Anywhere in the world to get top tier chicks who come from the upper middle class and above takes time, money and social connections for the most part. Yes, you have gorgeous girls from the poorer parts and it can be easier in some ways and vice versa difficult. Each type of girl has their own different issues and ones that are common.
I said this before, to date the upper middle class and above girls get ready to fork over money going to fincas or travelling for puentes (long weekends) and holidays. Get ready to go to all of her friends birthday parties and her family weddings, christenings and birthday parties for the kids. Your weekends will be shot. Don't believe me. Ask any dude who is dating a girl from a estrato 5-6 barrio if his gf or wife drags him to her friends or coworkers birthdays etc.
You think simple empanadas and arepas from the street corner are gonna keep her happy for long?
This fascination to date these types for those visiting is simply a pipe dream. Foreigners are still stigmatized as being sex tourists and below them.
Living there, it is possible. Just like others mentioned you will have to get local friends etc. Just get ready to spend spend spend. I will be frank. It will be cheaper for you to go to the most expensive casa or strip club and pay for it twice a week than to have such a girlfriend. Just saying.
Part of the allure for all of Colombia for me is the value I get for my dollar. Yes , there are certain things that are more expensive than my home base of Toronto, but to live a simple life, it's great. I do like to have the luxuries and to eat out etc. But it's much cheaper than Toronto. From taxis, food to booze. Colombia wins hands down. I'm off on a tangent.
For the majority of visitors to Colombia, do your best to get the girl you want. Just be socially aware of what you are seeking As for those who are living there, id say don't stress it and seek out the richer beautiful girls. If it happens great. If not, the chica from the estrato 2-3 and is happy with a few empanadas for lunch and is hot, is also a great choice.
I've seen foreigners with chicks you would think, why is he with her? Vice versa I've seen girls with foreigners and thought the same except I've suspected that there is a financial transaction going on.
Short term- guys just enjoy yourselves. Use your wit and social awareness when dealing with chicas. Utilize all avenues available to you from online to day game etc. Be content that certain girls will be more difficult to game and require more time. Which, you may not have a lot of time to do so. So use your time wisely. Have fun and be safe.
I hate to say it. I just hope we are not poisoning Colombia. I would hate it if we are also responsible for making Colombia like the west. I think somewhat we are partially guilty. If you date them, let them keep their culture. Even if you're not religious. Let them keep their faith. Why? Because the moment we bring in our culture they will start to lose theirs. Don't be pissies. Be more macho like some of their guys. I hope the gist is getting through.
Most the girls I talk to are always busy doing this shit all the time, I see the pictures and I'd be bored to death.

Pointy elbows aside (chick on the extreme left appears to have the Latina hairy arm thing going on), I'd crush every one of them. Doesn't appear to be a cunty/resting bitch face/overly tattooed/Miss Piggy/entitled porker in the bunch.
Edit: I would probably go hard (as in actually put in a solid effort to game) after the one on the far right. My "whiteness" would most likely give me leverage so dealing with her on an ongoing basis would serve me better. In addition, she looks slightly more introverted than the rest of the more attention-whorey types in the photo. Girls who trend more shy tend to be less annoying for me to deal with. Plus she has long hair. Having to give women in D.C. shit for having short hair gets old after awhile.

It seems to be very cheap compared to say student visa(1.2mil/month at EAFIT + 40 hours of time / month).
You can get your letter with EAFIT for 12 months, do a month then go on a 3 month, then take another month of school, then take a break. They won't blink an eye, as long as you do some school with them and give them a little cash. I saw that when I took a course with EAFIT.
Also, for Spanish, I'd go with private tutors in coffee shops or a small local school. At EAFIT you are paying primo for a group experience surrounded by Gringos who are actually the worst language students. You can pay less and have a one on one prof, and actually help a real person to pay their bills.

How would you go about finding a private tutor in Medellin? I'd like to find someone who charges around $10 USD (give or take) per hour. Can anybody recommend one to me? I've been getting many hours of practice and improving a lot simply by going out with girls who don't speak English, but I'm hitting a plateau. I've been pretty lazy to study on my own, so I think spending money for a tutor will give me the extra push I need.
