So there is this girl that i really like and we met at dog training class. She was one of the instructors and usually after class i would talk to her for about 5 minutes. She is a junior in high school and im a sophomore in college. I have looked around for girls on my college campus but they all seem to be basic and im just not interested in them. This girl that i like who shall remain nameless is kind of shy and we are friends on FB. I I made a bet with my friends that I was ask her out next weekend, but in order to do this i need to have some regular conversations. How do i start the conversation and lead to asking her out?

Just ask her if she wants to hang out sometime. She'll probably say yes, you exchange numbers, and if you meet up great. If she doesn't text back, she's probably not interested.

sounds simple enough, i honestly dont care what other people think about this because thats just a waste of my time, but my friends challenged me because they know that i never back down from a challenge so in a way they are trying to motivate me, but thank you for the advice. i have a tendency to overthink a lot of things which is my main problem

Being a junior in high school, make sure she is over the age of consent in your state.

You met at a dog training class? Too fucking easy, invite her to the dog park. I used to take dates to the dog park when I was single.

I'm assuming both of you have dogs? Pick her and her dog up and take them on a play date. Dogs do funny shit all the time, its easy to make jokes and be playful the whole time. Worried about it being too friendly and not sexual enough? Wait until one dog humps another dog and make sexual jokes. Dog parks are one of the most underrated first date ideas.

If she doesn't have a dog, invite her with to the dog park to help teach your dog fetch/not jump on people/learn frisbee/etc. I'm doubting she would say no since she is obviously into dogs.

Whatever you do - don't ask her on a date - not only is it more overt (she may reject you before the date, which means you don't get a chance for he to discover why she should spend more time with you) but it is outmoded.

People just hang out or straight up invite people to events/activities without ever calling it a date.

Like wi30 said - take her to a dog park. Invite her to get ice cream and go for a walk. The winter is coming up - tell her to come ice skating with you. Action dates are good. When you've kissed her - then invite her back to your place for netflix and chill - BANG!

Or you could skip all that and just go directly to netflix and chill. But judging from your questioning on the newbie forum - I'd suggest you go with my (wi30's) first suggestion. If there's any other information you can give us, please do.

Any chance to see her in person / ask her out in person instead of Facebook, especially since you haven't chatted much?

A simple one is: "how was your weekend?" Also "doing anything fun this weekend?"

It can elicit a lot of useful information. Does she have a boyfriend, what kind of things she likes, is she going to be available that day. It's also innocent enough to be small talk.

She might ask you the same question back.

If you ask her out, suggest it for a definite activity (eg dog park) on a specific day. If she wants to decline, she can just say she's busy that day, or she's not into the activity. It saves face for both people.

As easy as it is to socialize with college girls In COLLEGE, why are you trying get a high school girl?

Your just ask for trouble dealing with a high school girl.

As for those college women who are "basic", practice your mouth peice ( game) and rinse&repeat.

Build a reputation with the "basics" and spin plates. Then add her to rotation when she's 18, if you desire.

Easier said than done but better than sharing a cell with Jared.
