My Introduction
I'd like to say this is the first time I've ever posted on this board, however after a long stint of lurking it's time to come to the surface and start participating. This forum has provided a ton of value, and I hope I'll be able to give enough back.

In six weeks I'll be leaving for a one year trip to Europe, supporting myself via freelance programming. The purpose of this trip is to work on myself, obtaining life experiences and investing time in myself to become a well rounded individual. My intention is to spend six months in two cities, using them as a 'home base' from which to visit other countries and so on. I'm already sold on Belgrade, Serbia for my 2nd home base (during the summer months + when students go back to school).

After thoroughly skimming this forum, I just cannot seem to decide on the second city. Some of it is due to possibly over hype, out dated posts, or lots of conflicting information. I would be willing to learn the language as well. (Any info on how hard it is to pick up the languages for these countries? Spanish is the only other language I know, which obviously wasn't very difficult.

(Not 100% set on these options, feel free to throw out other suggestions. Ruling out the Baltics and FSU for another trip.)

This is essentially what I'm looking for:
- I'd like to spend the bulk of the time working on day game.
- The ease of breaking into social circles/setting up your own network. I have a love of Jiu Jitsu, which I assume would help in making friends early on.
- As far as girls go, generally looking for girls who are fun and receptive to a Canadian approaching them.
- Asses, I like them.
- My previous job was not conducive to having a relationship whatsoever, so it would be nice to have a LTR while I'm there, but not the end all be all.

Not overly concerned with which girls are the easiest, I'm determined to work for it. That being said, I am concerned about places like Romania, where the groups are really tight and tough to break into.

I suppose it's worth noting that I'm 23 years old, outgoing, and not a total novice in terms of 'game' but would like to take this opportunity to work on it.

Hope I provided enough criteria.

I'm the same age as you. I was in both Wroclaw and Budapest earlier this summer.

This is my experience and others may not agree. I had success in Wroclaw but not Budapest. I'd say Poland in general is quite a bit easier on the gaming front although the average quality is higher in Budapest. Male competition in poland was non-existent (my friend and I were mindfucked at how many disparity couples we saw; hot female, ugly dude), whereas in Budapest there were multiple times we were out at night, usually at otkert, where it seemed like we were surrounded by a sea of male models. Hungarian dudes also enjoy cockblocking foreigners then walking away without even trying to pull the girl. It was easier to break in and meet local Polish people, Hungarians seemed a bit more standoffish. I had a Polish gf, who dropped food off at my airbnb after 2 days in the city. I also had a social circle of medical students in Wroclaw within a few days but I'd chalk that up to luck. Wroclaw has a central square, which is ideal for daygame (supposedly its become infested with PUAs, you might want to look into that). Wroclaw seemed to have a proportionately larger student population. Wroclaw nightlife was good and there were viable options on the weekdays but nightlife in Budapest was amazing. General elements of culture (history, quality of food, service, beautiful architecture) were a magnitude higher in Budapest compared to Wroclaw. I found Poland about 10-20% cheaper than Budapest. Both languages are hard to learn, although Polish has similarities with Russian and I'd triage learning that over Hungarian. If I were in your shoes, which I will be in a few months, I'd choose Poland. I think Budapest holds a higher potential but you'd have to commit for a longer-term stay to unlock it.

Haven't been to either Sofia or Bucharest, so I'll let someone else chime in.

Have you visited any of these places as of yet? Before making up your mind I'd suggest you try to move around a bit and decide what city you actually like before deciding on any Ive seen a lot of guys just pick a city before they go and are depressed or dont enjoy it as much as they could anywhere else..... Youre young and mobile so no need in making a rush decision before you even arrive.

I think ElJefe1 is right. If you are on a one year adventure, you can spare a month looking around. Or just turn it into a 13 month trip. Hate for you to commit or think about commuting 6 months to a place you have not seen. A lot of guys scout out some spots. Think of it like test driving a car before buying it.

Just do some advanced online game before you get there so hopefully you have a couple of dates lined up.

Both Wroclaw and Budapest are sick. Balkan is correct in pointing out Hungarian guys are good looking and tall especially at Otkert. Polish dudes look like either meatheads or paperweights. Budapest is bigger, I'd say it's more fun but ideally go to both.

Take this time to learn a local language and become somewhat fluent speaking it. I'd go for Russian if I were you. Both for the girls and for the new world it opens up.

edit: Asses, you like them. Maybe then Russian speaking part of the world will disappoint you.

Hungarian guys are a tall good looking bunch (and a few do have game, not a lot but a few), but they are such dicks that they totally turn alot of their women into chicks who will bang anything but Hungarians, so at the end of the day its not so bad. Jut based on my experience I'd do all cities for like 3-4 months each with the exception of Sophia...

Only been to Wroclaw and Bucharest for less than a week, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

First impressions for me were the following:
Wroclaw: easier girls (by far), more open towards meeting foreigners, cheaper, less competition from other guys, safer.
Bucharest: hotter girls, better educated, more vibrant city, better nightclubs.

Dude fuck Budapest... My least favorite city I have ever visited... I'd rather live in DC or Toronto. I'll die before I go back.

Coolest thing Budapest has going for it is ElJefe ... but even that cat ain't cool enough to justify how much I despise that place.
