To keep it short & brief.
We all "know" the physical universe is comprised of atoms, neutrons, electrons, energy waves, light / radiation & so forth.
(Although it may just be one highly advanced virtual 3D simulation.)

Yet, whether you are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, spiritualist or similar.

Have you ever pondered what the "spiritual" plane is comprised of?
The actual 'nuts & bolts' of heaven, nirvana, valhalla, what have you.
Is it also atoms & light?
Is it "ether"?
Or is it something else entirely?

There are some questions we may never know the answers to or be capable of understanding.
(For the record. I'm quite sober while compiling this.)

All 'ether' means to me is a chemical compound with the functional group C-O-C. Although I believe in destiny ans things like that, things like a spiritual world are silly.

it's comprised of spiritual energy.

you should read "the tao of physics" to understand how incomplete and one-sided your view of the physical universe is. that book (the first part of it) was the jump-off point for me from the prison of rationalism. the student got ready and the teacher appeared out of - guess what! - ETHER :-)

You can build unmeasurable, non existent, imaginary places out of whatever your heart's desire is.

You imagination is the limit.

I like to think its made of 24% imagination, 18% creativity, 35% fear and 33% denial.

Recently there was a study done that showed that there was the possibility of the soul leaving the body, somehow they used string theory, but we will see what that turns up. Personally, I think that we will get what we deserve when we die. It would also be interesting to see what happens when we create true artificial intelligence and see if they perceive the possibility of something after they "die." What I do know is that everything is made of energy, so I think the spiritual plain is as well.
