Wire and Niko, you are lucky that Merenguero may have retired from betting on boxing events.

Otherwise, betting against the guy who knows more about boxing than anyone else on this forum (and that is actually saying something) is not a very smart idea.

I guess he retired in time, though I have a feeling he would never have bet on this fight anyway. He only goes for the sure things.

I'm retired unless hell freezes over and we get Golovkin/Alvarez in 2016. If it happens, Alvarez will last longer than the other guys, but he'll still become a good boy around round 11. Take the over rounds, since they will be set around 8 1/2, since it's Golovkin.

Edit: I read the stupidest article earlier today. Something about Golovkin being in talks to fight Froch at a catchweight, but here's the thing, Froch is saying he can't make 168 anymore, so the catchweight would have to be somewhere between 172 and 175. Golovkin's manager, who seems really competent, would have to advise his guy to go up basically two weight classes to take on a guy who is easily one of the best supermiddleweights ever when Golovkin has never even fought at 168.

I'll try to explain what happened here, as some guys joined the party late and one or two guys might have been confused to begin with. I was picking Klitschko to win a close fight. I was with a client, a very difficult client, I might add, got distracted, and made my prediction not knowing that Fury had already pulled off the upset. Some of the guys on here were therefore joking that I picked the wrong guy after the decision was already announced. The one time I picked the wrong guy, I did it after the decision was already announced. Maybe that's where I went wrong.
