As I have said before on this forum and ROK, I came late in life to the world of the red pill and though I still have a long way to go, I'm getting better.

This morning I'm driving and I turn on the radio to catch some tunes and I get Sixpence None The Richer's 1998 hit, Kiss Me.

Now I've always loved that song. Catchy tune, pretty imagery, sultry voice, but I've been reading ROK and this forum and suddenly it hits me like a rock.

The singer is only singing about what she wants from her beloved. Never once does she say, "This is what I want to do for you."

I start flipping the stations and listening to the music and this time really listening and I made a discovery that most of you already know, but was a massive Ah-Ha! revelation for me.

I would estimate 98% of the female singers had the theme, "This is what I want from you." The same percentage of men had the theme, "This is what I am willing to give or sacrifice for you."

No wonder the neo-masculinity movement has such an uphill climb. Men and women have been brainwashed since the first pop song came over the radio that men can only give and women are only takers. Of course, some may legitimately argue that pop music only reveals the culture's zeitgeist and does not create it. (By the bye, I'm not including rap in this discussion which is in a world all by itself.)

We need some red pill male singers out there. Anybody have any suggestions?

The ego of woman seeking to serve herself: "Ich will" is common in pop music as a theme appealing to women.

Limp Bizkit - More listenable relevant to the time period of 1999-2001. "Nookie" and "My Way" are a couple examples.
Kid Rock - Blurs the line of Hip-Hop/Rock/Country. "American Badass", "Bawitdaba"

Rap music as a whole is a good start, as you mentioned it is in a world all by itself. I've referenced Juicy J in the Rap thread. Mad Child - "Dickhead" is a good one about frame.

Both song and singer are older than others mentioned on this thread, but I realized recently how this song can be interpreted as a man telling a woman that she's hit the wall, and that her fun must now come to an end.

That's why I listen to oldies. My music interest is 95% pre-1980, and is less than 1% after 1990.

Plus the fact that before all the technology got involved there was real talent on the records.

In fact an even easier test, if it can't play on this:



I probably don't want to hear it. BTW that's the exact model I bought except I have a different tonearm and cartridge. But I do play 78s on it.

Good stuff. What's the brand? I want to look into different brands of record players because I'm starting to get a little fed up with Crosley. I'm on my third one in five years, and even with repairs they just don't last very long.

But I digress. Another rather red pill song by Nat King Cole. Describes basically every carousel-riding career woman who ever lived.

I don't think decent turntables are made anymore (at least not for anything close to cheap), although I do hear the project carbons are nice. Give me an S tonearm though, that straight stuff is whack.

The SP-15 with base and tonearm was $300 and that was through local sources, they fetch almost $1k on eBay. When you get into these kind of setups, the model number of the turntable is just part of the picture, SP-15 is just the record turning piece. The base is a Technics SH-15B3 (called a plinth):

I used to think those Numark 1600s were decent, but this blows them away. Crosleys are record chewers.

I suspect the old song Love and Marriage, the title theme of Married with Children, was a stealthy way of getting fucking past the censors. Frank Sinatra sang it, which always struck me as odd given his other songs always had a little bit of an edge to them.





Have a look over the lyrics:

Just replace the word love with sex. Substitute 'fucks' for more hilarity. Now see what sort of a song you've got - especially given those lyrics, "Try, try, try and you will only come .... to this conclusion." And consider the final lyric: "Dad was told by mother you can't have one without the other." i.e. You can't fuck me until you've married me!
