This seems like a good topic for my first ever post to the forum.

My biggest red pill moment was several years ago when my wife divorced me because she was "unhappy." Of course, on her way out the door she (1) drained my savings account, (2) requested half of my retirement, (3) requested half of my future pay checks for life, and (4) tried to take our kid and move 1500 miles away across the U.S.

Luckily, I had a decent attorney and a relatively reasonable judge. I won the relocation battle and got 50-50 custody. However, I am still paying her an exorbitant amount of money every month . . . though not quite half, and only for a finite term.

I now realize how screwed up our society and system can be, and that this is an all too common story. But at the time, it was my first true red pill wake up call.

My biggest red pill was my first one, I don't really share this with anyone so enjoy!

For anonymity's sake, this was 5-10 years ago.

I was in high school about to graduate, and my girl (took her virginity, dating 2 yrs., we were at a bump in the road) at the time was getting a lot of attention from some new kid in school. The kid came from a troubled background, generally didn't care about school, was a fuck up, etc. He was obsessing over my girl, inviting her out to eat and trying to get her attention, I kind of just brushed it off and continued to do my thing, I felt confident where I stood.

This guy eventually gets an actual tattoo of my girl's name on his upper forearm, that caused me to think 'hey, maybe something is up... he's not right in the head or maybe something else'. I told my girl to stop talking to him, we got into an argument.

One day I approached him during lunch and asked him what's up with the tat? and I completely mock him in front of his peers. After a brief argument, and a short physical altercation, his friends split us up and I verbally schedule a fist fight after school.

I'm pissed off, but feeling confident at the same time, that guy was much shorter than me, and i've been in a few drunken fist fights and altercations in pit of punk/metal shows I often frequented at the time.

Lunch ends and I head to class walking with my girl, we split for a few seconds and then suddenly I'm interrupted by homeboy and his friends. Fuck the after school stint, lets settle this right now is what they must have thought. Okay. Looks like I don't have much of a choice, I thought. I put my long-ass hair into a pony-tail, and got ready to get into it.

We went at it and that fucker grabbed the shit out my hair and bashed my face in. Left hand yanking my pony-tail like a bitch and right hand laying down the law.

I got a few punches in and didnt fall to the ground but he dominated that fight. Left me with a black eye and few bruises, but idk about him.

As for my girl, I think she saw the fight cuz after it was said and done with me and her (<1 months), she was with him.

Dating the guy who tattooed her name, bought her shit, took her out to eat, beat up her boyfriend...

Who knew you can get out of the friend-zone?

My ego was completely shattered.

There's always something good out of every bad, and the positive of this is that in my seemingly-eternal cringe made me self-reflect and realize why things ended up the way they did, all my fuck ups, loss of frame, neediness, insecurity. I don't blame her for leaving, I was turning into a bitch, I was losing my masculine energy that she was attracted to in the first place; and when that guy kicked my ass she knew it was time to jump ship.

AWALT was a tough pill to swallow but I got through it.

Yet you have "Christological beliefs," which are for the Church to worry about, and you want quick lays from wife-material girls.
My advice: stick to tradition when you think it's time to have children (the only reason to get married.)
Marry a good girl, keep her busy with children and Mass, and have a mistress who can be discrete.

Till then, try to avoid reaching for the Greek dictionary and have lots of no-strings sex with bad girls.

For me going to University managed to Red Pill me completely.

In the first week all of the girls were riding the cock carousel with the Alphas, this was at first the toughest pill to swallow as I believed it was only a minority of women who behaved this way. I was a typical passive nice guy at the time who subscribed to the Disney style 'ONEitis' bullshit and didn't even have the balls to approach chicks, and the ones I knew through social circles always ended up friendzoning me.

The main thing that led me down the Red Pill path was a guy in my flat in my halls of residence who I befriended who was your typical tall, jacked Alpha who had quit the marines to come to Uni, this guy had a girlfriend who he regularly cheated on which she found out about several times yet still went back to him, had married women in the city on business trips invite him to their hotel rooms to fuck them and literally used Tinder like it was Domino's Pizza for pussy. Then it kinda clicked for me that women always look to date up (hypergamy) and a small minority of the best men have access to the majority of pussy.

Then I stumbled across the Manosphere, which confirmed most of these hypotheses and I decided to use these resources to become a better man.

The Red Pill is a tough pill to swallow, but it sure is beneficial in the long run.

I have an ex-friend who is pretty much the epitome of the alpha bad boy, almost like he's the Platonic form of bad boys everywhere that we constantly refer to when we talk about the poor dating decisions women make and how that has led to the dating culture we have today. The time period when I first discovered Roosh also happened to be the time when our friendship was at it's closest so it was almost like God brought him into my life so I could see first hand in the real world that the ideas I was learning about were the real deal as opposed to unsupported internet speculations. Of all the guys I've met during my life, he is the one I would say is the most successful with women. To give you guys a quick rundown of what he is like:

- Lost his virginity at 14 and has been banging ever since. Had a notch count in the 80s about 3 years ago and probably has hit double digits by now. Maybe that doesn't sound like a lot to people here but for a guy who has never heard of game and never want to college (ie. Wasn't surrounded by hot chicks 24/7) I'd say that's pretty good.

- Was locked up in juvie as a teen and apparently was involved in some sort of gang and was listed in the registry for gang members in the police station of his hometown. Also has been locked up in jail for short amount of times in his adulthood.

- Is an amateur MMA fighter with the looks of one ie. Tattoos and exotic hair styles

- Never graduated high school and instead got his GED.

- Has never been able to hold down a job for more then a few months. Constantly leaches off of relatives and girls he's dating. I'm not talking just about bumming rides and meals (though he does do that) but I mean that a girl he's dating will move him into her home (or her family's home) and support him financially while he's sitting in the basement smoking weed and getting into shenanigans.

- What was more impressive then his notch count to me was how deeply in love girls would fall in love for him. For me that was a shock because I was used to seeing guys desperately moving earth and sky for whatever girl they were into. These guys were all stable, educated guys that were willing to put in 200% for their relationships, the opposite exact type from my ex-friend. They also got the exact opposite results from him.

- At one point he was juggling two serious relationships at once. One was the mother of his children who was obsessively in love him to the point that her dad actually had expressed to my ex-friend “I've never seen her be as in love with anyone else as you”. The other girl was the daughter of a rich Wall Street lawyer who had killed himself leaving her with a fortune. This girl would lavish him with stuff such as: paying for trips to Brazil for when he wanted to train BJJ/MMA there, getting him front row tickets to UFC events which cost 4 figures, letting him drive her car or giving him rides to wherever he wanted, baby sit his daughter while he would be out doing whatever he wanted among tons of other favors. My favorite story was one time I was visiting him at this porn shop he worked at at the time and him asking me if I was hungry. I said yes and he gave me a debit card and told me to pick up something for both of us. I looked at the card and it was his girlfriend's card. Besides these two girlfriends he would still be banging tons of other chicks on the side included married women, girls in relationships, etc.

- I think the word “ignorant” is trite and overused but if I did have to use it, it would definitely apply to him. Despite being Puerto Rican he for some reason hated blacks and would constantly refer to them by the n-word. He actually straight up refused to watch the NBA just because it consists of mostly black players. His reasoning for hating blacks was: “Ya know, they always sag their pants and they're just so hood and ignorant!” which was hilarious because of all the people I knew he was the most “hood” out of all of them. He also hated Dominicans for some reason. Funny thing is that the rich girl I talked about above is pretty liberal and has SJW tendencies but none of his racism seemed to ever bother her.

My friendship with him coincided with when I started becoming active on the forums here so it was pretty informative to have a concrete example of all the stuff we talk about on here in real life. I got to see a real life alpha Chad Thundercok type in real life as I was reading those types on here. I was a lot luckier then the rest of you guys in that I didn't have to swallow the red pill by being crushed by some girl and instead was able to mostly learn about it by observing the behavior of a real life natural.

I haven't been around as many Puerto Ricans but it's not unusual for most latinos to dislike blacks. In fact it's real common everywhere in the U.S. A lot of American born and raised latinos hate blacks with a seething passion that's beyond anything else except the most hardcore white supremacist types.

Latinos constantly rag on other latino ethnic groups too based on nationality and class and it will devolve into third world ghetto violence when personal and cultural interests cross paths.

My interactions with blacks and Hispanics have taught me that racism is definitely not just something that whites do to everyone else. Rather it's something that everyone does to everyone else. I'm Asian and I can tell you that Asians can be just as bad, not even the older generation but even the younger ones. If anything I noticed that non-whites tend to be more open about racist and don't see it as much of a taboo as (middle/upper class) whites do.

Thanks for the advice. Part of the issue for me, at least, is that I'm fairly well trained as a Biblical scholar. Most of the other people I know in the field have similar forms of cognitive dissonance.
