This is a small little detail.. but I think Game is sometimes the culmination of a lot of little details adding up.

Historically, I’ve always had my text messages set with read receipts turned off. I think most people do this for the obvious reason that we don’t want people to know when we’ve read their message. If I know that my friend knows that I’ve seen their text, I feel more compelled to respond quickly as not to be rude. The easy solution to this has been to turn off read receipts and then the people that message you will be none the wiser when you temporarily brush off their text to respond at a time more convenient for you.

In the spirit of ZFG, I recently decided to turn read receipts on and leave a cold hard time-stamp at the bottom of my text screen that shows girls exactly when I read and didn’t respond to their text. And it drives them crazy.

Knowing when not to text back is a huge part of text game. I think hitting them with the read receipts amplifies that.

Again, this is a small detail that won’t make or break any situation. But I’m curious if anyone else out there keeps read receipts on for the sole purpose of attracting girls by ignoring them.

Nah, not responding is enough in my opinion. They don't know if you read it or not, they wonder what you're doing. I don't think the read receipts thing is going to add to any attraction.

In fact it could rob you of the very important option of saying you've been too busy to even check messages. You never know what angle you'll need to play, so having her in the dark is best.

The only thing it could do is limit your options, while not providing any appreciable advantage.

The downside is, when you turn off read receipts you can't see read receipts on messages you send, at least in WhatsApp and Viber it's like that.

You could read the text on your lock screen and not actually open the message which would send the read receipt until later. You can still read the message and then choose when to send the read receipt. So you can have it both ways.

I don't know I still think read receipts on gives her that annoyed attraction from not getting what she wants.

Lyrics probably written by someone else since we know his not putting pussy on a pedestal is a serious lie. He gets way too into his feelings when shit goes left with chicks. Hell, he's still talking about Rihanna on wax.

I experimented with this for about the three months, and frankly - didn't really notice much of a difference in regards to anything.

Thinking about it, leaving texts unread so you don't send the receipts right away, etc. - too much work. You're much better off channeling that brainpower into other things.

I'm not sure if mine are on or off. I know with some friends and chicks I get the read stamp and some I don't. Its probably best left off...or it can be situational. You're busy and don't want to be bothered (off), you're returning text and looking to re-initiate (on). Some girls may leave them on to show their disinterest or to test your response.

Not sure if the read message thing applies to all devices but if you have an iPhone, go to the "Settings" box, scroll down to "Messages," and you will see tab that says "Send Read Receipts." Slide left to turn off, right to turn on. This will allow others to be notified when YOU have read their messages.

I like the way you're thinking.

If you're getting *1* new bang say every 10-14 days this might creep up notch count but this isn't necessarily a Jedi Mind Trick when your pipeline is skinny. I.e you can't make one particular girl respond in a certain way to your attention or lack of attention reliably. It's a calculated risk, but a risk. I say this knowing that the new players are going to try this INSTEAD of trying verbal techniques to pull.

Without a good flow of women you're still at the mercy of the few.

As an aside this "alpha" behavior, casual disregard for her attention is better in person than mediated through electronic devices.

Commiting herself more to the chase,
The suspense to great for her.
She'll never really know, she wants to desperately, whilst being deathly afraid of rejection, it drives her crazy.

First of all I'm new to game so I haven't got that much experience. Though I would like to add my 2 cents.

Since at this time my only resource of girls is 'online game' I can tell my text game is really developing, thans to numerous threads found here. One thing I am trying to find out by myself is whether using read receipts or just turn the option off.

My read receipts are 'ON' and my last seen option is 'OFF'. At the moment I'm having a conversation over text with about 6 girls (active conv. about something other that logistics) and sometimes I deliberately just read their message and then ignore them. Sometimes because it's some bullshit not really worth my response, sometimes because of I just want to see what happens, will our conversation die? For me personally I think this method is one worth trying because 7/10 times they will try to keep it going either by starting about something different or just ask why I didn't respond. Note that sometimes it might take a full 24 hours before they contact me again, so be patient and think 'abundance'.

A thing that stands out is that 9/10 times the girl will restart with a question. This could be about anything or even "why are u ignoring me :-(" but that doesn't really matter. She wants you talking to her so she'll ask whatever comes to mind just to get your attention. Double win, because now she's also investing.

The girls that didn't do this required some input by me. Needless to say which of these leads gone lukewarm/cold.

Skip texting altogether, except for basic logistic info like "Running late, see you in 20." I use proper grammer and punctuation also.

Separate yourself from the sheeple and build your frame at the same time.

I tend to agree with GlobalMan that it is best to keep girls in the dark, but I suppose it could have a positive effect if your game/frame is such that this plays into it, I'm just not seeing how.

As for reading the text on your lock screen I think this is a bad game move. I have always had this feature off once I realized how easy it was for me to read my friend's business on their phones when they're out on a table or when they're using their phone and a text comes in. You often only need just a few words or a sentence of a text message to get the gist of it or to discover something that is not public information about someone.

I think it's a bad game move to allow your text messages to be previewed on your lock screen.

I don't turn on read receipts when texting girls.

I also don't save those girls numbers with a name either. I usually have a pretty good memory of who I'm talking to, I text multiple girls everyday, setting up dates, or farming info to set one up. OR to maintain plates.

I DO let my lock screen show notifications for texts, but NOT a preview.

There have been a few times where it's come in handy in person when I'm with a girl and it makes the girls hamster spin.

I also allow notifications, just not previews of anything. Also, I use the same noise for a number of different notifications so funnily enough I have had many girls say "oh so popular" thinking I'm getting 5 or 6 text messages within the span of a few minutes when in reality my contract work website is just e-mailing me a bunch of automated notifications.

I just smirk with them none the wiser.

Also, if any of you have a 4 number passcode or 4-position swipe gesture unlock, unless you're amazingly on top of entering it when nobody can see, this is trivial for someone to memorize. I'd keep it 8 characters or longer or 8 positions or longer or even better, a fingerprint scan if your phone has that feature.

There's no advantage to having previews on the lock screen, since you can still see a preview on your notification screen (on Android at least) in case you don't want it to display that you've viewed the message.

I've taken this a step further and on whatsapp found a way(cydia app) to show people who send me messages one gray check instead of two gray or blue ones. It rattles chicks brains when I don't respond because they don't even know if I got the message or not. But I can see when they received and read my messages. It's come through in the clutch too when I have double booked chicks at the same time. I can always play the didn't get your messages card and whatsapp will confirm that with the one grey check mark. With the modern day social media style communication we have going on, things like read receipts are becoming a subtle factor in digitally gaming chicks.

She got my read receipt after her 3rd text "those"

She saw that I read and ignored and then responded with a more enticing text to get a response from me.

Still experimenting with this so maybe it's not worth the time in the end. But I think at least in some instances it will get her to invest more than she otherwise would have.

I think if it's a girl you haven't banged, leave the read receipt off. I can only see this as helping your game if you've already banged and want to keep her on the chain. Once they give it up they are more likely to want a response from you, so the idea of them knowing you've read and not responded to their text would hold more weight at that point.
