A woman on a Sydney train threatened a man on the train with a weapon because she objected to him sitting near her. (There was a vacant space between them).

Now, it is true she only took out the weapon when he got up and followed her, but before he did so he was subjected to a tirade of abuse for having the temerity to sit where he did. Note the "male shaming" language that she spews and then lies about having been hit. WTF??

While getting up and following her wasn't the smartest move on his part, I think part of it can be explained by the fact that he felt righteous anger in being shamed this way, without any provocation. Also, I gather he is Chinese (judging by his accent) so there would have been a real loss of face. It's all here, attention whoring, efforts at shaming male sexuality, appeals to white knights.

Make no mistake, the war on men is real and we'll see more and more toxic displays of GRRRLL POWER like this.

Crazy? She does not appear to be having a psychotic episode. If by "crazy" you mean she reacted in a manner completely and irrationally disproportionate to the threat she perceived, then, yes. However, she seemed lucid and in control of her faculties, as evidenced by her appeals to the other passengers.

The anti- male narrative is becoming so deeply entrenched that it gives every woman with a grievance, regardless of its legitimacy, a tool kit to play the victim and tarnish the man in her sights. What if the incident wasn't recorded and if there were fewer witnesses on the carriage?

Notice that she is wearing an Everlast sweatshirt and sweatpants. I take it that she admires Ronda Rousey and dabbles in boxing or MMA. It would explain her aggressiveness and exaggerated confidence in her fighting prowess.

But also notice how quickly the man in the wife beater almost effortlessly disarms her by grabbing her arm and pinning her to the seats.

From what I see in & around this city. Everlast gear is more of a mid /
low range 'fitness' status symbol.

She may dabble in boxing or some such, yet I'd say her behaviour is
more to do with her ethnicity & her perceived 'victimhood status'.

The mere fact that as a chick, she feels the need to carry some kind of

Definite 'low class'. Whatever status the Everlast Brand has in other countries, it doesn't have it down here. The brand has become as tainted in Australia as the Burberry Brand is in England.

I rarely see any serious fitness blokes wearing it, particularly as the brand expanded heavily into female fashion. I suspect it's become seen as a 'chick thing'.

The myth is this:



Sure, I've seen the occasional girl who looks like this, but whenever they open their mouth, it's all "ow ya garn?" rather than "how are you?"

The reality is the brand is adored by Fat Bogan (lower class) Girls, all of whom love the Zipped Hoodie / Sweat Pants or Zipped Hoodie / Black Legging combo, particularly with Hoop Earrings. For some reason the cut of those Everlast Hoodies really accentuates a lack of fitness in the wearer: there's a unique Bulging Back Fat Roll they create that should almost be considered an accessory. I'm guessing the girls never see themselves from behind, but my eyes have been scorched many times, to the extent I loathe the brand because it's mentally-paired with sloth and obesity, and questions like "Do bogan guys hold onto the back rolls for leverage as they do them doggy?"

This girl in the video is probably the skinniest woman I've ever seen wearing the brand, (which is probably why an Ex used to refer to it as 'Fat Mole Wear'). That being said, she's exactly the sort of girl I'd expect to be wearing it.

As for men, I only ever really see it worn by those greyhound-thin Bogan Guys who look like they've never lifted a weight in their life, or Gay Men: the singlets seem standard issue on that certain type of emaciated aging faggot who is desperately trying to deny the reality that his party days are over.

Maybe us blokes aren't as brand conscious. Most fellas I know tend to throw on a footy short / generic singlet combo to train.

Ah, I just remembered I've got one of these. Guess that blows that theory.

The only thing the Asian guy did wrong in the video is follow her when she was leaving, and she caused that herself anyway.

In the news article they quote passengers saying the man wasn't doing anything and she was ripping on him for while before he had had enough.

I see situations like this all the time, where one person is being pointlessly aggressive with someone else, and that person keeps their composure, that is, acts like a grown up, until it is too much, and then they feel wronged, and continue the conflict because they have been disrespected.

It's like driving past a homeless person, and visibly locking your car doors right when you get to him, and he sees it, and starts screaming at you. He was planning on leaving you alone, but your gesture of disrespect sets him off because he was minding his own business, and didn't need to be reminded of his place in the grand scheme of things.

Guy is lucky she pulled a weapon, or this could easily have been spun, even with video evidence, as an example of creepers on public transportation.

I can understand someone getting a little nervous around a homeless person or someone who appears dangerous and locking their doors. Regardless of being "disrespected" they would understand why an average person would do that. I'd probably do it because I think a 1 second effort that can save me a lot of headache is a good cost vs benefit move.

I watched this video again because of the solid take down.

Those of you watching should take special note to the fear in the other people's body language and the complete lack of fear in the guy in the white tank top who took her down. You can almost see his thoughts of, "god dammit what is this girl doing? Aww man, am I going to have to take her down? Fuck...alright I better put my phone away so I can deal with this stupid girl"
