I have a friend that grew up there. He said that when you're younger they pressure you to smoke hash and people there smoke it like cigarettes. He also told me for foreigners it's very safe and that the police are harsh on moroccans but give foreigners a pass unless they are doing anything extreme (can anyone confirm this?). I will be heading there probably some time in november.

I grew up in Morocco, concerning pressure I'd say it's like any other country when you are a teenager. The police is not harsh, as long as you bribe them. You are at a disadvantage if you are a foreigner though the bribe will be at a premium since you are occidental so you must have money... Also when bribing them don't wave money on them as soon as they come up to you, talk to them first. They will ask for more money, tell them that's all you have.

I'd advise any foreigner visiting Morocco planning to smoke hash to always keep 300 dhs cash hidden in his ass in case there is a problem, if you can smoke with locals it's safer.

I've read the post and wanted to share my experience with you.
I've been to Marrakech twice in the last 2 years. My first visit was in January 2017. I went there with 2 friends who go to Marrakech regularly. We bought our booze from the airport which worked out quite cheap. We stayed in a riad which I booked in advance. The riad had a perfect location, between the airport and Hivernage. 3 bedrooms, a large living room and a swimming pool. I stayed in the same riad on my second visit which I raised 2 Moroccan flags ?? ??
I had to follow my friends on my first visit. It was a good experience but could have been better. I just didn't want to be a dickhead. Instead of trying to find some free pussy we chose to go for paid sex. We stayed 4 days and I had 5 different girls which cost me £400 (5000 DHS) in total.
We went to Club Teatro on a Saturday night. We tried to make a reservation during the day but their phone number wasn't working. So we went to the club earlier and get a table. The club was packed. There were a lot of prostitutes around. Their prices were quite high compared to the girls who you can easily find in Mcdonalds, Starbucks on Avenue Mohamed V, cafes in Jema Al Fna Square etc.

My second visit to Marrakech was on February 2018.
I've been to quite a few countries but my last visit to Marrakech was the best. This time I was on my own and I didn't make the same mistakes which I did on my first time in Marrakech.
I used Badoo and Instagram actively and it worked like a charm. I met around 10 different girls and chose the best 3 of them.

I went home and started to drink. I was ready to go out to spend my last night in a good shisha lounge and try to find a girl to fuck for the night. My phone rang. She was calling me. She said she can be at mine in 45 minutes which she came 45 mins later with her flatmate. I wasn't really happy with it but I had no choice. I didn't give her my open address because you should never trust. They came somewhere close to the International Clinique of Marrakech.
I picked them up and started to walk in front of them. I opened the door and waited for them about 30 seconds but they didn't come in. I had a look outside and they were talking to a police officer right next to the door. Malak was crying and the other girl was saying something in Arabic. Then the officer started to talk to me. He said what we're doing is illegal and he has to take me and the girls to police station. I suddenly remembered my trip to Azerbaijan which I had a similar sort of problem and I sorted it out by bribing the Azerbaijani police officer. I said to him what would make you close your eyes and keep walking? He simply asked for 2000 DHS which is about £160. We negotiated and he was fine with 750 DHS. We were finally in the riad with the girls.
The flatmate was an average Moroccan girl who didn't speak English at all. But she was quite at all times. She didn't smoke, she didn't drink. She sat down quietly whole night.
We had a few drinks with Malak and the conversation was finally about sex. She made it pretty clear that she was a virgin and she's not up for sex. It was a disappointment for me after all.

I'm going back to Marrakech later this year or end of January as usual. If any of you guys want to join and raise some Moroccan Flag you're more than welcome ?

I went to Marrocco twoce . I Didn't like it . very conservative , and quality of girls sucks. Only available country in North Africa is Tunisia for game , way more beautiful girls than marroco and way less conservative + it is cheaper. ( and I also Egypt for tourism not for game )

Morocco is a great country to game for western men however it’s hard to filter between different type of prostitutes during night game. You can meet cheap ones or expensive ones start asking 300$ for a night. On first sight they look normal but after you decide to pull the trigger they end up being hookers. Tinder is your friend however i would recommend to start chatting with them 1 month before you arrive. If anyone want to game in Marrakech i might visit it later this year. Just arrived from Marrakesh yesterday. I must say I thought I was prepared for it since I´m colombian but it was an overall negative experience.

99% of morroccans are scammers. They´ll try to rip you off even with the smallest things. For example, they tried to sell me a 2 euro tea for EIGHTY euros; they must think I´m retarded.

If random people in the street tell you "that street is closed" or "you can´t go there, it is only for muslims" don´t listen to them. Either they are trying to get money out of you or mug you. Don´t take pictures of the snakes/monkeys/etc in the main plazas. The owners will ask you for unholy amounts of money.

One day a skinny morroccan tried to rob me. Thankfully I went there with a friend and I had to get a little rough with him.

Always bargain, specially in cabs. Look out for places where muslim people go and shop. Don´t wear shorts, even if the weather is nice, you will become more of a target for scammers.

The camel ride was nice. Also drinking mint tea and eating couscous was pretty good.

I did not see a single 9-10 in my entire stay there. Morroccan woman are not hot at all and the morroccan tinder had only 4-5s.

I felt unsafe most of the trip, and again, I´m from Colombia.


I would 100% rather go to Colombia than going to Morrocco. one more week there and i wouldve killed myself.

I had the same experience in Marrakesh, I also live in Colombia and while the majority of scammers are in Bogota I experienced more scamming attempts in one weekend while in Marrakesh than a month in Bogota. However all of the other cities I went to in Morocco were not bad aside from people trying to sell me hash 100x a day in Chefchaouen.

Pretty important to specify the year. The country/places have gone downhill since the revolution and it is getting worse every year. I see your thread from 2012. Let me tell you that the place has become way cheaper (like 50-60% discounts!). Yay. But pretty much everything is breaking in the country and nothing works. Nightlife is pretty much dead apart from very few venues. If you check hammamet and sousse now you'll be crying.
