The amount of debt that many people have today is just insane. I see a lot of people that look like they're doing well and even drive very nice cars, but don't have a dollar in the bank if an emergency were to arise. I recall a few months back hearing a news story that said that the number of people, if hit by a personal emergency, couldn't even come up with a $1000 to get out of a financial bind. Always, always save money and have it set aside just in case.
