In theory, carrying a gun everywhere you go makes you safer, but there's a million things that it doesn't protect you from.

I don't take the CC and OC crowd very seriously because if they were really serious about safety and protecting themselves, they'd wear a bullet-resistant vest everywhere they go (you can wear those even when you're drinking) and if they were really concerned about being in a position to protect their loved ones, they'd all purchase two AED units and keep one at home and one in their lives.

It's far more likely in your lifetime that you'll be in a position where an AED can save lives than a situation where a handgun is going to make a difference.

There's not a single member of the CC and OC community that does these things, so I can safely conclude that very few sincerely carry out of concern for their lives, but rather that they just like carrying and playing with guns.

Not that there is anything wrong with that. I like playing with guns too and if I was in possession of firearms, I wouldn't mind having knowledge that they would come in handy if I ever needed them to protect myself. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

However, don't be fooled by logic like "I'd rather have it and not need it than need it than not have it." This logic could be applied to a million things that gun owners don't have.

As far as my comments about not drawing a firearm unless you are planning to use it -- I stand by them. That's why I make a point of avoiding trouble altogether.

I don't want to be in a situation where I have to make any horrible decisions regarding human life.

Sure, sometimes trouble finds you, which is why I support the right to carry guns. But I lose no sleep over the fact that I don't have that right because that right would come with a lot of responsibility that I don't necessarily want to have.

I say this because I know that adding a gun to a toxic situation isn't likely to improve the situation. Someone is probably going to die.

If I lived in the US and had the right to carry, I suppose I'd have to make a decision. But I'd probably decide not to carry one, just like I decided not to wear a bullet-resistant vest everywhere or sink my money into an AED.

Let's be clear, however. If you do have to use a firearm to defend yourself, you'll be on the hook to prove that you had the legal right to do so. That's why you only draw if it's a matter of life or death for you.

Risking 5-20 years in prison is better than being dead. That's about all it's better than.

It's a grave responsibility to carry a firearm, because you have to do so acknowledge that while it might make you feel safer, it adds a serious level of risk at the same time.

You're right, none of this is like a movie, but you're over thinking this like someone who has only seen violence in movies.

We had a guy in Afghanistan, full kit, step outside their Landcruiser when it broke down. He was standing there when a scooter drove by and the passenger slit his throat.

Violence prevention is never a hundred percent, you just prepare for the possible levels and what you can comfortably wear while still fitting in.

I carry a 1911 based 380 acp. Small gun, easy to fit in the pocket. I also have a larger caliber and capacity pistol in the glovebox, because it's easier to pull when I'm driving.

I travel a lot for work, so if I'm going through a zone that is known for physical intimidation and mob violence, I'll put my 5.56 pistol with a 30 round mag next to me.

I just don't understand outsourcing the protection of myself and those I care about. You might as well ask your protector to fuck your wife after he saves her life.

I also don't understand curtailing the work that puts food on the table just because other people want to break the law by forming rule less mobs.

The refugee life is not for me.

Right. I can never understand this either. Some people-liberal faggots- seem to hold a sort of homoerotic fetish about being completely helpless and reliant on "authority" to protect them from the big bad world. I think it's very closely tied to the worship of victim-hood in our society. Which is to say, it's completely unnatural. It's against human nature to want to be helpless and to prefer being seen as the "oppressed" rather than the big bad winner. It's a sick, fucked up society we live in, not that I need to repeat that here.

Anyone else notice how quick the media was to call the shooter(s) "white supremacists"? Contrast this against the response to the Paris shooting -- "Don't say they were Muslim"

The Search Warrant that was filed in the case.

http://stmedia.startribune.com/documents...112615.pdf

Sounds like they did in fact contact a friend that was in LE right away, not exactly calling 911 but it's something. This fact along with a legal CCW and they may have a case of self defense. They've filed an extension to keep them detained until Monday.

The protesters are turning on themselves. They just outlined a new set of rules for protesters. Number 15 is worth noting. I can't wait to watch the cucks hamster this one away.

https://www.facebook.com/BlackLivesMatterMinneapolis/

"1. Stay positive with each other, let's turn up on the state and turn down on each other.
2. Don't engage the cops if they come outside.
3. Don't engage in gang activities.
4. Please stay sober when in the space. Please do not use drugs or alcohol.
5. Respect women, no catcalling, no harassing.
6. Please help stop individual conversations that are disrespectful.
7. Security will be easily visible for people.
8. Non-violent zone: it's a no gun zone, no throwing rocks, and no throwing logs from fire.
9. We will have shifts for visible security. Please tell one of them if you need help.
10. No destruction of property. Do not break windows on cars, or buildings or nearby homes. Do not remove pavers.
11. No kids under 13 years old that are unaccompanied after 7:30pm.
12. We will have daily meetings, updates, and trainings each day.
13. Go to trainings that include civil disobedience and de-escalation. (Schedules to come out.)
14. Religious people please do not try to convert others.
15. White people do not speak to the media."

Haha. How has that group gotten anywhere? Every week I hear about new stupid things they have done.

I expect the next comment will be by another white saying "I support rule #15 and #16 and suggest rule #17 All whites should stand at the back of the protest, behind the black protestors, as black faces are normally marginalised by the media."

We could speed up their implosion by suggesting whites stop supporting them at all now as it's racist or cultural appropriation or something.

Colleges should make separate but equal institutions that can be designated safe spaces for oppressed minorities. Maybe do the same for businesses and governments as well. That way they can be amongst others who need those safe spaces and ensure they don't have any micro-aggressions between themselves and members of the white community.

I believe something like this was already done in the early 20th century tard

Do you keep your AED unit in your car or do you leave it next to the first aid kit at home?

"I can count on one hand, literally, the number of women I have ever met that can take that kind of advice, accept it and make use of it without their epic egos setting metaphorical fire to the conversation.

Most women "looking for advice" are in reality looking for someone to validate their cosmic victimhood, because it's not really their fault, because it's never their fault. This behavioural trait isn't absent among men, but when we fail society cares not, while when women fail there is no shortage of comforting platitudes on offer from every vector.

Quote:Two men wearing what appear to be the same masks and jackets as SaigaMarine and BlackPowerRanger also show up in a video taken by members of the alternative media site Unicorn Riot last week. In it, an interviewer mistakes the two men for supporters of the protests. The pair chat jovially with the interviewer while slipping in, seemingly unnoticed, references to a 4chan group. SaigaMarine again refers to a race war, saying: “It’s boiling, man. It’s going to happen soon. We’re here to watch the fire rise.”

Demonstrators who later saw both videos said they told the police they had spotted the same men at the protests Monday. When the men showed up, protesters said they told them to remove their masks and confronted them. Shortly later, the shootings occurred. After the arrests, posters on 4chan generally condemned the men’s actions after the details emerged — not because they had wounded five people, but largely because they thought the shootings would bring unwanted attention to their group.

Trolls taking it to a whole new level.

I was watching the livestreams last week, they were quite funny. It was basically loads of 'spergs from /k/ and /pol/ seeing how long they could keep the protesters thinking they were part of their group, while constantly spouting memes, Dark Knight Rises quotes, or just straight up baiting them ("You have to admit, it was pretty inconsiderate of him to get shot at this time of year" etc.).

Overall it was cringeworthy, but seeing the Alinsky-wannabe of a community organiser trying to suss them out and deal was great. I guess Rules for Radicals doesn't cover dealing with autism and online imageboards. Some of them put a lot of work in though, a guy actually built a "cuck shed" and brought it to the protest - towards the end of the video, a group of white university-age kids are going inside, trying to interpret it as some kind of modern art - hilarious.

Earlier this week a story broke about a decorated Marine who was jumped by a group of black teens at McDonald’s after asking him if he “believed black lives matter.”
