Recently I had a visit from the Reaper. I don't want to go too deeply into it, but I came very close to checking out permanently due to a health issue. I'm fine, no men in black following me around or any other supernatural visitors.
But it all made me think: what would you do if you found out you had one week to live?
I thought about all the joke bucket list ideas: weekend in Vegas, find some 10's, etc., but it all seems so pointless. I'd want to be remembered the right way. I think I would go down to Philadelphia and volunteer to help the police. I'd ask to be put on patrol in on the most gang-infested part of town.

People would riot, loot, steal, take drugs and rape. The only reason why the London riots ended is because a group of men were going to go out and rape children in Birmingham, so the police put an end to it.

Have as many kids as possible.

I'd settle my affairs, making peace with those who I care about and saying goodbye.

I'd spend some time in seclusion, writing a small journal about what lessons I had learned from life and what sort of man I truly am without shame.

I'd make love to the most beautiful woman I could find who I had the strongest emotional connection to. I'd pour every emotion I had into it, likely creating an alpha widow.

In my last hours I'd go out into nature and get as present as possible, trying to wring as much flavour out of those moments as I could.

I take my life savings out in cash.

Buy a URL, upload a wordpress landing page.

Start stories on social media platforms. Start charity pages.

I'm looking for a young man worthy of my assets.

Take a verifiable photo of the cash and send my plans and story to my preferred news reporters with doctor's certificates.

Go to my all boys high school that I graduated from a half a decade ago.

Stand on the sidewalk and give out $20 notes to everyone walking by with a business card pointing to my URL.

On my landing page will be a sufficient challenge to sift the wheat from the chaff.

Near the end of the week I hang with the handful of winners.

I choose my favourite young man, gift him everything I own and as I die I hand him my manifesto.

I would not have much time so, I would just use my cash to organize an orgy with my best friends who truly enjoy that (that's probably one guy and one woman) and beautiful and skillful prostitutes -A levels required- from all ethnicity. Probably rent their company for the full week and do some other cool and fun activities. Of course near a Crystal clear beach with tropical weather.

Not much alcohol but I'd probably take shrooms and smoke a chronic at some point of the week. Maybe try some drugs that I would never otherwise try such as cocaine. Maybe I'd also fly to a ski resort for a day or 2.

Probably not change much. Not because I'm living some sort of ideal life now, but because I simply would not believe "them". Maybe tell the doctor that announced the diagnosis that I was going to prepare 5 molotov cocktails, but store them unused for two weeks. If I was still alive then I'd collect them up and lob them at his house. OK, molotov cocktail much too extreme, but something in that spirit.

There is a healthy level of denial. There is (probably) quite literally something seriously "wrong" with all of us for virtually all our life. If you can't (genes), or won't (willpower?) do something about it it's healthier just to forget about it

The Most honest answer I can give is; I don't know and many of us wont ever. But we can plan I suppose? Or rather have a general idea like I do.
To be honest I really have no clue what I would do, but I do know what I could plan to do and here are those things

1: Get on good terms with my family and close friends
2: Try to extend my duration (according to DABDA / Kubler-Ross theory I would eventually anyways so not much I can do)
3: Try to get as many notches as physically possible
4: Have a kid, I personally want my line of heritage to continue, as many do. I mainly mean I want a son.
5: Try to have a romantic LTR with one girl (while still performing 3 and 4)
6: Do what I've always wanted. depending on my future changes in perspective that can be from reading a whole book series to skydiving, etc etc.
7: Say my goodbyes early to those whom i might not see again/before my passing
8: Write a journal of my life or the more important times
9: Tell those who have hurt me and remorse over it that they are forgiven, because no one wants to live with unfinished business, especially when they think they are to blame for it. They may do something bad to themselves, such as suicide. I never want anyone to go through that.
10: Write a Short story or some of it.(yes I understand one cannot write a novel in a week but i have a family remember? I will develop it and someone will finish it)
11: Do something very stupid and something ingenious.
12: Make myself a memorable person.
13: Binge a show with my Closest friend

That is really all I can think of but I think many people will follow this guideline even if they haven't read it.
