Part of the allure for all of Colombia for me is the value I get for my dollar. Yes , there are certain things that are more expensive than my home base of Toronto, but to live a simple life, it's great. I do like to have the luxuries and to eat out etc. But it's much cheaper than Toronto. From taxis, food to booze. Colombia wins hands down. I'm off on a tangent.

For the majority of visitors to Colombia, do your best to get the girl you want. Just be socially aware of what you are seeking As for those who are living there, id say don't stress it and seek out the richer beautiful girls. If it happens great. If not, the chica from the estrato 2-3 and is happy with a few empanadas for lunch and is hot, is also a great choice.

I've seen foreigners with chicks you would think, why is he with her? Vice versa I've seen girls with foreigners and thought the same except I've suspected that there is a financial transaction going on.

Short term- guys just enjoy yourselves. Use your wit and social awareness when dealing with chicas. Utilize all avenues available to you from online to day game etc. Be content that certain girls will be more difficult to game and require more time. Which, you may not have a lot of time to do so. The traffic is awful, it takes like 5-6 hours to go some place that should take 2 hours and then sit around and do nothing. Might as well just go to the airport and fly somewhere for a couple days.

Haha guys I was being sarcastic, Those girls are really hot to me as well. Ask a local paisa and he would tell you he lives among women like that everyday and he'd say as well that they are not very special. I've three cousins in medellin who look like that. As you know from your travels, light skin is associated with being of higher class in some cultures; Latin American cultures for sure. Dark(er) skinned women, especially in that region of the world, are very cognizant of their skin tone (morena, negra, indigenous and so on) so being associated with a "blanquito" validates them in a way and you will normally get more effort (logistically, sexually and so on) than she might give someone of her own background. It seems to be very cheap compared to say student visa(1.2mil/month at EAFIT + 40 hours of time / month).
