In Britain there is a law so that if someone sues someone and the prosecutor loses the case, they have to pay all the other side's legal fees. The millionaire newspaper will choose the most expensive lawyers to threaten him from suing. If he sues the newspaper and loses, he can end up in debt and have all his possessions taken by bailiffs. You can't claim bankruptcy for legal fees or money you owe the government. Is it even feasible for him to sue, given the financial risk?

Does he even have much of a case? The 16 year old girl was of legal age (which I believe the newspaper mentioned in the blurry photo) and the newspaper can claim that they never knew How To Stop Rape was satire.

That can all happen regardless of what you do here, not suing for damages about the current article won't somehow make them take it easy on you the next time around. In fact, if the writers saw how they got away with smearing you once, they may just completely fabricate something about you then next time around.

There are criminal and civil courts.

Lying about someone is not a crime, because it is protected as free-speech. So it does not go to criminal court.

In civil courts, you sue FOR DAMAGES. There must be damage to your income or person. Reputation, as slander, definitely counts.

The problem here, is unless NN has lost his 6-figure job, what exactly is he suing for? If anything his book sales will go up and he is going to make more money. You cannot sue for making more money because there are no damages. Same thing goes for Roosh.

The press KNOWS they cannot be sued in most cases of slander, which is why they do it!

Conversely, if you ran a business of being wholesome (like a Christian business), rape-slander would cost you $$$ and you could easily sue for huge cash.

But in order to sue, DAMAGES NEED TO BE IDENTIFIED. So if people want to stop the rape-slander, we need to identify damages incurred if we want to bring successful suits. I personally cannot see any.

I was sued for a million dollars and lost on the basis that she "might" get worse later (girl was injured in a car accident and was in bad shape for a few weeks but made a full recovery. Come court time and they said that "maybe" she could relapse)

The damage to you is done. The best you can do at this point is make sure the journalist learns his lesson and doesn't pull this shit again on some other guy.

Set up a Go Fund me account. Say it is for "reputation defense/legal" or whatever, just make sure it doesn't violate their terms of use. Use the money to hire a private detective and/or hacker and dig up some dirt on the journalist. Does he cheat on taxes? Is he married and cheating? Does he get sucked off by a tranny a couple times a month? Do coke on the weekends? View twisted fetish or underage pornography?

There is always something. Find it, and expose/publish it in the way that is most harmful to the journalist.
