A Canadian transgender father left behind a wife and seven children to begin a new life as a six-year-old girl.

Stefonknee (pronounced ‘Stephanie’) Wolschtt, 46, had been married for 23 years when she realised she was transgender.

She's now living with an adoptive family, and says she does not “want to be an adult right now”.

“I can’t deny I was married. I can’t deny I have children. But I’ve moved forward now and I’ve gone back to being a child,” she said in a video series by The Transgender Project, published by Daily Xtra.

Ms Wolschtt said her wife could not accept her as a transgender woman. She was told to either “stop being trans or leave”.

“To me, ‘stop being trans’ isn’t something I could do,” she says. “It would be like telling me to stop being 6ft 2 or leave.”

Feeling rejected by her family, Ms Wolschtt left and now lives with her adoptive family, who she says are “totally comfortable with me being a little girl”.

She explains how her new parents’ youngest granddaughter wanted a little sister and decided Ms Wolschtt should be younger than her.

“We have a great time. We colour, we do kid’s stuff,” she says.

“It’s called play therapy. No medication, no suicide thoughts. And I just get to play.”

In an earlier part of the series, Ms Wolschtt spoke of how she became suicidal and was hospitalised a month after taking part in the first Toronto transgender march in 2009.

After she was discharged, her wife accused her of harassment and assault, and pressed charges against her to achieve a restraining order.

In 2012, her eldest daughter invited Ms Wolschtt to her wedding, but requested she “dress like her dad” and to sit at the back of the church and not address any members of the family.

The day of her daughter’s wedding, Ms Wolschtt attempted suicide for the last time, and was unsuccessful.

She now receives support from the Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto, where the congregation is mostly made up of LGBT people.

I read choice quotes from the article to my girlfriend and she told me I need to avoid the internet to keep my sanity. With the exception of this forum, I agree with her.

I'm living in Ottawa, a few hours away from Toronto. I got back here in September after more than a year overseas. There has been a clear "Bruce Jenner effect" on what I see in the streets downtown.

I don't ever recall seeing trannies at all in 2014 and before. There's one semi-famous singing drag queen here who you can hire for parties (who goes by the name China girl) but that was it.

Since getting back post-Jenner, I have often seen trannies while running errands in my day-to-day life. In the grocery stores, waiting for the bus, all over. One day I was shopping at the book store and I had a chatty tranny (M to F) greet me at the checkout cash.

Another day, I went to a hipster coffee shop to get some work done. I sat down at a table and pulled out my laptop. I saw some woman who looked like Margaret (from Bob and Margaret cartoon) sitting at a table across from me, looking at me curiously.



I had a hint that she was a tranny but I wasn't 100% sure. She looked like one of those frumpy, run-down high school principals. After a while, another woman, a butch lesbian joined the tranny, whose low, manly voice immediately gave him away.

For the next hour, I was able to hear the lesbian talk about all the guys she had fucked before "coming out" and the tranny, discuss the transformation in his/her (??) manly voice. All they talked about for an hour was sex. No other subject was broached.

Also, the top-40 radio station here recently held a contest to award someone $40,000 to help them pay for gender reassignment surgery. At bus shelters across the city this image and caption "THE NEW NORMAL" was posted on huge posters.



The Bruce Jenner phenomenon has had a real impact in my corner of Ontario.

A lesbian Premier who goes to mosques, Big Red, FHRITP outrage and now trannies galore. Seems like this province can't get enough of the progressive freakshow.

Quick tip for my Canadian brothers who like to chill out in coffee shops. I have found that Second Cup shops tend to be the best environment for the heterosexual male. Tim Hortons is too "fast food" and not really set up for long stays. Starbucks and independents tend to be over run by hipsters, homosexuals and (now) trannies on both sides of the counter. Second Cup, at least in Ottawa, seems to attract mostly students (daygame opportunities) and working professionals. Normal people for the most part. They also often play country music, which is pretty much a repellent to manginas, hipsters and gays. The shops I frequent seem to have at least one cute 100% female barista working behind the counter. I now give Second Cup regular business.

This is related to the phenomenon I've noticed on how colouring books are now a thing to sell to adults. They're proclaimed to be "therapeutic" tools. People seem to miss the fact they're therapeutic tools for people so badly fucked up they can't do anything but gross-to-fine motor activites. They are literally marketing colouring books to adults.
