I think it stems from self improvement being hard and not paying off instantly. It takes a life time to become the best man you can be and that's too much work for many people.
Whereas learning the best openers on Tinder or "keep escalating until she rejects you" can almost overnight start getting you more action than you got in your Beta days. Then you get obsessed with pussy and getting new notches, you dive headlong into Game and think that's what it's all about. Trying to be outcome independent to get pussy, trying to be confident to get pussy and trying to achieve abundance mentality, all just to get pussy.

Guys get stuck in that area of Red Pill and have no balance. All their focus is on how to get girls, they probably become good at it, but suddenly years go by. It's easy to do in high school and college where getting laid seems like the best thing ever and real life seems a long way off. But that attitude becomes a habit and they take it with them into their 20's and even further if they're not careful. Then, if they're lucky, they hit their 30's and suddenly they realise there's more to life and being a man than pussy. But they are behind the eight ball. It's not too late to start but if they'd had some balance, they could have had both already.

Game is important, you need it to get laid, but getting laid should not be the end goal, merely a by product of a life well lived and being the best you can be. Pussy comes and goes, looking at yourself in the mirror every morning and being proud of what you see, that's forever.

This is actually a very important sentiment, and an accurate observation to boot.

I saw this happening to myself this past summer/fall and that's why I wrote in the "2016 Game Goals" thread that my game effort in the near future is to back off from chasing strange 24/7 and shift my focus inward.

By and large this community is heavily centered around picking up women, but the game that we preach is about more than that. It's about cultivating a lifestyle that makes you an all around great man where getting women is merely a byproduct of said lifestyle.

I definitely agree that a lot of people that find the red pill and start studying game certainly get blinded by pussy and tend to forget other aspects of what game really is.

I think I'm a little older than some on here (40) and I completely agree with this. For me "Game" is a method of moving forward, an ideology, a formula and a methodology for survival and getting the best results from your particular situation.

Game refuses to be measured by your finances, or the amount of women you sleep with, or how muscular you are. Game is 90% internal.

In my eyes, your formula will ensure you can up and move to any country and build a life, having strong cornerstone principles will ensure your survival from that vindictive bitch or when your luck turns - you flick a mental switch and adjust.

Not afraid to rebuild and reconstruct your life, in fact relish in building something stronger, faster and better. Having zero fear. That's game for me.

There's no need to chase women with the thirst, get the shit right and it attracts them. For those serious about building empires, women can be a huge distraction.

This an unwritten reality.

I agree with the philosophy but not the details. People are busy. I forget sometimes to respond to even my best friends. It's not a conscious effort but it happens every 1/20 texts. I'm also busy during the day/ night w my own bs.

Just like courage said sometimes you have to chase and that dynamic is healthy.

In fact, I hate when a girl I want is always avaloable. It means she has zero going on in her life which in turn means she will want to spend every moment w me. Happened before.

I do agree w the sentiment, if a girl doesn't respect you then it's doomed to fail.

My rule is after date #1 she doesn't cut the chase game and pretends to be fake busy she's out.

Bill Gates talks about how if you aren't failing sometimes, you arent trying enough. I believe that to be true in jnterpersonal relationships as well. By pre emptively cutting off your interactions short you limit the range of girls you can get.

I can't see how 'one strike and you're out' is a workable standard. Maybe it makes me a supplicating orbiter cunt mired in scarcity, but if it's a girl i'm still trying to get out on a day 2 after initial meeting, i'll go up to 3 strikes, depending on the quality of the tail. Women's brains are scrambled as fuck, even if they're smitten with you they can miss a call. If i've done the hard work of getting a number, why would i be so precious about a non reply? i just shuffle them back to the bottom of the pile. My ego isn't that precious that sending a 3 line sms a week after a non reply is going to mean any more than exactly fuck all to me.

serpico, I think it's a general rule and not written in stone. Largely, it's based on ego..as long as you can live by those terms..it's great. Some guys however, mess up the game for others behind them. They overtext lizards and don't abide by any 3 strike rule and now she goes into the next encounter with the same time wasteful mentality. It's difficult to strike that balance..I see what you are saying but I also see what the others are saying too.
