Can I just get someone in the US to explain this line to me.

Why do US law enforcement act like tyrants and they're allowed to get away with it? I'm seeing it with the UK police now more than ever but we're nowhere near the US levels of this insanity.

One incident I remember was one police officer in riot gear smashing a guy in the back who later died from cardiac arrest.

This man was walking away from the police line and was no threat but the gang mentality took over and he gave the man "just deserts". This man was a mere bystander and was not a rioter or looter screaming fuck the police.

Police officer in question got off lightly. A man died from his actions which were violently intentional.

Having read the last chapters of 'the way of men', I see a lot of similarities here. A gang (the police) is losing control of itself and its members but the overall gang is sticking together.

Having to resort to more and more violence, regardless of how its reported these days, is it a sure sign they're losing control?

Simple and short answer: the powers that be do not want their enforcers to be worried about facing responsibility for their actions when they go in to enforce the elite's will.

There's definitely a line that cannot be crossed, but it's pretty hard to cross that line when dealing with protestors.

Why did they leave their hopefully fortified HQ?
They should have expected something like that.

Most police officers have this view as well.

Because for the entire month they were there beforehand the police were basically ignoring them. They had been coming and going frequently. From the sound of it, it's the involvement of the FBI and other Federal Agents that's escalated it into a violent confrontation.

Do you agree this makes the overall situation worse? Sure you could say it will make them think twice but armed men are the biggest threat to a state and these types won't always play by the state rules.

I don't understand why the US feds have such a hardon for killing when the only thing you need to do is manage the situation and de-escalate. They're only making their side of the bargain known and being in the information age they cannot exactly cover it up like they did in Waco.

More people come to the realisation the state has no intention of understanding your problems but will do its best to crush you. That is reminiscent of third world tyranny.

With lots of friends in Oregon, I've been following this closely. I do believe that the dead rancher killed was charging the police. Do I know it? No, but I believe it. I have to say, as much as I support the "cause", I don't support the means. The remaining "militants" aren't exactly the cream of the crop.

At 1:41 see that cop just teleport in front of the oncoming truck

Poorly edited video, seems like they're not even trying anymore.

What? The cop stepped out from behind the vehicle on the left. He would be roadkill if it wasn't for the snow bank.

So by this video the police story is that he stepped out of cover into the open before deciding to pull his gun? Sure...

Looking at the cnn article they're trying to frame it like a death wish by claiming the victim said something about refusing to go to prison.

He has his hands up at first, but then he starts moving them around and I can't tell what he's doing with them.

Either way, I don't hear no big uproar about this case of police shooting an unarmed (was he unarmed?) man.

I don't see it anywhere on CNN.com homepage or Facebook.

Supposedly he had a loaded pistol in his pocket, according to my local paper this morning.
I wouldn't put it past fbi/leo to plant, or they probably didn't need to do that, they just need to say it.

It really does look unnatural. It looks like the video was edited.

When he got out though and made any movement that wasn't simply putting his hands up, I'm not sure what else he expected after crashing his truck into a snow bank right next to the officers and their vehicles. Sad.

Lools like LaVoy pulled a Gran Torino. He stuck his hand in his belt twice like he was going for a gun. Doubt he had one and got shot unarmed. The just let him die in the snow too.

This is the first time I've seen footage from the FBI's new fixed wing surveillance aircraft. Notice how the camera is orbiting rather than still like a helicopter.

Don't be so sure. I read some good comments on this video. You can assume that he's going for his gun, however,

What if he's grabbing at his torso because the police have already opened fire and hit him?

What if he's grabbing for a gun because the cops have already started shooting?

There is no sound on this video, and the ranchers actions are pretty erratic once his hands come down.

Remember this video?

The lady acts like she is stung by a bee with the first shot. Lavoy also acts in a similar manner. Witnesses mentioned alot of gunfire, which I'd say is supported by the teargas or flashbangs going off around the truck after the rancher is down.

I am sure the rest of the truck occupants will provide testimony once they make it through custody.

looking for a new signature.

They really don't. And few people aside from you and my father seem to be asking this question. There are way too many instances where confrontations end up in bloodshed, when they could have just as easily ended peacefully and quietly.

I think from the authorities' perspective they didn't want another Waco where they'd look like the violent psychopaths they are, but conversely they couldn't allow some hillbillies to just flaunt the supreme authority of the omnipotent State by occupying a tiny building out in the middle of Bumblefuck, OR.

Ultimately given they knew exactly where these guys were heading they could have just gone there and likely arrested them without incident. Setting up the roadblock gave them the opportunity to get some kills in and scare off the rest of the militia. And it worked, turns out all these guys were just playing with their tricked out AR-15s and had no real intention of defending their nonexistent liberty.

Will there be any mass white chimpout in response? No, of course not, I live in Oregon and everyone I know is a liberal twat that will buy the "he was charging the cops" line, despite them believing the opposite about the great martyr Michael Brown, who died for our sins.
