I'd suggest you pick the book "Class" by Paul Fussell.

It's from the 1980's but he talks about the difference between people of different socioeconomic strata.

In it he talks about how the mega-rich(i.e. Zuckerberg) tend to dress in nondescript clothing while middle-class people will try to dress well(suits, etc) to make people think they are of a higher class than they are. The rich know they are so they don't need to signal their status to their social inferiors.

The Zuckerbergs of the world don't need suits: Fuck he could buy my tailor's shop and contract him to make ugly periwinkle-colored t-shirts for the rest of his life.

Zuck's image is being a figure nerds can look up to. That image doesn't work if he hits the gym and dresses better. Jobs wore jeans and a basic black turtleneck for 20 years. Ted Turner usually wears jeans and a basic button down. Chris Sacca dresses like a gay cowboy.

It's all about image. Trump is trying to foster a different public persona than a tech nerd like Zuck.

And, believe me, Ted has banged more dime pieces than Trump ever will.
