^ +1 mate.

I was trolling him, he doesn't know what he is talking about.

Live overseas in another country for a bit, then you won't be complaining when you return to Canada. Trust me I did it and I am grateful for what the country has to offer.
Now if you want to talk about the women or the high cost of property in Toronto, then that is a completely different argument.

My friend who is a doctor (forum member) just texted me and said healthcare in America is "ridiculously expensive". Some people actually pay $1500 to $2000 a month in healthcare premiums.

What's with the upfront disrespect? I think I presented my opinions thoughtfully and would welcome refutation of any of the points I made. As a Canadian first and foremost, one that has lived a good 7 years outside of Canada in the U.S. and SEA, I think my opinions at least have some merit to them.

In my prior posts I already mentioned how I would prefer healthcare to be socialized, just not at a national level but at a smaller level. A balance between the U.S. system and European systems. Some people do pay a lot in healthcare premiums in the U.S. -- I never said they didn't. Likely it is related to their health conditions, work circumstances (like auto insurance the higher risk you are, the more insurance will be). In Canada, premiums across the board are all averaged to the mean and everyone pays the mean discreetly through income tax. In any country, the gross sum paid towards healthcare is equal to the sum doctors/health care practitioners and the industry gets paid. My main argument is that by socializing the cost, the system effectively is open to overuse and abuse from both the users and providers.

Social vs. private healthcare has been a long debate in North America since the 70's. Please don't just dismiss everything I mentioned altogether and say "[I don't] know what [I'm] talking about" or that you're trolling me. I'd rather you outright point out the flaws in what I said so that there at least there could be some rational discourse.

Again, I'm not completely opposed to this as I do agree with some sort of community subsidized care as stated in my previous post. Without the power of community, it is hard for just one or two patients alone to negotiate against outrageous costs of certain procedures whereas there will be some cost control if a larger paying group is collectively negotiating against it.

If it wasn't and it was just a general thought, disregard.

RE: The Canada Political Thread
Health Care is a provincial matter, they do receive money from the Feds to help pay for it. During the Chrétien years the Feds balanced the budget with the tactic of decentralizing more of the costs to the provinces. This results in a provinces budget being 35% dedicated to health care. This will only rise in the coming years.

^ Emancipator, I was skeptical that Ontario was spending that much on Healthcare. I thought Education took up a bigger chunk, but I was wrong.

Ontario's total budget (Estimated, 2016-17): 115.3 Billion
Amount for Health and Long Term Care: 51.3 Billion

Which is 44% of the entire provincial budget!

It still works out to "only" about $3,700 per person in Ontario, but DAMN that's more than I expected.

For those who want the USA type of healthcare.

This is a review of the facts from the documentary Sicko by Michael Moore.

http://www.cnn.com/2007/HEALTH/06/28/sic...newssearch

USA is ranked number 37 in the world in terms of healthcare.

Canada and France are in the top 10.

Oh well I'm SO GLAD you guys are happy with the way things are going, at the expense of everyone else!

61% of young canadian muslims are proud of their religion, versus 50% for all Canadian muslims. Well known rise in later muslim generations' extremism confirmed.

"A majority of Muslim Canadians agreed that most Muslims coming to Canada want to adopt Canadian customs and ways of life while just 17 per cent thought they want to remain distinct." => How does this comply with the higher share of muslims women covering their heads? Sounds like the want Canadian society to integrate to THEM, not the other way around.

Government unions are cancer. Socialism sucks.

Quote:Just imagine if we had some people with little to do who could help pick up that litter and take part in civic beautification programs like graffiti-removal? Oh, wait. We do!

Canada has thousands of welfare recipients and recently Syrian refugees, busy doing nothing. Why not let them earn their state-sanctioned payola? Workfare instead of welfare?

It was done in Kenora by ex-boxer Buck Matiowski who thirteen years ago founded a program enlisting vagrants, panhandlers and the homeless to clean up litter, peel posters off light standards, whitewash graffiti and collect bottles. They became known as Buck’s Brigade and helped beautify Kenora.

What’s not to love?

Well, enter the Grinch-like Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 191 who tried to stop the program by falsely claiming Matiowski was taking away union jobs. In fact, Matiowski had simply created new jobs that didn’t previously exist.

RE: The Canada Political Thread
The Canadian ambassador to Ireland, Kevin Vickers is catching some heat after man handling a protestor at the recent commemoration of the death of British soldiers at Grangegorman Military Cemetery back in 1916. Basically, a protestor approached the delegates ranting about the lives of Irish fighters lost when the Canadian ambassador sprung to action and dragged the guy away until the local authorities took control of the situation.

Apparently diplomats aren't supposed to get involved in local issues and tackling a protestor who "posed no immediate harm" was way out of line for Mr Vickers, thus creating a kerfuffle and depending on Ireland's response, a potential diplomatic row. I think that people need to cool out and remember that this guy is a veteran RCMP officer and also the one who sprung to action when a lunatic was lighting up Canada's parliament hill with a shot gun, Vickers popped a few caps in that fucker's arse and killed him on the spot.

I can't say that I'd blame the guy for taking out the protestor, from his background and experience I'd say that he handled the situation quite well but its causing uproars in the international media. I guess this is the point we've come to in our emasculated, pussy societies that a man can't take control of a potentially deadly situation without being raked over the coals for it, what a shame, he should be priased for this.

Vickers deserves a bronze statue so boys can marvel at a time when men were patriots and took thoughtless action to protect the good of the majority.

The good thing is that men like Vickers would do it all over again, every single time.

The more the media tries to push this type of pussyfooting, the more good people get slapped in the face with the cold hard reality that if something ever happens to them or their family, its men like Vickers that they would wish to be around.

And that clip of him as Sergeant of Arms holding the ceremonial mace while his eyes water is how I know he would do it again and again.

What kind of piece of shit journalist would take up an issue with Vickers pushing a protester out of a ceremony? Pathetic.

I know where Vickers is coming from in his heart, but he's not on the beat anymore and he's no longer Sgt at Arms; he should have waited for the leisurely Irish Constabulary to finish their coffee break and take the guy out of there. Decorum demands that the role of Ambassador is no longer the time to be getting your hands dirty unless in much more dire circumstances than this.

I can imagine the reporting now:
"Peaceful protester Michael Murphy, 38, is still in a coma after being brutally tackled by the Canadian ambassador and falling backwards, striking his head on a tombstone. "We just want him to come home to his cats" said his mother, Eileen Murphy."

Reason #46474 that there is really no right-wing in Canada.

'Freedom and respect': Conservatives strike marriage definition from party policy

Quote:Conservative delegates at the party's policy convention in Vancouver have voted to strike the definition of marriage in the party's official policy document.

In a 1,036-462 vote, delegates from all provinces except Saskatchewan cast majority votes in favour of no longer defining marriage as a union between one man and one woman.

This past weekend the Cons cucked around and removed the offical stance on marriage between a man and woman from the party policies and platform. Oddly there is a big LBGT block within the party that has lobbied for this, and with the Cons on life support they look for anything that they can shill for new votes.

In the past with the clear divisions between the much more right leaned Reform and more moderate PCs, the PCs would never feel the need to go that far left on that stance. They would know the liberals and NDP would peddle that stuff and they could remain in different to it and just keep it the status quo.

Personally I am sick of hearing about gay marriage- and my hopes is that the Cons are in the same mindset. Just get it out and over, and move on to something that actually matters, like rebuilding the party.

Gay marriage is a joke. But if two men or two women want to give it a spin for the tax benefits, that seems fair to me. If its for adoption though... that scares me.

RE: The Canada Political Thread
It's not a hill worth dying on. The institution of marriage was killed by divorce lawyers and judges, so there's no use fighting over it now. There is no social conservative movement in Canada now. The last remnants of one were in Alberta and that region has gone underwater both financially and politically with the oil price crash and the rise to power of the communist NDP. The only thing we can hope for from the federal Conservative Party now is fiscal conservatism. So let them yield the social issues, they're lost anyway. Kevin O'Leary seems like a good leader. He comes from a business background and, even though he was born in Quebec, he seems to have spent enough time growing up and getting his education in Ontario, as well as doing business with American companies, to qualify as an English Canadian rather than someone loyal to Quebec's nationalist interests. I don't even think he speaks French all that well, which I see as a good thing. O'Leary wants to get Canada back in the black ink. Right now that's about as much as we can hope for from the Tories. So chuck the social issues for now. Canadians give zero fucks anyway.

Harper Cuckservatives..Some of the subliminal anti-male laws were enforced under the Federal Conservatives..I couldn't even believe that Peter MacKay would call men "perverts" for spending their money on certain things...Neo-Victorian Feminists and Cuckservatives ally together in Canada.

Justin Trudeau declares he's a feminist, but how would one think his Middle Eastern buddies will react if he started to demonize men from that area? He can't really. This is why he is so silent on certain geo-political issues, while chanting 'We Should All Be Feminists because it's 2015. JT is a Prime Minister with a high school mentality and trendseeker...He's not going to demonize certain groups of men in Canada, just like how Communist NDP leader Muclair doesn't appear to do that either..

The NDP and Liberals in Canada tend to just preach feminism all the time. I haven't heard of Lesbian Premier Kathleen Wynne calling men "perverts". Heck, she even appeared fearful of implementing the Cuckservative Nordic Model law in Ontario, probably because that is how 75%+ of men born and raised in Ontario get their relief from in Ontario because of the horror stories from "teh independent womenz".

When one mixes tradcon Cuckservative with militant feminism, it creates disastrous consequences for all men.

Harper wasn't that bad, but his Cuckservative government appeared to have pandered to the neo-Victorian feminazis rather than opposing them.

What I notice that is the Ontario feminazis, the Neo-Victorian Ones, are anti-sex and anti-fun, while the Quebec feminazis, are sexually liberated and pro-sex. Harper sided with the anti-sex feminazis from Toronto, and this is why his government is a CUCK.

Quebec still has her share of feminazi's...

(Pauline Marois, former Premier of Quebec 2012-2014)

But you're right, Quebec has a lot more whores. Or at least their whores are better looking and you would actually WANT to fuck them. Wink That's because Quebec abandoned the Catholic Church in the 1960's and fully embraced the secular attitude on a grand scale. Quebec whores are proud to be whores. They even date politicians.

(Julie Couillard and Maxime Bernier https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2008..._aide.html)

Ontario still has that lingering Protestant puritanical culture that frowns upon prostitution. While the churches are dying in Ontario, they're not utterly empty like they are in Quebec. When you combine that puritanism with the outright hatred of heterosexual men that is emanating from the anti-culture cesspool of Toronto, you have a very toxic mix that results in, as you say, anti-sex and anti-fun. Milo has lucidly pointed out that lesbians are intrinsically anti-sex as he describes the phenomenon of "lesbian bed death".

Milo Wrote:It’s not like they’re in it for the sex. Maybe it’s the faint whiff of cat sick, maybe the chafing of polyester bedsheets, but it’s well known that lesbians stop having sex after the first few months and retreat into hobbies like softball, vegetarianism, penis envy and Twitter.
