I first noticed Cheryl Ladd when she played Kris Munroe on Charlie's Angels. She replaced Farrah Fawcett after the first season and stayed on the show until it ended. She's 64 now and still looking great. Here is her official web site:

Always liked Cheryl Ladd. Maybe this is the place I can admit that I picked up the two albums she put out circa 1978-79 for $1 each back in the late '90s when no one wanted vinyl and you could get it cheap. She did the original version of a "mom music" easy listening song Dionne Warwick later had a huge hit with (below).

The late 1970s has to be some sort of golden era for TV women. Two others that stayed hot for decades were Priscilla Barnes ("Three's Company") and Lynda Carter, who played "Wonder Woman." Neither looks as good as Ladd now, though.

I was seven years old when I started watching Charlie's Angels. It was the second season when it was on Wednesday at 9pm. It was Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, and Cheryl Ladd. It was probably the first adult drama that caught my eye. It was because it had beautiful women who were smart and strong.

It's definitely a show that should have lasted longer. Unfortunately, they could never replace Kate Jackson.

I expected to be highly skeptical of a true wall survivor at 64, but it's true. I still wouldn't bang, even though I'm 51. But if she has a husband or long term partner, he's a lucky man.

Why do these threads still pop up. Do the posters really have some vested interest in these chicks.

You just can't get them out of your head.

Any famous person with money shouldn't be considered for wall or post wall.
These people have all the money to hire trainers, cooks, plastic surgery ect.

Of course, they are gonna age much slower.

Find me a trailer park mom that is aging graceful.

If everyone had access to the luxuries of the rich, then everyone would be a wall survivor.

To answer just the first part of your post: Yes, we do.

There is a concept that researchers at Duke University came up with that I once read about. It's called "the memory bump." The idea is that all memories are not equal. Things we remember from our adolescence loom much larger and create a "bump" in the otherwise linear patterns of our memories.

So, for guys over 40, Cheryl Ladd is, was, and will always be hot because we first got a glimpse of her at an impressionable. Similarly, guys who are around 30 will identify with Britney and Christina (or someone who was big circa 1999-2003) the same way.

I realize we're coming close to sounding like my great uncles who droned on about the ancient Hollywood stars of their youth like Rita Heyworth. But...that's the nature of memories, I guess. And I think Cheryl still looks hella fine!

I recently listened to a cassette tape made by some relatives in the early 70's — an "audio letter" sent to another family member. At one point the mother mentioned that the eldest daughter's prom was coming up soon, and the daughter had just finished making her gown for it.

The game show pics of Ladd aren't bad, though they're taken from Ladd's own website, and the pixelated font on them makes it look like something published in the early 2000's. On the San Antonio Woman magazine cover, Ladd has been 'shopped within an inch of her life.

Interestingly, while the 70's pin-up shot posted by puckerman is a studio shot, with great lighting, makeup, hair, etc., it appears not to have been airbrushed at all. Look at the marks on Ladd's arm and the small hairs on her leg glowing in the light. She truly was gorgeous in her day.

This is likely true. Airbrusing was all they could do back then.

Needless to say, I'm never starting another thread again about wall survivors. Yes, all these actresses who played the angels on the TV series do have a special place in my heart. And unlike the movies produced by that freak Drew Barrymore, the angels carried guns on the TV series and used them.

And I would definitely rather have Cheryl Ladd or Jaclyn Smith in their 60's in my bed than Lucy Liu, Cameron Diaz, or Drew Barrymore.

Here is the article I got that factoid about the memory bump from. I think when we're dealing with women on the level of LeBrock or Ladd, it probably transcends age.

I personally have a thing for a woman who was in Playboy long before I could have appreciated her (Janet Lupo!).
