I've been procrastinating about actually making approaches since reading Bang a few weeks ago, so I'm gonna start this thread to keep myself accountable (also I had a funny approach that I thought was worth sharing this morning)

So, here it is:
Approach #16-
(I show up at the Docs to get some blood drawn and the phlebotomist is cute-ish)
Me-How's your day starting?
Her-great so far, yours?
Me- you want me to flex? (she's looking for a vein)
Her- NO! that makes it harder.
Me- Damn, I LIKE flexing. After you're done maybe?
Her- haha
Various other stories, she chats a bit, lingers
Me- Give me your phone number, we should get coffee.
Her- But your records say you're married.
Me- I can keep a secret, can you?
Her- (laughs) no thanks... smiles
Me- Have a great one.

Cracked me up because just last night I was reading another thread about how often women use "I'm married." But, I was proud of my response. kept my frame.

#17 (been tough over new years as I was with family) Woman at the gym, saw her failing on her Barbel Presses, after I finished my Squats, walked over and asked if she'd like a spot on her next set. Surprisingly, she said "No thanks. no need." As I had my son with me, I couldn't pursue. So I walked away. But, I made the approach.

non-approach #18 - Pumping gas, saw a cute woman pulling up with a small kid in the back seat. I thought "a single mom would be fine" and started walking over to the bay that she was pulling into. As she opened her door, and stepped out, DAMN she was at least 7 months pregnant with #2, did a quick about face and returned to pumping gas.

non-approach #19 - was walking thru Barnes and Noble (bookstore) looking for any female taller than 4 foot and younger than 60. Was also looking for some ESL books (dont' ask) and walked down the learning materials row, to discover MY BOOK displayed prominently!!! fucking A. I knew it was on sale on Amazon but this was the first time I've seen it in a store!!! had a little kid take my picture with it, then still couldn't find any likely women. left and went home.

Tomorrow I'm going to the mall and not leaving until I've done 5 real approaches.
