I just started reading it, but she said that for women without children, the pay gap is 12% but the productivity gap is only 2%. That's interesting and of course in the long term, motherless children are more productive. But I'm very skeptical about the method of her data collection when she comes to the conclusion that men are on average only 2% more productive than women.

I will read on.

They also need to include reference to the fact that when women women foul up, a man has to come in and straighten it out. So, men get to do a man's job and the substantial part of the womans job, without added pay.

She made the shocking discovery that mothers in all sectors are less productive and are paid less that motherless children.

However, she also came to the conclusion that women of prime child bearing age (which she defines as 25-35) are the most productive of all groups, even significantly higher than men of prime child rearing age (also defined as 25 to 35), while mothers of this age are significantly less productive.

According to her it's only when men are not at prime child rearing age that they are only slightly more productive than women. However in this age group, productivity is significantly less for all groups than it was in their "prime child rearing years"

Overall she says that, after factoring in there is still a 4% wage gap compared to productivity after factoring in occupational choices, hours worked etc. Implying that motherless women are almost as productive as men.

I smell shit and I am skeptical about how she gathered her data.
