You need to maximize the amount of time you are in front of her.

You Ned to create a down time in the interaction. If you try to handle business when she's swiping items, especially if there's a line, you're gonna lose.

Grocery stores are set up in specific ways to maximize profits. The milk is usually on the back wall.

Grab a carton of milk and poke a little hole in it. Then, when she picks it up, she will notice a leak. She will have to send a bagger all the way back through the store to get another one. Use that little break in the action to work your magic.

If you feel like you need even more time do the exact same thing but with something the store only has one of on the shelf.

That only would happen if there is a bagger there, sometimes there is no bagger, either she will go and grab another milk or tell you to go and run and grab one.

It's totally fine to go for the jugular and ask her out after 20 seconds of ramble. Because you don't have much more than 20 seconds.

This would depend on how often you see her.

They generally are not really bothered to interact with anyone and are shitty at showing any interest.

Around my work and home, I often see the check-out girls more than not and I generally am inquisitive and build rapport.

Initially, I like to eye-fuck them and get them out of their comfort-zone. Just be memorable.

The more times you see them, the more they warm up, even if its just 30 seconds a time. Their faces will light up when they see you.

I never really focused on openers specifically, I have just blurted out shit depending on my mood.

Regardless, I always ask them how they are and will segue based on their enthusiasm or lack of (mostly lack of, don't blame them).

- On a scale from 1 - 729, how tired are you?

- What time do you finish?

- I am cashing in my bonus points for a Ferrari, what time should I pick you up?

Essentially, you just gotta break her out of her monotonous autopilot mode.

I like talking to everyone though, even the uglies. Sometimes it makes their day and it doesn't even matter to me. They always treat me well at my local stores, be it weighing fruit or bagging items.

As for baggers, I will always join in on bagging my items. Sometimes I am anal as to where to put the stuff, other times, I feel like it will accelerate the process. Usually, though, I will send the bagger to get me cigarettes.

I will always flirt if I get a chance though.

Most of the time, I "slow play" the cashier girls. Build a relationship over time.

Whats the big rush to get her number? Especially, if timing and logistics are not good.

I like to get in her line when I know I'm looking my best. I might even wait for her line be empty so I can have more privacy. The first few times I do this I don't really try to "game" her verbally. (unless she is chatty or flirty)

I just want to get in front of her and see how the vibe is, I don't force it.

Then I get in her line once, twice, or even three times a week for the next 3-4 weeks... After a month or so, she should start to recognize you as a "regular customer". Little by little, I start to tease her and joke with her. If she responds well, I look for an opportunity to get her number. (Maybe on her break or by asking her for "help" with a product)
