Quick Colombiana question. Should I next these girls as I normally would in the states. I have one in mind that has been super sweet but has bailed on two dates. That's enough for me to next a girl in the states. This Colombian guy I met told me to keep pursuing her, and the flakiness is normal. Keeping to push seem like weak frame to me.

Do you know the name of the boxing gym? or the address

As for flaking you should expect it and ignore it. I frequently get out girls and bang them that have flaked on me over 10+ times here. Just dont put too much effort into pursuing the girl but keep inviting her out.

It's called Inbox. It's next to Buffalo Wild Wings.

Keep the girls who flake on the back burner. Schedule 2-3 dates a night and go out with the one who follows up with you to confirm. If she follows up to confirm she's much more likely to show.

True, but even then... it's still a crapshoot with Paisas. If she says, "I'm almost there," it means she just now called the taxi. If she says, "I'm getting into the taxi now," that really means she's not even in the shower yet.

Maybe it was just me but I never encountered any kind of difficulties or flakes during my 4 weeks trip to Colombia, 2 weeks in Bogota and the other 2 weeks in Medellin. I met all the ladies through CC and out the 95% of the these 13 women i sealed the deal the first night.

There was just one 40 year old MILF that I had to put it a lot of work to get with, but definitely worth it.

And all these 30-40 year olds looking 10 years younger, when speaking of Paisas, which is truly incredible but they seem to have no problem going out with a 23 year old.

I am sure but i was going out with 30-40s year old women, many of them actually the stereotypical MILF, I wouldn't say my physique is something attractive but I guess my blue eyes help a lot and charm.

CC being ColombianCupid(.com), a site for "dating", which contains a lot of nice women but of course, many lesser nice ones.

But I got very lucky and found many 7+ on there.

Not sure if this has been covered already but does anyone have experience dealing with the wealth tax in Colombia.

http://ryangoesabroad.com/hold-everythin...ing-about/

"Basically, it considers ‘tax residency’ as anyone who is in the country for more than 183 out of any 365 days, by physical presence. It does not exempt any types of visa.

I’ll say that again in case you missed it- the law does not exempt any special type of visa. If you are physically present in the country over the 183 day limit, you are taxed on your WORLDWIDE income, regardless of why you were there. You must report income from all your sources, fill out bunches of forms, and sign over portions of your wealth that may have had absolutely nothing to do with Colombia.

This last tax is one that I know the least about. But basically here’s how it works…

If you have too much money, the Colombian government isn’t really happy about that. They will simply take a percentage of your net wealth every year. And if your business has too many assets, the Colombian government isn’t really happy about it either."

From my understanding, if you pay more taxes in your home country than you would have paid in Colombia then you don't owe any taxes. Regardless, I don't think they have any way to determine your worldwide income. With that said, their tax laws are pretty unfriendly to expats compared to many countries.

Tonight was quite funny in Medellín. I fucked one of my girl tonight and called an uber at 1 am.
And it's a girl who is driving which is pretty rare.

Anyway I kiss goodbye my girl in front of the uber. I get in and see a nice 24yo paisa Smile.
Talked with her for 10min the time to arrive home, asked for her number to grab a beer tomorrow, then to come closer and went for the kiss.

Hope I can get the bang tomorrow (she knows I'm leaving Wednesday for Mexico).

Having a good Spanish really makes a difference guys !

RE: The Colombia Master Thread
Stakes is High I spent 6 weeks traveling around Colombia. While I really liked Colombian women, Colombians have poor work ethic (they tend to have or want a job but try getting them to actually do their job properly) and horrendous customer service skills as well as stifling bureaucracy in their system. As for English speaking ability, in Bogota and San Andreas (the island) a decent number of young people speak some English. In the other cities in Colombia almost nobody speaks English.

I would advise against doing business in Colombia. There is a lot of bureaucratic bullshit, and the workforce is generally lazy and incompetent and argumentative. Do you ever see a Colombian apologize and accept blame when you have a bad experience/product? No, they will try and argue with you.

An example of typical Colombian customer service:

In the city of Cali I went to a McDonalds (because it was around midnight on a weekday and nothing else was open) and I order a meal (burger + fries + coke). There are hardly any customers and 5 or 6 employees but the employees are all super slow and lazy so it takes 10 minutes for my food to get ready. The food by the way is the same price as McDonalds in Australia. My fries are luke-warm instead of hot. I go back to the counter and tell them in Spanish that my fries are cold and I want them exchanged for hot fries. The retarded girl at the counter argues with me for 2 minutes telling me the fries are hot (while I keep telling her they are cold). Finally I give up (its midnight and I don't have the energy to get the manager and yell at him) and go back to my table to eat my luke-warm fries.

I have plenty of other stories, but the point is if a large international corporation like McDonalds can't even train/get their employees to give good customer service because the employees are too retarded what hope do you have of succeeding?

Customer service doesn't exist as a cultural concept in Colombia. You need to be in a place like the Philippines. Filipinos are polite, friendly, speak English well and are really good at call centre work and customer service in general.

If I would next every flaky girl in Medellin I would lose half of my bangs. Nexting, blocking on WhatsApp and other emotional decisions are very reactionary and thus beta.

Just plan 2 girl for the same time and one might turn up. If she flakes act as if you did not notice.

RE: The Colombia Master Thread
Also despite the media hype about foreign investment in Colombia, the Colombian government is retarded and does not treat foreigners very well. Aside from the wealth tax on foreigners mentioned previously here are some other examples:

For example when you come into Colombia they won't let you enter the country unless you have one night booked in a hostel or hotel or otherwise have a place to stay. Fair enough, but for example when you go to the island of San Andreas even from another city in Colombia they won't let you in the island without you having booked accommodation first. Also they make you pay a tax just to enter the island. They also don't tell before hand (at least in my case) that you that you have to have the tax receipt to show when you leave the island (lucky I did not throw out the receipt).

For example when you enter the national park Parque Tayrona foreigners have to pay a much higher entry tax then Colombians. Sometimes when you pay for a hostel room the hostel asks you so many questions apart from your name and requesting to see your Passport they sometimes (not always just sometimes) ask questions (they say because the government wants them to keep this information) like how long you are in Colombia for? When you are leaving? What country are going to next? Why you are here? What is your occupation? What cities you have been to, etc. Not to mention they gave me a harder time in the airport in Colombia with their 20 questions and other nonsense than even the much feared U.S.A. The Colombian government is a retarded joke of a nanny state.

Colombia has some good things going for it. For example amazing islands and wildlife, Colombian soups, friendly locals in some cities (e.g. San Gil, Bogota, etc), Colombian women, etc. Colombia also has its fair share of problems: lazy and incompetent workforce, stifling bureaucracy, backwardness, dickhead unfriendly locals in certain cities (e.g. Cartagena, Medellin, Santa Marta)

Gents,

Any ideas where to stay in Medellin ??? I will travel alone, so want to start off a few weeks in hostel and get things moving. I speak no Spanish (trying to learn) and would need my own room (can't do dorms). I have been before back in 09, so that was a longtime ago. The hostel i stayed at is long gone.

any suggestions ??

Sometimes, yes they might be beta. Sometimes, though, you have to step up and have some dignity. If one has that 'abudance' mentality it is much preached on the forum, then nexting a flaky girl should not be a big deal. Now, I lay emphasis on the fact that these colombian girls behave 200% differently with foreigners than they do with locals. And, if they flake not twice but a third time with a guy with so much higher SMV compared to the locals, then that's not a good sign. Cheers.

While you are both right, the point he's trying to make (and the only thing that works to keep you sane with these women) is to put yourself out there and have enough going that when a girl flakes on you it actually does not bother you one bit because you're going out with another girl at the same time. True abundance mentality and not just pretending to have it to save face and not "look beta" with the girls. If you put yourself into a position to let it bother you then you will go crazy there.
