I've ran into this in the past but I don't know how to approach it without sounding mean. How do you handle this??

What's your relationship to the girl? If she is just some girl, don't even bother telling her.

The way I did it:

If she's a plate, just tell her. She'll know what the deal is and she can be replaced anytime. Don't be afraid to lose a plate.

LTR: also just tell her. "Babe, did you gain some weight?" She wont like it but (women wont ever like shit like that, their problem, not yours) but she will do something about it. That is, if she respects you and is afraid she might lose you.

Also don't make a too big of a deal out of it when you confront her. Don't have a too serious facial expression because that'll trigger more a more defensieve reaction. Say it with somekind of a grin, like you're making fun of her in a 'loving' way. You want her to be aware you notice her weight gain and aren't thrilled about it, but you don't want some 'attack-defend' situation.

Be mean.

Being upset, depressed and offended will be the only thing that makes her motivated to lose weight.
The emotional pain will sting and stay with her until she does something about it.

I did this with a girl I knew, who used to be hot, but got fat.

She slept with me after she lost her all her excess weight and looked hot again, cause I was the only man with the courage to say to her face she looked ugly being fat.

To which you can respond, "I always will, but if you get fat I'll lose sexual attraction and that takes place on the physical level and is a major component in a relationship. If you get fat then I'll love you as a friend and have to find someone else to have sex with"

Take her shopping at a place with a lot of mirrors. The sizing on the clothes and her looks in the mirror will say more than you ever could.

She will inevitably ask "Did I get fat/gain weight."

All you have to do is say yes.

Now, not to derail this thread, but I'm curious about the analysis of this one by you guys. In my opinion, that bitch is one hell of an example of how women talk before they even think. I just take my hand and touch the fat on their stomach.

Their response is "I know I'm fat" or "Shutup" while laughing.

Either way they'll take it to their heads, whether they act on it is another matter but they will think it's their idea and that's key.

I also like the mirrors idea.

You gotta learn to call it like it is without going overboard. The worst thing you can do is answer 100% direct or in any way take her question seriously. Don't debate. Guide the conversational ship and steer away from unfriendly waters.

A girl who knows she can get away with gaining weight will do just that. And soon you'll be the guy with a land beast on his arm. So don't be that ineffective, fat-accepting chump.

I'll throw diet and exercise into conversations subtly just to get the conversation going early on with a girl. With relationships it's even easier especially if you have regularly embraced diet and exercise and it is expressly part of your lifestyle.

Girl asks:

"Do you think I'm getting fat?" or "Do you think I'm fat?"

"Well..."
or
*silence*
or
*up and down* - and go back to what you were doing...

Would you leave me if I got fat?"

"I'd drag you to the gym with me."

Of course this is all to counter shit-testing to gauge your acceptance of bullshit and it's your only opportunity to set the bar. It sets clear behavioral expectations and keeps them in line. Some of the expectations I set are that I expect my girl to look good when we are going out. That means dressed to the nines unless we're hiking. No sweat pants, uggs, flipflops. No playing on her phone while we're out at dinner. No getting trashed at dinner parties or barbecues around family and friends. This kind of coaching and guidance doesn't come naturally to newbies. Leading women is a learned behavior, and you'll often find that young women need that steady hand to reign them in. Weight gain included. Don't be afraid to check a woman when she show's up looking like a mess. You have to call it out - not in a way that humiliates her (i.e. too direct or in front of friends/family/peers) but in a way that shows you will not tolerate anything else.

When your girl is clearly getting fat and assuming you care about her, it's time to act. Which means you force her to exercise with you. Cook healthier meals. Throw out subtle jabs when she's snacking too much. Grab whatever she's got in her hand and say, "oh wow XXX calories... 1000g of sodium? This stuff is terrible for you babe", then change the subject. Covert fat shaming works, but if you find you're ineffective it's time to move on. You can influence but you're never going to have complete control.

I'll often jokingly tell girls they are making me fat (i.e. after suggesting dessert) - and it's actually funny how some girls trying to lock you down really do that. "How about we split it instead?" I'm usually the one subconsciously estimating calories and eating lighter meals, skipping the beer, and it can be tough to stick to your guns when you are still inexperienced.

And if a girl doesn't have the drive and discipline to take care of the one asset she's supposed to... you just don't tolerate it.

Its a waste of time to analyze these shows as they are a fabricated, orchestrated event. Even if the guest wasn't acting a character to sell his book (which he is), the editing, production and off camera orchestrating of this spectacle makes it useless for any meaningful observations beyond tips for how to run a daytime tabloid gossip show.

As to the original question. In a LTR, I buy her a ring that I know will only fit her at an appropriate weight, then act hurt that she won't wear it. I've never held on to the same side piece long enough to notice appreciable weight gain, but I have seen a few of them a year or more later that ballooned out disappointingly.

I am in a ltr with a Colombian 8.

I have told her if she goes one pound over 125 she will need to pack her bags and leave.

You can do this with an ltr if your Frame is solid.

I have my scale in handy next to my bed. Most girls like to weigh themselves, but it also helps me to track their status. If I see one is getting a bit heavier (a pound or so) I tell her in a half-joking tone we should fuck harder or she should eat less.
