The gringo was in the club the first night. There was a large group of them that came and went in the strip club before I arrived the second night. They spoke zero English and weren't from the U.S. If you're there long enough I'm sure you'll cross a few, but it won't be many.

Think I found a nice local connect for San Salvador! This chick lives in Antiguo Cuscatlán, which is the most affluent and expensive bario in San Salvador. Should I try to set up going out with her and her friends on fri or wait till sat night? Im trying to go out solo one night imo. Still trying to get something solid in Guate City.....

On a side note Dash, while you're in Korea you could be building up an automatic internet cash cow. It's what I did to free myself from the day job.

I've been marketing online for 5 years. If it weren't for a bunch of dumb mistakes, I would be making, by my estimates, 6 figures or close. As it stands I make the equivalent of a modest full time income, but it's growing fast since I finally "get" it.

I found her on Livemocha.com then told her to add me on facebook. I have tried to add like 50 chicks on facebook COLD, and only like 2 chicks accepted my friend request! I would in no way believe chicks would not accept my requests but sure enough in San Salvador and Guate City the chicks must be mad reserved about meeting strangers online. I have never experienced that kind of resistance before. Livemocha is coming through tho.

Here is my Gaute City girl im working on also. Found her on Livemocha and told her to add me on facebook as well.

Need to find and talk up one more grl from Guate. That would give me 2 girls in each city im working on waiting for me to touch down

Dash you selling your laptop to go spend 3 days in san salvador? When you go to places like that and for the effort you making to travel there, you should think one week minimum stay at least. I personally like to stay two weeks minimum when i visit a new place, specially when the city is full of hot chicks.

Im leaving for Korea towards the end of August so I have to have a week or two back to get my affairs in preparation for the move. So time is a issue. Salvador isnt the best place to be spending alot of time. All im looking to do is meet some girls / party it up for a weekend and get my Salvadorian flag. And i might not have to sell my laptop although I need to bc Im buying a new one in Korea anyways. I could just bring my moms netbook to use for online stuff on the trip. We will see........

Ok so I just accepted a job offer in Busan Korea which has me leaving in 2 weeks! So I had to just change my itinerary for my Central America trip.

Wasnt to happy with my flight options with Spirit. Here is my new itinerary.

Thur July 21st - San Salvador
Fri July 22nd - San Salvador
Sat July 23rd - Guatemala City
Sun July 24th - Flores / Tikal Ruins
Mon July 25th - Antigua
Tue July 26th - Antigua
Wed July 27th - San Salvador

So its going down nxt week. Need to update my local connects and tell them to to get ready for my arrival alil early

So I have a decision to make.

The fine rich chick will not be getting back into town until that Sat July 23rd. I had plan on going to guate city that day. I really want to hang wit that chick but that would force me to only stay in Antigua for one day/night instead of two.

What should I do? Im leaning more towards staying in San Salvador and dropping a day/night in Antigua.

she's cute, out of curiosity when you went to Colombia did you had a lot success pipe lining? Also, don't change your itinerary over a lizard, chances of her doing the "disappearing act" when you touch down are very high.

Are you going by bus or plane to Flores?

Don't matter. It takes 8 hours by bus (Linea Dorada) to get from Guate to Flores/Santa Elena. Tikal is a ways from there, and if you go, you'll want to go EARLY in the morning. It is way worth it to be the first one there and catch the sunrise. You can also bribe the guard to sleep in the park instead, and stay the night. Bring repellent. 50% deet, NO LESS. I shit you not. I don't think you have enough time, anyways. Consider the grotas de lanquin and Semuc Champay instead, it's a little closer. Fucking amazing place.

Guate - Antigua is one hour with chicken bus, costs a dollar.

san salvador - guate is about 5 hours, they got some fucking sweet buses (KingQuality) for $36. Much cheaper option available to, $15, but no stewards to serve you coffee and breakfast, haha.

First buses leave around 6AM, so be at the terminal in San Salvador at 05.30. Given your short trip, do your sleeping ON the buses, so you have more time on the ground where you @.

Basically, I think your plan is pretty weak. One week is barely enough for El Salvador let alone Guatemala, which is two weeks worth of amazing sites.

Fuck Antigua, it's too far. check out Suchitoto for a Friday or Saturday night. Weekdays that place is dead. Lake Suchitoto should be gorgeous this time of year, you can get there in an hour. Check out Ruta de las Flores, gorgeous, and maybe even hit Tunco down by La Libertad.

If you just wanna party, well, then you shouldn't even leave San Salvador - best party in CA hands down.

Depends on what you mean as success. I didnt fuck any chick I meet online but I got a free stay at a house all to myself in the main center of Santa Marta for 5 days! I got invited into at least 2 social circles. Got personal tours of cities. Had families invite me to their house an cook me dinner.

There was two chicks I wanted to fuck out of the 5 I built up rapor with. Both was in Quilla. The young grl couldnt go out that night after the movie like I had planned. She had to bounce to get home before it got to late due to safety issues with the bus. The other was on vacation for Semana Santa. So I didnt get a fuck out of my pipelining for Colombia but I got alot of other stuff.

Im not worried about them doing a disappearing act. I worked on them to much, they have showed clearly that they like me and want to hang with me. Just off my looks alone I dont worry with any of that. Not to mention all the work put in over chatting and webcam.

Like you saw in the facebook status, she is REMINDING me not to forget to get up with her when I touch down! lol Good Shit!

I am taking the night bus to and from Flores. So I wont be staying any hotel for those two nights. Pretty much go straight to Flores from Guate City at night, get their in the morning. See the ruins during the morning / day, then turn around and jump on the night bus back to Guate City that night.

My itinerary and time is not anything I recommend to another traveler. I am just restricted by funds and time. With that said I will still be able to accomplish / see everything I want to.
