Then the superior / god complex of Germans to be the smartest and most productive people in the world. Mix it with the inferior complexes that Germans have as well, that nobody likes them, understands them or love them and you get the OP.

I feel sorry for you young guys because there was no internet when I was 21, and thank fuck for that because I would have made a cock out of myself if there was. I managed to anyway without any internet, but that's part of growing up and learning to get more out of life. You don't fully realise it yet, but this is a unique place in many ways. Whatever your level of engagement there is so much value here.

Thinking you are exceptional can be a huge disability. In day to day human life there is no room or use for the exceptional, God loves ugly and average, because he creates so much of it. When I stopped thinking I was special was when I became productive and made progress in my life. It also coincided with when I realised that ultimately no one outside of your family cares about you or even gives a shit about what you do, so long as it doesn't harm them. That is not a restrictive parameter to live within.

@Parzival, your description of typical German sounds like my younger self, but without the inferior complex(overcame a superiority complex, thanks ). Combined with being somewhat introverted, it took me years to learn how to interact in the day to day world, and it was a feeling of release to not be bogged down with detail focus and instead focus on goal/objective accomplishment and at the same time be in command of my immediate social environment.
