2015, at 50 you've seen an increase in male thirst, obesity, flaking, and shitty tattoos on women the West. Women at the 7 and 8 level you would have smashed with ease in 2005 are deluded internet models now that LOVE Dubai. At this point you are fluent in two or three languages, know the culture well, have local friends and ready to expat for good. You find a beautiful, humble 20 yr old in [non-anglo country] and decide to settle down.

Not trying to pick your post apart, but as a counterpoint, my half brother was born in 1965 in America. Sadly, his life path took a much different one from your hypothetical guy. First half of his life went pretty much the way you said, except in 1983 he went to medical school to become a doctor instead of joining the military. He met a girl, got married, popped out 3 kids, and ended up getting divorce raped. Now he's re-married to another girl with 2 kids of her own. I only hope he makes it work this time.

I can see myself taking your path instead of my brother's. I just hope it's not too late.

From a sheer SMP perspective, Generation X Americans (born in the 60s/early-70s) may have had it pretty good. Moving into your late teens and 20s in the 80s and 90s, if you were in the know with game/red pill, you could have cleaned up in this era, or just found a solid wife, or both. A lot of those hardcore early, early PUA guys discovered and honed their craft (day game, night game, phone game, understanding the female hamster) as far back as the 1980s. The women were noticeably more innocent, which made them better gf/wife material, but also, with the right amount of push-pull, probably also very gullible and seduceable. I sense the 80s to at least the early 90s saw a good equilibrium of wife-material and good-time material options, often in the same woman! Hyper-liberalism/SJWism was still far off on the horizon, and women hadn't been corrupted by smart phones and the internet. It was a simpler time and if you had the knowledge and assets (looks, decent game, etc), you probably could have had it any way you wanted. Not to mention, it was also a very prosperous time economically in the United States and there was still some good music on mainstream radio.

That said, 2 by-gone eras that would have been super fun to have been a part of:

1) The Wild West in the late 19th century. While most of inhabited USA was sexually chaste and conservative, apparently, there was a lot of whoring around on the western frontier. I have a dream where I am a part-time ranch-hand, part-time rebel, doing little robbery jobs here and there while getting into bar fights and fucking whores and hot town tramps in every western outpost town. I'd ride down to Old Mexico and bang up a bunch of hot Mexicanas, work my way out west and enjoy the excesses of San Francisco; whiskey, women and gold, then find myself a piece of cheap land, start a ranch and settle down with a hot wife.

2) The Age of Exploration. Adventure and danger sailing the oceans, exploring new, exotic lands in the Americas, Africa, etc, and banging foreign women. Maybe getting your own ship and starting a merchant business or just become a rogue pirate. I would have liked to have been in the Spanish Navy, settled in Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, etc., exploring the terrain, living on the edge, helping with the creation of the mestizo race.

Sometimes I wish I was born a few years later than I was. My household didn't have a computer til I was well into high school. I didn't really hit my stride really gettting into computers, affiliate marketing, web design, private labeling, etc til just a few years ago. I can't help but think if all the stuff today with social media, online shopping carts, etc was around when I was growing up and I'd have more access to it maybe I could have been a big startup founder or something. I remember back as a kid setting up a little makeshift store in my room and having friends come over to buy baseball cards. I can't help but think if I were born a few years later maybe I'd be on eBay or have an ecommerce store or something doing very well before I ever even graduated high school.

That said there's many downsides to being the generation growing up now as the whole world has become pc and pussified, everones gotta wear bike helmets, cameras in schools, no holiday parties allowed, all the stuff that drives me crazy about how things are today.

Overall I'm pretty satisfied the time I grew up. I get the benefits of technology and also I feel like I was the last generation that wasn't totally pussified and PC.

I was born in the mid 60s in the Northeast USA. One thing that changed in my lifetime is that loss of national cohesion. National unity. Sure there was always disagreements and differences (sometimes pretty bad ones) but American's felt part of the same team more or less.

When I was a kid there was no Internet, and virtually no cable tv. So everyone watched the same shows. Every family was the same. The family would gather around the tv and watch Happy Days or some other innocent G rated show, and then the kids would go to school the next day and talk about it with the other kids and the teachers and share some yuks.

I went to a mostly white school, but there were a few black kids. They integrated well, and they had plenty of white friends. No black kid ate alone in the cafeteria. I hardly heard about race or feminism growing up. We talked about slavery in History and they didn't pull any punches about it, but we weren't made to feel guilty about it either. Our teachers were patriotic and the founding fathers were held up as larger than life heroes. We celebrated the pilgrims, and Lincoln and Washington. We were taught about liberty and the constitution and bill of rights. There was no strife. No SJWism.

It was a good time to be a kid.

I was born in the 60s and of course remember the 80s very well, it was a great time period to be young. The culture was always changing, the music was cool and the fashion was well what can you say about it.

The best thing, is that girls/women made the effort to be with boys/men. We did not have "girl power" and feminism was some fringe thing that was started in the 60s.

Growing up there was an innocence, which seems to have been destroyed now. I hardly see little kids playing on the streets, maybe a few playing basketball in their driveways.

though there are a lot of "eras" I would like to visit i truly think right now (the 21st century) is the best time to be alive

1) the internet - can make money on the internet, can learn about anythign on the internet, can listen to all kinds of music, read all kinds of books, order dubious goods and services, etc etc

2) racism, violence, etc are at all time lows (depending on who you are/where you live. but guessing that most people posting here grew up in western society or some other affluent situation, i.e. not 3rd world africa or bad parts of the middle east where you were worried about getting murked and had no drinking water)

3) girls are the most open/sexually liberal they've ever been
- imagine back in the day trying to "game":
girls literally weren't allowed out of the house in lots of places

4) it is so easy to travel now - just google about your destination for a little bit and you'll know everything

I can't say I disagree with a lot of your points, but there are some things that you are definitely missing here. This forum's beloved New York City was a complete crime infested warzone in the 80's. Miami had just inherited a huge population of people who were thrown out of Cuba. South Beach was a complete wasteland. Communication was obviously horrible since you had to rely on pay phones and home landlines. Colombia in the Pablo Escobar days? Forget about it. Meeting foreign girls in the United States? I've never been to Miami, I've only spent a few days in NYC, so I was more focused on west coast US. I think LA would have been good in the 1980s. My post mentioned that Eastern European was just opening up and Asia was open too, so it was more about foreign travel.

Right now, not debatable.

Internet allows you to literally learn anything. All of the following you can learn from the internet, and are several of the following: lucrative, prestigious, interesting, location independent.

Trading, investing, SEO, coding, design, affiliate marketing, copywriting.

All my friends (late teens early 20s) travel by themselves. Work, save up. Go on the internet, book flight, book hotel. At a time when we couldn't even legally drink. Don't think our parents did that.

Chicks are easier than they've ever been. Resources on the internet for DAYS. Freedom to travel anywhere. Social Media allows you to connect with friends at any time. WiFi everywhere.

Oh, and competition at an all-time low. The internet amplifies the core. People are weeded out, as people with drive are rewarded, while the lazy have the option of living vicariously through celebrities & being outraged by the media.
