I purposely asked this because I notice in real life how a lot of men who need the red pill the most are those who grew up into adulthood, without father figures in their lives. I know that best: the old adage, "it takes one to know one" definitely applies to me, as I did grow up without a father figure into adulthood, to the point even my own female relatives regret shit testing me in the past, as their wallets take the brunt of such punishment all the while they hit the wall very harshly.

With the previous paragraph typed, I intend to do the following:

--roll call
--effects of single motherhood that via this website, helps you mitigate such damages
--et al.

Eh, my parents divorced when I was 13, I just had some growing up to do when I was in my mid 20s. You have to figure things out on your own, learn some hard lessons is all.

I would imagine most people here have, age wise.

Parents divorced when I was 2. I have no memory of when they were together.

Seeing the ugly side of life at a young age definitely has its long-term advantages.

Moved around a lot as a kid, which turned out to be a huge advantage because I started to realize how narrow minded most people are. Before I knew about social circle game or whatever, it was obvious to me most people hang around the same town/area they grew up in. It's why I have such a curiosity about travel and women in different places.
Kids who grew up in a stable home often never learned to think of different points of view. They were comfortable and safe, so they never learned to handle adversity.

Given how shitty the world will become soon, being agile and independent in youth will turn into a huge advantage. That's why millennials are so retardedly naïve, they were too comfortable in youth.

You can either learn the harsh lessons at a young age, and use it as wisdom to improve yourself, or you can be like most naïve young people where the 80s-90s were great, but the rest of their lives will be complete shit and they'll have no way out. Either way the lesson will be taught, though.

Parents divorced when I was 11.

I had to learn some things on my own but also starting out with a blank slate might have helped me in some ways too.

Yes, I grew up as an only child with a single mother. Dad passed away when I was 9. He was a man in the truest sense though, and even by that age I could perceive this. I still remember how I felt when he was around in comparison to how I felt when I was just around my mom. I knew I could not pull any cry baby shit around him or act like a punk bitch.

I continued to learn more about him and am fucking proud of what I have learned. Self made man who built himself up from nothing as a commercial fisherman, enough to secure a comfortable life for my mom and me even after he passed and to put me through college on top of it.

I am 25 and by the time he was my age he was an Army Captain and had served two 12 month combat tours in the Vietnam War where he saw hand-to-hand combat. Volunteered for the second tour because he did not want to leave his men back in the shit.

I have always measured myself up to his shadow. Sometimes it makes me feel small and frivolous.

growing up fatherless
I grew up as an only child with a single mother, but I never met my father. My mother and he met at work, she got pregnant, he didn't want to commit and that was it. Result - I grew up to become a shy, frustrated omega who hated himself and had no sense of direction in life. Somehow I began to come out of my shell in my 20s, and boy, did I have a lot of work to do. Repairing the psychological damage my fatherless upbringing inflicted on me wasn't easy, and there's still work to be done.

My father passed away seven years ago. I've come to accept life as it is so I don't hold a grudge against him. In fact, I'm even grateful for inheriting a lot of his stubborn character, which I believe helped me to resist the collective brainwashing by our blue-pill society.

The best thing about all this - if I had the opportunity to choose, I don't know if I would have chosen another path. If I hadn't reached bottom, maybe I would never have embarked onto this journey of self-improvement (that still lasts) and became who I am now.

No dad. Working mom that relied on WWII vet captn Gramps to make most any life decisions. He basically raised me till 13 or so too. except as a grandpa he spoiled much more than if I was his son.

I did as well.

When I was a child, my parents were constantly arguing with each other, which scarred my mind at early age. They divorced when I was 10, thank God. However, that divorce was very messy and harmed me even more. As a result, I was shy during most of my childhood, and I did not approach girls.

Luckily, due all of this (and other factors,of course), I was receptive to the red pill, and eventually, neomasculinity.

Unfortunately, the only drawback I still face up is that I absolutely do not want any LTR or kids. New pootang is not a problem. Fixing that drawback is still by biggest battle I have yet to face in my life.

Nope, chose my dad and lived with him after parents divorced. Best decision I ever made as a kid.
