Hello,
On the 6th for February 2016 I went to the ROK-Meetup in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, even though I knew it was cancelled. I just hoped to find at least one other dude of the Forum or a ROK Reader, who I could share my thoughts with and build a valuable Connection.
I arrived 20 minutes early near the Dome to be able to scope out the area. I was well dressed and pretty excited to meet some like minded men. After checking out the closer area, I noticed some dude in his early twenties, Standing on the other side of the road. He was looking at me strangely. I thought that he might be one of the Forum guys, but didn't engage him, because it wasn't already the proper time for the meetup. THANK GOD I didn't ask him the pass Phrase (which I wasn't planning on using anyways since it's known to every SJW under the sun by now.)
Anyway, 5 minutes Prior the time, I walked towards the exact Meeting Spot and heard some strange noise already from around the Corner. I thought, it had to be some People celebrating carneval, because it's generally huge in Germany and on the streets of Frankfurt were a lot of disguised People, celebrating.
I was wrong. As I got around the Corner I could clearly see and hear some ugly-ass Girl, shouting some gibberish into a bullhorn. Something like 50-60 people had gathered around her. It struck me so hard, I couldn't believe it. Here? In Germany? Already? I make my way closer to the crowd and casually asked some Girl with died hair what this was all about. I tried to sound as innocent as possible, lol.
"Oh, some rape culture pro rape activist Group was supposed to have some sort of meetup here. They wanted to go on a raping spree, you know?"
I tried to Keep a straight face and even to sound shocked as I replied:"Wait, what? Who? How? OMG THese assholes!"
As I scanned the crowd, to maybe make out some supposedly Forum member, I got approached by some tiny guy with glasses, who handed out leaflets to everybody. I tried to act interested and instantly needed to take my eyes of the paper, since it was close to laughing histerically, because I couldn't believe it. I have translated the said paper to the best of my ability and hope you guys will have a good laugh from this as well.
Anyway, as I kept on scanning the crowd, I finally noticed the guy from before, who I assumed to be a potential ROK Reader. He looked pretty alpha and was well in shape. I approached him and asked him: " Hey man, what do you think of this Demonstration?" He turned to me and replied: " Ist against men who wanted to gather here and rape women in Frankfurt." Oh shit! From his vocal tone I could sense that he was actually believing this shit. He kept looking at me strangely and asked me: " Why are you here anyway, if you don't mind me asking."
I told him I just heard the noise form around the Corner and wanted to check what this was all about. He wasn't satisfied and told me that he had already seen me, scoping out the area before and that I had behaved "Suspiciously". When he asked me:"Are you one of those pro-rape guys?", I noticed how many people kept looking at me with suspicion in their eyes. They clearly figured, that I was way to well-dressed, to be part of this protest. Most of them wore hoodies or some other shit.
Damn it, I've been caught, I thought, but tried to remain calm.
I told myself, that I was just a regular guys, well dressed, because it was weekend and he was heading for a Party and that's what I told the guy. He seemed to be satisfied with that and after all nobody could proof me wrong, lol.
After that I disappeared as fast as possible. The reason, why I post this now, is because my account wasn't activated until a couple of days, due to the "emergency state." I am still curious, if anyone of the forum also snuck around the crowd and we just failed to see each other.
No means No! Page 1 translation:
Antisexism has to be applied: the consent concept.
... defines the vuluntary and explicitely consent of all parties, when engaging in any specific sexual act. The perception of a sexual act is very subjective, therefore: it's better to ask too plenty, than too less. A boundary crossing can already happen, when touched lightly, therefore you should ask for permission even when you are hugging or kissing a person.
encroaching behaviour, violating boundaries and sexual violence can trigger traumas in every victim. Therefore it's important to communicate with the partner in EVERY sexual act. By communication, YOU can figure out, how far your partner is willing to go and can prevent potential boundary crossings.
Consent means to ask each time again if it's comfortable for the other person if you kiss/hug/or pet her back. "LOL".
Only you are in a relationship with a person, even if you make out regulary, doesn't mean, that you get to own the persons body. Other forms of commincation, like mimic or gestures, are also possible, but should discussed in the beginning. In this way, you have a low possibility of misunderstandings. Body language/non-verbal reactions DON'T mean consent!
If the consent is no longer given, or taken back, IT MEANS NO/FINNISHED/END. ATTENTION: Remaining silent is no consent!
A sleeping person can never give consent.
Watch out for your and other peoples boundaries, always try to gauge the situation and if you're not sure about the persons accountability, ask! Accountability isn't merely influenced by drugs, but also by emotional and physical conditions. A person, who is dizzy from alcohol, can possibly not give her consent anymore. If you have an STD, inform your partner and decide together how you wanna handle the situation. Communicate if and how you want to apply birthcontrol.
Consent CAN NOT be given though repeatedly asking or threatening a person for sex.
Consent can and wants to enrich, your knowledge of the other persons current state of mind, while you are touching or kissing her. Consent is a positive access to sex and everything similar. Instead of doing your thing and suddenly hearing a NO!, you should ask when proceeding each little step, if the person feels still comfortable. By doing this, you can figure out, whether or not the person still likes to be near you.
Consent is there for everyone. It doesn't matter if you're women, man, homo, hetero, bi or trans. What ever form of gender and sexuality you might have, consent provides a practical and exciting way of handling our sexuality.
The concept of consent has a respectful and dignified behaviour at its core. It wants to be an instruction for sex and a prevention against sexual assaults. Of course, there are other ways to handle the communication between man and women. However all should share the principle of respectful behaviour without violating any boundaries. It's up to you, whether or not you want to apply the principle of consent, or whether you have another principle.
Page two: Stopping PUAs, Against sexual violence - everywhere!
This leaflet is handed out because of the planned worldwide meetups (also here in Frankfurt), of the so called Pick-Up-Artists on the 6th of February, 2016. (The following text is an extraction of the Hamburg's "Take back the night movement." and was not specifically written for today. Thanks to the writers.)
"PickUp is a term for a huge sub-culture, which is using pseudo-scientific methods. This method is following after a fixed pattern of steps. - CommentBySudo: Mystery method? Shit they are up to date, lol. - In the beginning, the men gauge the attractiveness of a woman on a scale of 1-10. After that, methods like the "push and pull" are applied, which rotates being very near a girl with pulling back of the girl. These methods are meant to make the woman distrust her own emotions. This is supposed to urge her into a weaker and more dependent position. Seminars and books on the topic refer to a so called neuro linguistic programming method. It claims to control the other person via vocal tonality and body language. [...]
PUAs organize themselves worldwide via social networks. There are countless PUA-sites. For example, the German Pick-Up-forum has more than 100.000 members. In the forums, they exchange success stories and techniques. PUAs see women as trophies and objects. The major goal is to be superior and dominate the women. These are all traits, which are linked with manliness by society. Attempts of manipulation of the PUAs are emotional violence, but the border to physical violence is sometimes crossed.
This extremely sexist and heterosexual subculture is the result of the patriarchy, which degrades women to objects. PUAs are only merely the tip of the iceberg of an omnipresent RAPE CULTURE.
Definition Hetero-Sexism: Even if there are countless forms of relationships, desires and love. Hetero-sexism claims that 1 cis-male + 1 cis-female = love = normal. This means that all forms of love, which differ from this narrative are cast out, discriminated and made invisible.
We know that our remarks majorly focus on sexism and exclude many forms of power relations, even though they are all ingredients of "Rape Culture".
What is Rape Culture anyway?
Rape culture is basically all social relations which empower, normalize and further sexual violence. Rape Culture is fixed in the everyday life and influences our perception and action. Root cause of the rape culture is the allocation in exactly 2 different genders: Meaning in allegedly strong active cis-men and allegedly weak, passive cis-women, who solely desire one another. The involvement and repercussions of rape culture in the everyday life can be measured in 5 different topics. [...]
Definition: Sexual Violence:
Sexual violence are all acts which are commited in without consent and/or to abuse a person. The aim of sexual violence is to surpress, control and to demonstrate or maintain power.
Definition cis-Men, cis-Women: You are cis, if you can identify yourself with the gender, which was given to you when you were born. You are also cis, if you were never forced to expose yourself with your own gender identity, because someone else saw you different than your self image. We use this cis-term in order to make the otherwise unnamed norm visible.
