RE: The Canada Political Thread
The gym I work out at is quite small. There are few TVs in front of the cardio machines. Oftentimes, the channel is set to CBC News, who are in the midst of severe Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). I swear, every day they make it sound like Trump is on the verge of impeachment. The assault never stops.

Mansbridge is set to retire in a little over a month. I imagine they will do a big time re-tool of The National. Whatever they decide, I'm sure it'll be terrible.

It's a shame that CBC News and Radio One have become so dominated by special interest discussions. For all its faults, The National brings the rest of Canada into my living room each night. I haven't seen enough of this huge country (3 of 10 provinces so far, with more to come!). I enjoy the stories about life in the prairies and the maritimes. Today, it's become unwatchable. I now avoid both CBC TV and Radio news. It's disappointing, but I guess it means that I need to make an effort to visit these places on my own.

As for Scheer, I am happy that he won. Seems like a good choice. Reading his bio, he grew up here in Ottawa but went out West as a young man and got involved with the Canadian Alliance. Being back here full-time will be a homecoming of sorts for him. He only just turned 38 last week. He's on an impressive trajectory for his young age.

Under his Wikipedia page there is a section headed "Controversy" - it reads like a list of RVF-approved beefs Laugh

Quote:Scheer has promised that universities or colleges “that do not foster a culture of free speech and inquiry on campus” will not receive federal funding under his government.

Quote:Refugees: Scheer wants to prioritize helping those he considers the most vulnerable refugees, namely religious minorities like Christians in the Middle East who face death for conversion away from Islam.[32] He prefers to help refugees integrate through private sponsorship instead of government sponsorship. He contends that the refugees who are are currently struggling to find housing, jobs and language training is because of the Liberal Party "using a devastating tragedy for political purposes".[33]

Laner backs a winner again. Nicely done.

Clap

RE: The Canada Political Thread
Ontario’s Kathleen Wynne Liberals have passed what critics describe as “totalitarian” Bill 89 by a vote of 63 to 23 on the last day before Queen’s Park adjourns for the summer.

Pro-family advocates warn Bill 89 gives the state more power to seize children from families that oppose the LGBTQI and gender ideology agenda, and allows government agencies to effectively ban couples who disagree with that agenda from fostering or adopting children.

Fantastic!

I read a bit about this while having my coffee.

I wonder if these people realize that they can still govern without having to pass these fucked up laws that will likely never get undone. Paving the way to police states where citizens cannot even breathe the air without paying a tax. I fully get why people are hoping for a massive restart.

I don;t know where to start, this horrible degenerate dystopia is getting more real by the day.

This is a good time and place to post this entry from Henry Makow (while we still can), which gives you a good background on Wynne and her agenda:

https://www.henrymakow.com/2015/09/the-f...wynne.html

When Kathleen Wynne was Minister of Education, her Deputy Minister was Benjamin Levin, a pedophile now serving jail time. Yet she is imposing his "sex ed" program on Ontario children, grooming them for Levin's fellow pedophiles while claiming it is to "keep kids safe."

Gay cakes and trans bathrooms: the most important human rights issues of our times, surely.

5,000 Canadians March in Support of Trump, Against Liberal Trudeau Administration

Breitbart Wrote:A group of up to 5,000 Canadian citizens marched on Canada’s capital on Saturday in support of U.S. President Donald Trump’s conservative agenda and against the liberal agenda of their own Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau.
The marchers gathered to protest the country’s spiraling tax rate, its recent attacks on free speech, and the government’s wild over-spending, Daily Caller reported.

Event organizer Mike Waine, who called his march the “Million Deplorable March” in emulation of the name Hillary Clinton made up for Donald Trump’s supporters, said he is annoyed that PM Trudeau gets a free pass from the Canadian media.

Waine said:

Quote:Nothing was being done about this corrupt government… Trudeau stepped out-of-bounds with waving the pot leaf in front of the nose of the tokers and his nice friendly-looking smile won him the housewives. So now we’re in a situation where we have a complete moron at the helm and he’s spending more than we can afford. He’s destroying our country with carbon taxes, he’s destroying small business.

Waine praised President Trump for taking the U.S. out of the Paris climate accord and slammed the Canadian media for refusing to report accurately how badly Trudeau’s liberal policies are working.

Other marchers were protesting the impending passage of M-103, a new law that would make criticism of Islam a criminal offense in Canada.

M-103 states that the government must “condemn Islamophobia and all forms of systemic racism and religious discrimination.” It would levy criminal sentences on those who criticize Islam.

Canada’s Conservative Party generally stands against M-103. Maxime Bernier, a conservative with libertarian free market leanings, recently said he voted against the bill, tweeting: “Free speech is the most fundamental right we have. I am opposed to #m103. Canadians should be treated equally regardless of religion.”

But the self-proclaimed “feminist” Prime Minister slammed opposition to the speech code-style bill:

Tater Tot Wrote:Diversity is a source of strength, not just a source of weakness, and as I look at this beautiful room — sisters upstairs — everyone here, (I see) the diversity we have just within this mosque, within the Islamic community, within the Muslim community in Canada.

Marcher Rod Noble agreed with the conservative position saying, “We already have extensive protection for all groups and this is really special treatment and it’s part of a cookie cutter policy that is happening all across the western world…it’s part of the deliberate Islamization of the West…coordinated by George Soros and we have to stop this.”

The march began on Parliament Hill in the Canadian capital of Ottawa and will continue through Sunday afternoon, ending with a rally on Parliament Hill.

It's heartening to see that some Canadians are waking up, but I fear that Canada (especially Ontario) is too far gone. There should have been 100,000 people at that march. While normal Canadians were going about their comfortable lives the leftists were working hard getting these freaks into positions of authority.

I left Canada last year because I couldn't see any hope and I wanted to start building something elsewhere so that my kids can have a future. Canadians have become like children who vote for more ice cream and when their stomach hurts they will eat more ice cream.

The small town I lived in used to be a fairly picturesque place with a nice little downtown core. We had a men's clothing store, a lady's clothing store, a bicycle shop, a drugstore, a deli, a jewelry store, a diner, a hardware store and various other shops, all kept up and maintained. Now we have pizza shops, payday loan places, a head shop, 2 thrift stores, 2 dollar stores, and many boarded up shops. Most of the shops cater to people's most base instincts, we are a weak community. There used to be 5 or 6 vibrant busy little bars, now only a couple are left and vicious brawls break out almost every weekend.

Ontario is a province where a filthy paedophile designed our children's sex education curriculum. This sexualization of our children was applauded by smiling liberals all over the province, but especially in Toronto, the capital of degeneracy.

Ontario is a province with more natural resources than just about anywhere else on this planet, yet the citizens pay more for their electricity than anyone else in North America. Ontario Hydro is government run, and the government realizes that it can't collect enough taxes from citizens and companies to pay for it's bloated social programs and bureaucracy, so it is now in the business of selling people energy at outrageous rates.

Ontario will soon start handing out free post-secondary education to the kids who can't afford it. This will be an enormous burden to the tax-payer and will help cripple those who work and still can afford to send their kids to university. Productive people get penalized in Ontario. It wouldn't be so bad if this money was spent on useful education, but it's not. The majority of this money will go to maintaining and heating the Taj Mahals that we have as university buildings and paying professors in excess of $100g's a year to teach kids useless subjects, very little of it will go towards imparting usefull life-helping knowledge to young people.

Ontario will soon implement a $15.00 minimum wage. Good-bye call centre jobs, good-bye to half of the staff at Tim Hortons, good-bye to part time jobs for students, good-bye to mom and pop diners and businesses. This will result in higher prices for everything across the board as well as higher tax revenues for the government (initially, until businesses close).

We have a prime minister who believes that Canada has no "core identity", that we are a "post national"country. This is an insult to anyone who ever served or has a forefather who served to defend this country.

Canada is a financial ruin. It is only a matter of time before the government starts siezing people's savings or restricting them from bringing their money out of the country. Mark my words, we are only a decade or so away from that. Soon there will be real hunger in Canada. There will be food shortages.

Canadian men who are still there, start making a contingency plan if you are planning on remaining there.

RE: The Canada Political Thread
The way things are, I see why people just milk the system; its tempting to do the same.

Trudeau is right though, Canada has no core identity (anymore). In the past, it certainly did, but now its a just a giant pool of nothingness. Im saying this as an immigrant myself. You can see why there is such a large prevalence of mental disorders in people, especially leftists, as they do not/ can not identify with anything.

One thing that seperates USA from Canada is that their conservatives are actually conservatives. God, nation and the amendments are put on an altar by the numerous conservatives down there.

In Canada, these people would compromise of the small rural population, if that. Look at our conservative leaders. They are conservative in names only and most are cuckservatives.

If you dont realize the importance of God and faith, go watch Jordan Petersons biblical series. ( part 1 sucked, part 2 was really good)

I cant wait for the next federal election, just to see the crucial decision the masses take.

I am not happy about it but its probably about cooling Canadians off after the Paris bullshit. I really hope he would not leave Brad Wall swinging in the wind out west as the ONLY premier to oppose taxing our air.

Wait and see it the plan.

And pissing off a bunch of tories right now is not a bad thing, it gets them into this game instead of sitting on their hands on the bench like they have been.

I spend a lot of time with lower income early 20yos, I in a drunken state almost always bring up politics it is interesting to see the disdain for Trudeau shown by lefties my age. They all see through him. Now if only the NDP could put someone on Jack Layton's caliber.

RE: BC politics, made a good amount of $$$, namely on the back of the BC greens, We here in BC are in unprecedented territory, history shows us (1952) that any party that causes the Lt. Governor to call another election is looked poor upon. Weaver's hands were tied, most of his voter base were Liberals that simply did not like Christie. If it was still Gordo in power I doubt he would have a problem teaming up with the BC libs.

I do have to admit the BC NDP were smart in putting all their chips in the Metro Vancouver area. Pandering to votes by eliminating tolls helped them BIGLY in the suburbans of the Tri-cities and Slurrey.

Laner fear not, Sam Sulli is still your MP, he isn't Pro-Christie (they hate each other) so the riding is his for the future, even though this past election Christie's unfavorably hurt him immensely

RE: The Canada Political Thread
Yeah Clark is a hard person to stomach at this point. When women begin to fail it gives off a more toxic 'feeling' than when men fail. When men fail, its usually embarrassing and they get branded a loser. With women, its an attitude of superiority and 'not my fault' which is I think why Clark has lost so many voters.

I find it surprising how much dislike I have for the NDP and Horgan. I really want to see the NDP stomped into the dirt like they were in the late 90s. I would rather see the Greens as the new opposition party here, or even better, the Conservatives. I heard from so many people this year that they voted Green instead of Liberal, which did not surprise me.

Its frustrating watching so much American media and seeing that they might have reached peaked retard about now, and Canada is just about to begin. What the fuck do we, in 2017, still have to be one US election cycle behind the US?

Isn't the Greens' platform basically wall to wall global warming idiocy, in a country that's awash with oil?

Why is Scheer cucking for globalist carbon taxes, is he dumb enough to believe in it, or is he trying to appeal to the mainstream? Isn't Alberta still a big chunk of the party's base?

The Greens are to some extent, but they also have a platform that pushes things like credits for stay home parents as well as reduced cost day care. In this day, I call that a wash. But they want free daycare for kids under 3 as well, so its gonna be a $2 billion tax burden.

And they hate the energy sector. They want it to just go away, but they are not dumb enough to completely ban all oil. They NEED the tax money in order to fund stupid shit. What they will do is regulate the industry even more. This will be on top of the strictest regulations in the world. Essentially choke out all but the biggest players.

My thoughts on Scheer is he is trying to appeal to the mainstream as well as get all the conservatives off the bench and into the game. I think Hamish too a little out of Trumps playbook on this one. Pissing people off is necessary. No More Apathy Party on the side of the CPC.

RE: The Canada Political Thread
I advocated that the Greens would do well many times in this thread, they IMO is what is needed to destroy the NDP. Give it a few more years, there will be schism in the NDP between pro-labour and pro-enviroMENTALs. Pro-Labour will swing to Liberals (under new leader) and the others into Greens.

Once they ban Union and Corporate donations...

Who has the stronger warchest? The Greens are depleted and the NDP deep in debt, their agreement is simply because they can't afford another election the next two years. It will be interesting to see what the LG does, all it takes is one member to be sick or miss a flight and all hell breaks loose.

Also Christy's son Hamish is pro-Trump.
