this girl is dropping hints like a mofo about how she has been wanting a necklace for forever and no one has gotten one for her. I was going to go to one of those machines and buy a nice plastic one for her . Is that enough or should i give that to her and then give her a slightly better gift later?

Some inside knowledge that may or may not be relevant; ive been seeing her for about 3 weeks and i told her i'm not just talking to her for sex. and "i see this is heading towards a relationship"

this is unrelated but i just read your blog posts about vegas and damn you are very diligent about getting your approaches in. I havent really read something like that, that details how many approach attempts(most likely more than your wrote about) and how they went. But yeah good stuff though

Anyway, KB, at 3 weeks you're nearing that 1-2 month range where it's common (at least for me) for a girl to want to find out where she stands with you. IE - is she a fling or your girlfriend? These "hints" are her testing you. If you buy her a real necklace, then she'll feel more comfortable about her long term prospects with you. Thus, a fake necklace might be insulting to her and could hasten this fling running its course.

I'd probably ignore the necklace and continue telling her what she wants to hear, and then doing what you want to. That should milk this one for the maximum amount of time possible.

serious note: get her a candy necklace, skittles, or plastic 50Cent necklace and judge her reaction and attitude the following seconds, minutes, and hours.

Personally, if she takes it poorly I'd gtfo because that girl aint nothin but a gold digga.

start cheap --> follow up big if necessary. 3 weeks is a bit soon in my opinion for something big though.

EDIT: Ignore all her requests for gifts until she asks you for the necklace directly. Simply pretend you don't hear her stupid insinuations. If and when she asks you directly for it, tell her: "that's funny, I've really been wanting a [fill-in-the-blank expensive electronic] for a long time too. Do you want to trade gifts when we reach our one-year anniversary?" (since you said you might be keeping this one for a while). This will either shut her the-fuck-up or get you a commensurate gift. If you could take her or leave her that's even better: ask for a threesome with one of her hot friends.
