You guys are way too optimistic. If it turned out to be cartel related, there'd be crickets in the media. Politicians and pundits would give lip service to gun control, and then within a few days they would drop it entirely, never to be discussed on air again.

Remember when Obama called ISIS a junior varsity threat that was contained the morning before the Paris attacks? How often was that discussed on TV? Anyone? Bueller?

If it doesn't fit the narrative, it must be buried.

Perhaps the shooters had a family member who was disabled and something happened with this regional center, either benefits cut off. I could see a group of semi-thuggy "cousins" or someone who felt slighted by the "man" cutting off benefits of some kind with the intent to go in there and just kill people as revenge and get away. The shot up an administrative christmas party, which are usually the "decision makers" and their staff.
