The article argues that women with hour glass figures produce healthier more intelligent children. But the best quote comes from mangina researcher Martin Tovee:

To be fair in 2007 the meaning of "curvy" was closer to Kim Kardashian curvy then humpty-dumpty curvy.

You are correct. The image they used with the story was of a pre-fat Nigella Lawson. Whom I would bang into the next century, and then have make me a gourmet sandwich.

.7 waist to hip ratio. Sometimes it's called the "discernible waist". Multiple studies bear this out.

A woman doesn't have that? She's put lower down on the physical attraction scale.

When curvy women and BBC are in the same sentence, British Broadcasting isn't the first thing to come to mind.
