RE: Weightlifting is not a panacea for attraction problems
The best thing he said was to do 12 - 15 reps for each exercise.

The calves thing is crap, I know many guys who are naturally jacked but calves are lacking.

Aye.

My calves are the only body part I have that give me problems. I only have to look at someone doing a shoulder press to grow my delts. I can skip and calf raise all day and only get minor growth.

Frustrating but it is pure genetics. My dad has been a lifelong bodybuilder and had the exact same problem.

Almost the same here. My biological father was also a bodybuilder and has the high skinny calf. I am built like sprinter, the high skinny calf. The only problem is like you, if I just look at the bench press or even dumb bells, my chest and biceps automatically grow. It is kind of holding me back since I prefer symmetry and I haven't been adding mass just so the rest of my body doesn't outgrow my calves. Anyone else had the same issue and able to shock their (high) calves into growing?

High calves simply don't have as much growth potential due to the shorter length. Nothing you can really do about it. I also have high calves, long glutes, and a high CoM like most sprinters, and have always been pretty fast. I actually quite like the look as it makes what upper body development I have look bigger.

Do it. I have quite a few gripes with the 'perma-bulking community'. In short, how they accuse a lot of people with muscle mass AND low BF% of using gear, and how they refuse to accept anything other than strength training.

Chances are your 13% wasn't an accurate measurement I.E Dexa scan.

Powell has dozens of recorded height and weight measurements throughout his career ranging from 180lb-185lb.

The only other factor is weight distribution. I know a lot of white guys who carry a decent amount of weight in their calves and forearms. Adds quite a lot of mass but takes away from the area's that give the 'illusion' of size.

My guess though is that you would have been far higher than 13%. Most people guess more than 5% lower than they actually are.

As a for instance I'm at 15% measure with a dexa scan in this pic.

Looking great!

I'd like to point out however that DEXA scans measure intra-abdominal fat, not just subcutaneous fat, subtract about 4-5% depending on how you're built to get your subcutaneous fat percentage.

I'd guess your subcutaneous fat percentage to be about 10%.

Man thanks for this clarification! I was like WTF is going on if this is really what 15% BF looks like. He's definitely sub 10% subcutaneous BF in this pic. I would estimate he's at 8%.

Yeah I am in that camp, sometimes my workouts just consist of doing calves and abs. I have added a little to my calves, but I do 140 reps on different machine.
Still they aren't anything to brag about.

This is an interesting case study. This dude was in the news a few months ago, talking about his expensive personal training, diet and incredible transformation. So now he has to come clean about his steroid use, an okay body but I am surprised he is using gear.

It is 15%. I have photo's of around sub ten which shows a clear difference. I guess at the end of the day though - The number is irrelevant. The best indicator is the mirror.

In regards to the guy talking about calf size versus muscular potential: I've got to disagree on that one. My calves are more or less pathetic but I've otherwise managed to build some decent size.

Good post but brah sounds bitter. I've noticed a very high percentage of bodybuilders, esp. the younger "aesthetics over size" crew profoundly hate women. Many started out as this guy

Meh, these guys - especially the younger ones - are simply in the anger phase of the Red Pill.

When they were skinny, they were told all sorts of Blue Pill lies about women.

Then they start lifting and getting attention from women, and then they realize they've been lied to.

Wouldn't you be angry?

But eventually, you get tired of being angry. Could be a while for some, though.

I still am in a way. Pretty sure there will always be some residual anger left.

Aesthetics over size crew, but don't hate women. In fact, I love women.

Weightlifting in itself is not a panacea for attraction problems, otherwise permabulking fat 'powerlifters' would be slaying.

Having a sub 10% BF with good muscle mass though IS the best way to increase your physical attractiveness.

Performance>aestetics>size crew

I'd rather be able to perform physically in general being able to fuck women's soul out of them by not getting tired, being able to fuck them in stretched out awkward positions and just in general being able to destroy that pussy by sliding inside and blasting it to pieces like the bad ass pilot sliding into the death star planet in his x-wing in the new star wars movie.

Simple truths of life and game:

1. All other things being equal, an in shape male will get laid more than an out of shape male.
2. All other things being equal, a tall male will get laid more than a short male.
3. All other things being equal, a wealthy male will get laid more than a poor male.

Refuting any of those three points is an exercise in male hamsturbation.

God'll prolly have me on some real strict shit

Moma,

I think generally performance and aestetics go hand in hand. Most athletes look like athletes. For the most part they look lean, quick, fast and strong because they are all of those. Of course there are exceptions but for the most part people want to look like athletes because their bodies and their performance represent the peaks of human ability and genetic potential.

That thread basically proves what I was saying in this thread.

Not a fair example. That poster is damaged and needs real world therapy by trained professionals.

I guarantee you he is noticed by women, but is simply oblivious to their sexual interest and social cues due to both being trapped inside his own head and from lacking genuine empathy for others. He's created his life script for himself as a loser, and when offered help and practical suggestions by the Forum to immediately improve his lot, he chose the path of least resistance to maintain his negative self-image rather than taking positive, disciplined action to create lasting change.

At my age, I've learnt that most people complain about their lives not wanting help or actionable advice, but simply to seek sympathy, attention and positive reinforcement of the excuses they make to avoid change, which is hard and unfamiliar, even scary.

Learn to recognise them for both the Time Suck and Negative Energy Clouds they are. If you entertain them, you will still be hearing the same problems and the same excuses months, or even years, apart, and, when you change the script and put any expectation on them, they will reward your time and patience by lashing out at you.

Before all my travelling in 2015, I had a bodybuilding mate with - there's no other way to truthfully put it - Absolute Fat Cunt of a girlfriend, and spent two years hearing him constantly moan about her during training. Towards the end, I recognised, as bitchy as she is, he was just catastrophising and obsessing over every little conflict they had, rather than just being a man and taking control of the dynamic or ending it, which would be positive forward motion in his life, which would stop wasting both his time and hers, since her Biological Clock is ticking.

I'd given him actionable advice over many months, he'd praise me for my 'wisdom' and tell me 'what a good mate' I was, then would refuse to do anything except bury his head in the sad until he'd eventually circle back around to the complaint stage again.

When I came back a few weeks ago, he immediately tried to re-engage me as a training partner and pick up where he'd left off, but admitted, after telling me early last year he wanted nothing to do with her and the thought of having a kid with her repulsed him, because she was so nasty he didn't think he was capable of loving her anymore, that he was now trying for a child with her to the degree to have engaged a fertility clinic, then immediately followed it up by saying what a bitch she was for their latest fight, looking for sympathy.

I simply said: "Mate. You've wilfully-chosen mediocrity, so stop fucking whining to me about it and just embrace it already."

Be prepared. With the single mother / absent father epidemic, there's a lot of these whiny bitches about.

^I agree with the gist of your post but i don't think you're being fair to that guy. Beta mental struggle is real and you don't seem to understand it.

I've enjoyed your posts on this forum with respect, awe and admiration so far. But I can't help but notice certain factors that work in your favor which you tend to be uncharacteristically oblivious to.

1) You're an Australian in the US. I've seen short, skinny-fat and beta Aussie guys pull decent punani in the US just by virtue of having an Australian accent.

2) You're a Musician. Guys in bands could look like they're 2 months away from dying of AIDS while sleeping on a dirty mattress in a studio apartment in NYC and still fuck badder bitches than your average RVF member.

3) You're heavily tattooed. Bitches love tattoos. Couple that with the above two factors i mentioned and you got yourself heavily precipitating pussy.

4) You're 6'6 and without doubt got a high IQ. Hit the genetic fucking lottery right there.

5) I don't like to bring up race since I don't think it matters as much as people would like to believe. But it matters slightly. You're white. Top of the international sexual totem pole right there.

6) You mentioned you grew up poor-ish in the Australian equivalent of the projects. I'm sure that upbringing rendered you early "red pill" life experiences and lessons that guys from wealthier backgrounds spend decades trying to learn and internalize.

But what do you do?

You slap all the success and surreal experiences you have with women to "getting jacked" and weighing 230 pounds or whatever.

You have a point to an extent but you're vastly over-estimating what a top 10 or 5% body can do for your sex life. It's your other qualities coupled with your body that are leading to the kinda experiences with bitches that even jacked guys with some game could only dream of.

I hope newbies don't get the wrong idea by reading your posts, desperately feeding on brown rice, chicken and broccoli hoping that a 6 foot, 225 pound and 8 % bf physique will solve all of their problems.

The real struggle is mental and a lot of high level players tend to dub newbies as "negative" or "weak", completely ignoring the fact that it's easier to get jacked than to rewire your whole brain.

A lot of guys (myself included) who train hard and are dedicated to the gym have been brought by a friend to channel their anger due to a break up with THE girl.
You need that anger as a motivation fuel to keep going hard on the weight.
The best player I know always say "aesthtics won't beat fun, women are bored and your muscles won't entertain them long".

Tell them too much, they wouldn't understand; tell them what they know, they would yawn.
They have to move up by responding to challenges, not too easy not too hard, until they paused at what they always think is the end of the road for all time instead of a momentary break in an endless upward spiral

I am a little confused at where that came from. Bosch is talking about how people like to suck attention from others under the guise of asking for help when in fact all they want to do is have an outlet to bitch to and get attention.

Having a muscular body and low body fat would enhance a newbie players chances dramatically vs the guy with a flabby body and game.

On top of that, what was the point of trying to drag up the guys upbringing from a poorish area? All that shows me is that the guy had to get his shit together on his own, unlike so many of the other guys who aren't born into well off families like you seem to be from, based on your thoughts on that.

Yeah not everyone can be 6 foot plus, but everyone can be muscular and have low body fat. And that does enhance a guys chances with the lizards.
