fleece tourist aka Gringos out of money.....You better believe it! Lets hope they pass this bill.

@Scotian I was curious... If you were to find someone for an LTR, would you prefer someone from Mexico than Colombia?

Mexico because Mexicans can come to Canada visa free and there’s cheap direct flights, I got on the plane at 8am in Edmonton today and got to Puerto Vallarta at 1pm, paid $700 USD for an all inclusive resort, all in. The 15 hour flight to Bogota via Toronto or Houston would cost the same price.

I'm off to Medellin for 8 days, I land on 25th July. Not booked a place yet. I'm sure there's a lot of RVFers out there so it would be cool to meet some members out there.

Car hire is pretty cheap, would you guys recommend a rental car or is that too much of a hassle?
