I've always been a nice guy, not out of betaness or supplication but because i come from a culture where strangers are treated like friends & guests are treated like royalty.

Couple years ago i promised myself that for 48 hours, i would interact with people the opposite of how i normally would. In short, being a selfish asshole in every situation. Bar, club, grocery store, mall ... wherever and in every situation i went out of my way to be a dick. Not being openly abrasive and confrontational but coming from a mental frame of "me first and fuck you". Friday to Sunday morning. The way men and women alike defer to you is truly amazing. Got laid both Friday and Saturday nights too.

My own experience I had with an ex who I found out to have NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder). I was already living with her at the time and a friend who is a psychologist suggested while I make a soft exit out the door and ensuring I get out of it relatively unscathed that I should try treating her like shit and see what happens as I had really nothing to lose.
