I get both sides of this. Sure you can flip it both ways - and I chose the 9 - but I can't fault a guy for valuing a fun, young, chaste, sweet girl from a good family.

It depends on my personal wealth.

If I make a low, to average income I'll take the smart 6. I'll assume that she'll be frugal and know how to stretch a dollar and be able to home school children.

If I am well off, with disposable income I'll take the dumb 9. I can keep her preoccupied with trinkets and not have to depend on her to cook or do the laundry. I can hire a housekeeper to do that and eat out while sending my kids to boarding school.

Really? My mum is a good independent woman, a doctor, high will power and not a feminist (she understands that women have it far worse in countries like Iran and saudia arabia)

I agree that a good independent woman is hard to find, but I think there are some, albiet very very rare

I have a female friend who I would consider intelligent.

She's also basically the female version of the internet neckbeard. This is something she freely admits to.

While her looks aren't great, what really makes her unattractive from a romantic/amorous perspective is more her personality. She doesn't have a tingle of feminine charm with her. When I hang out with her I basically feel like I'm hanging out with another guy. She's in her mid 20s and not only is she mostly likely still a virgin I don't think she's ever had a boyfriend or even been on a date before. Her interests include finances (she actually was an investment banker for a while before she left to work to start a coffee distribution company with a partner), politics, theology/philosophy...so she doesn't exactly have a typical female brain.

That's not to say intelligence is a total boner killer. My oneitis was pretty intelligent but she also had a lot of charm and sweetness to go along with it too; she's also one of the few funny females I know. What this does show is that intelligence by itself isn't going to get anyone hot and bothered. I think this applies to guys too. I'm sure we all know a guy or we used to be the guy who would get frustrated that his success in school and general intelligence wasn't getting women interested and would hate on the "dumb" frat boys and DJs that were getting vee jay jay.

I've seen this in action. A few years ago I was on a road trip with my cousin, her boyfriend (now husband) and my cousin's parents. I was in the back of the car with my cousin and her boyfriend for hours at a time so we had a lot of long conversations. I had just met him for the first time but we had plenty to talk about from economics, politics, even stuff like how car engines worked. While he and me would have a conversation for hours on end my would cousin pretty much just sit there and stare out the window cause she had nothing to contribute. The times he did talk to her it would be stuff like "Baby, are you hungry, hmmm?" and some flirty type stuff. His way of speaking would too, it would change almost into the way a parent would talk to his child.

This isn't an isolated observation either. I've seen this many times with other couples where the guy will be an intelligent, well traveled man who can converse on and on about "high brow" subjects but then you would see him talk to his girlfriend and the conversation would devolve to stuff like to "How was your day baby?" , "Did you see the discount they had at the supermarket today?", basically small talk BS. Long before I even heard of the red pill I had already noticed this difference between man-man conversations and man-woman ones.

I think the 9 thing is based on ego..a 9 is only a 9 as long as your boys rate her a 9. For me, there are certain things added up that makes the lizard a 9 for me. Example, the type of lizards I like most of the forum members do not and the type of the lizards the forum members like I do not.

I think in terms of attraction as well as practicality for long term. A 6 can become a 9 based on her presentation, personality and a 9 can become a 4 based on behaviour.

Mage, I must say I find this quote of yours very strange. I have never met an intellectual 9 in my life. I always presumed that it was simply because a very stunning girl really does not have a lot of need to develop herself intellectually, they basically get everything for free in life. I've dated 9's and I found it always repulsive to see how everything would just come their way because of massive hordes of betas everywhere. The 9's I know (including a few I've dated) would then just not educate themselves, don't do shit in their lives and basically live of off men. Few of them were mentally stable as well.

Nevertheless, I do believe in the smart 9, but I think they are much less frequent than the 9's that didn't develop themselves. Maybe there is a geographic factor as well, because the 9's I know came mostly from poor countries where in general it is also much harder to develop yourself. Maybe other members can chime in with their experiences.

And: voted for the hot 9, for intellectualism I go to buddies or to this forum, don't need girls for that.
